hear the patriots shout / ascendants visit + sephiroth needed - clarence a. - 12-31-2018 Clarence wasn't sure about how this would go, if he was being entirely honest. He wanted it to be peaceful. He wasn't much for fighting over nothing and, not that this was nothing, but he'd prefer to avoid getting Ascendants into a conflict if he could help it. He hoped they wouldn't be offended by the accusations but he just had to be sure. He didn't want to make any decision, or not make it, without knowing every bit of information. So here he was. He'd never been in the Roseblood's territory but it hadn't been too difficult to make his way here. He settled down at the border, taking a deep breath. He didn't bother calling out, as he knew someone would arrive soon enough. That and the fact they were allies made him a bit more relaxed for this visit than some of the other ones he had to make. While the nature of this conversation would likely be... tense, none of the Rosebloods really knew that yet and, from his understanding, probably wouldn't expect it. He didn't like blindsiding them but at least that meant he didn't have to worry about getting attacked or something of that nature. So, for now, the Seraph seemed content to wait until someone arrived. "hello. what brings you to our border today?" they asked clarence, blue eyes fixated on the man. they were not the most trusting after being captured by the pitt. Re: hear the patriots shout / ascendants visit + sephiroth needed - ORPHEUS - 12-31-2018 [div style="max-width: 500px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 9.5pt; line-height: 1.4;letter-spacing:.1px"]Orpheus wasn't fond of the journey here, if only because of what possibly sat ahead of them. He didn't want to find out that the place he had just been to a short while ago had done the things Ninazu had said. Morality was a strong point with him, however twisted and strange his own ideas of that could be. Everything about the situation has the plum red lion wanting to squirm where he sits near Clarence, but he manages to keep himself still. He seems as calm as ever, even with a warm smile gracing his features. Though it might be a good time to answer Bai Shi's question, it seems like a job for their wise leader and he doesn't want to overstep. For now, he simply lifts a paw to wave. Re: hear the patriots shout / ascendants visit + sephiroth needed - VALE - 12-31-2018

Vale only heard rumors of the ardent's visit, though the jaguar thought the whole thing a political move. The Pitt disliked everyone, didn't they? It seemed reasonable to assume they wanted to drive a wedge between the Rosebloods and their allies. Still, as someone who'd been accused of sacrificing and eating babies, Vale would hate to find proof anyone actually did that nasty shit. Falling in line with Orpheus and Clarence, the jaguar's tail lashed when the massive serpent came over. Warily, she looked askance at the overgrown lizard; the woman hadn't seen dragons around before. "We heard some interesting rumors about your... religious practices," she answered, before glancing back at Clarence. She itched to take the lead on this, but undermining her brother right after he ascended to leadership probably wouldn't make him feel too good.

Re: hear the patriots shout / ascendants visit + sephiroth needed - Jiyu Simul Stamus - 12-31-2018 The calico arrived shortly behind Bai Shai a noticeable growth straining against the skin of her spine causing her normally lithe form to be hunch backed, movements slower than normal. Sitting beside the guard the female looked at them nothing within her expression, completely stoic like a statue or the dead. It seemed that The Roseblood had gotten used to her as no one seemed bothered by her frozen nature anymore, but she doubted allies would be as easy to accept her so she had stayed as out of sight as she could throughout most of the past months. However, as time had went on she had slowly began to believe especially after what happened with the typhoon that Sepiroth was worse than her with other sentient creatures. Jiyu had seen what happened when someone lost all allies due to stupid selfish pride, she didn't intend to watch it happen again if she still didn't know what the hell her job was or how to do it. "I'm Jiyu Simul Stamus, Vizier, if you tell me what you heard I can clear things up as apart from the pharaoh I currently know the most about many of our religious practices. In fact we just had the winter rose festival not long ago, though we kept it to us since we didn't know how the aspects would react to it this year, but since it went well I'm planning to have us invite our allies to it next year, though everyone will have to bring flowers." her voice was like the static on a tv, not inviting nor aggressive more of white noise than anything else. Jiyu couldn't change who she was, talking about that wretched plant filled celebration was enough as it was, setting things up because she already knew no one would