our fading light is at its end // allied training - teef - 01-07-2019 [align=center] --------------------------------------------------------------------------- [color=#7E354D]BAI SHI " my own illusion come to be " --------------------------------------------------------------------------- preparations were nearing completion. war was about to break and everyone had to band together. stand as one or die as many. for those of the rosebloods, war was already being set into motion, acts of vengeance being spelt against the pitt and bodies laid on the borders. blood was going to be spilt, it was inevitable. comfort was given to the few that could take it, mothers held their crying children and families shared condolences and last meals. the dead were ready to walk their burial path, and the sky would be dyed red. precautions were made, breaths taken and held, waiting for the crack of thunder. today was no different, cautious and mourning looks being spread around the entirety of the area. walking on eggshells and anxiety pitching in throats too used to screams and wails. the warriors watched with hooded eyes, not ready, not willing to re-enter combats that had long since been writhing beneath the surface. a roar would rock the normally bubbling city of stone and stand, the streets silent save for the echoing roar that called all to the arena, the warfare nomarch's den. it was open to all, beckoning in allies and those within the group. a time had been specified for the event and a date set, and it had begun. this was an allied training session, set between the rosebloods and tanglewood, meant to get each group ready for the war that approached, and to tighten bonds and get out tensions between members. "those who are going to war must know what they are doing, and those who have made war before must pass on their knowledge to the next generation. knowledge will be passed, sweat will be shed, blood will be spilt and mixed, and tears will be worn. the cost of war is high and it is heavy. nobody is expected to make it out alive or without their own scars. but we must come together, we must know each other as we know our own claws and teeth. we must be able to trust each other with our lives. for we are one family, one singularity striving for survival. war has not yet fallen upon the few lucky ones, but both those condemned by war and those yet to enter the fray may both succeed and thrive from this. this is the start of our training session with you, tanglewood. to our alliance and survival!" the golden serpent spoke from the center of the arena when others had arrived, the sun centering them in the spotlight. they would proceed to then split the sparring members into groups and lay down guidelines per group, hopefully comprised of equal amounts of tanglers and rosebloods.