be spreading rumors about that thing. No this certainly regarded to the sacrifices that Sepiroth had the group watch him preform sometimes. Hopefully she could take care of this, she doubted the pharaoh would be tactful if he arrived, she barely had tact herself as it was. Bai Shi had more tact than the two of them. Why couldn't this be something she could eat? Re: hear the patriots shout / ascendants visit + sephiroth needed - teef - 12-31-2018 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- BAI SHI " my own illusion come to be " --------------------------------------------------------------------------- a relaxed expression fell over the nomarch's visage, "jiyu here is best for religious practices. i can assure you that the rumors you hear are likely falsehoods. would you care to bring them up so we can review them?" they asked peacefully, tipping their head. down their left foreleg, the limb was torn up and bandaged, not even the shoulder escaped deep damage. they mainly avoided using this limb, silver staining through the bandaging against their golden scales. "i am bai shi, nomarch of warfare of the rosebloods." they rumbled, shaking out their head and mane. they were aware of jiyu rather obviously, coughing slightly at the cold air from the descending desert night. they gave a look over the group before them and gave a tired sigh, "it is becoming cold. I will bring you all to my den, we will use that as our meeting hub, for it is rather large." Sephiroth's velvet voice announced his arrival, padding up with authority in his stride. His eyes quickly flashed over to their guest, the Ascendants. Hm. They had been rather quiet recently, what had been going on? "I'm sure matters can be discussed here, as is the usual?"After politely addressing his Nomarch Sephiroth's eerie eyes moved to the trio of Ascendants members, sitting down with a soft grunt as eh prepared himself for politics. "And what matters are we too discuss today? I am especially interested in what you-" The Pharaoh's eyes moved to Vale, unblinking and strong. "Mentioned about our religion?" Re: hear the patriots shout / ascendants visit + sephiroth needed - clarence a. - 01-01-2019 Clarence listened silently as conversation continued, although he pressed his lips together slightly when he heard Vale's statement. He would've preferred to wait until their leader was present to begin such conversations, although there wasn't anything he could do about it now, he supposed. However, at the mention of moving to a den inside the camp, he tensed considerably and opened his mouth to decline until Sephiroth arrived and waved away the possibility for him, causing him to relax once again. The idea of being in the middle of the Roseblood's camp for a potentially tense conversation didn't sit well with him at all and he was more than happy to discuss these matters out in the open. "Yes, I do want to discuss your religious practices and our concerns regarding them, but first I'd like to inform you that Atticus has stepped down and I have been left in his place as the Ascendant's Astral Seraph. My name is Clarence Aston. I assume you must be Sephiroth?" he spoke quickly before continuing, "As far as our conversation regarding the Roseblood's religious practices, recently we heard that your people sacrifice sentient animals as part of their religious proceedings and that these actions are supported by the leadership here. I simply come to learn if that information is correct, so that we can proceed with this conversation accordingly, if it is, and if not, so my mind can be brought some peace regarding the matter," he explained, looking towards the Roseblood's Pharaoh as he spoke. I wish a long leadership onto you." Sephiroth would rumble politely, inclining his head as he spoke to the new leader. His expression was unreadable, but was pleasant enough to not be taken as threatening. The lion owned any room he stepped into and commanded attention and respect. He could not lot that image falter.Ah. Looked like it was time to address this to their allies. The male would lift an invisible brow, twitching his whiskers as he gazed at Clarence. He allowed the silence to hang tensely for a few heartbeats longer to choose his wording carefully, before he spoke again with his low and deep inflection. "Why yes, that is indeed something we do here. Our Aspects demand tribute and we give it to them. It is how we have stayed safe throughout the hardships our group has gone through." Even though it clearly wasn't a very popular ritual, judging by the clan's reaction when he had first announced and general hard looks he got whenever the topic was brought up, Sephiroth still kept it up if only out of spite, and to weed out the weak among them. His eyes settled onto the Ascendants leader, unblinking and otherworldly and intimidating. "Is there a problem with this? I've been led to believe from others that the Ascendants would no longer be as passive as I originally believed them to be." |
