I WISH YOU COULD SEE THE WICKED TRUTH
CAUGHT UP IN A RUSH, IT'S KILLING YOU
The lioness tapped her claws against the cobblestone, looking up at the twilight sky. She watched as the sunlight died in the air, leaving the only light in the jungle coming from the various torches lit around each temple. Her own pyramid, illuminated behind her, threw enough light onto the space for her to see the whites of her members’ eyes. When the brightest of the stars joined the moon in the sky, she supposed it was time to begin.

“First off, let’s welcome Leander into the fold. Make sure he settles in, Pittian style,” she announced, fire flickering around her neck. With a lash of her tail, she added, “Cosette has also gone missing… again. Thus, she’s demoted.” The serval’s continuous appearance and disappearances started to grate on the ardent’s patience; she wouldn’t be as lenient as Stryker, handing the former erudite her position back the moment the finicky creature returned.

But she had far more important matters to attend to than one wayward member. “As for news this week, we’ve successfully concentrated our efforts on the Rosebloods – and, besides one dead body, they took each strike lying down,” Ninazu stated with a dismissive wave of her paw. “Let’s keep up the violence. If they’re laying in wait for a strike… well, why give them the chance? Keep up the excellent work.” The filthily effective members of her followers actually managed to impress her.

Rhiannon organized a supply gathering session, scuttle over there if you haven’t had any interesting ideas of your own in our conflict. Rhiannon and I burned religious effigies of the Roseblood’s gods, while Lucky poisoned their water supply. And even one of our slaves managed to poison their soil. All of you – Rhiannon, Lucky, and even Silus – keep up the good work,” the lioness announced, a slight grin appearing on her muzzle for a moment.

“That brings me to Silus himself. As a slave, he showed initiative; with his master abandoning her rank, yet again... I see no point in not accepting him as a freed member. So, everyone. Give him ideas for what he can do to earn his place here,” she spoke, looking for the man himself in particular in the crowd. Silus, tell me what your freedom is worth. Unless you'd rather remain a slave?” Ninazu rewarded intelligence, cunning, and loyalty; thus far he proved to contain a few of those traits.

recap:
- Welcome to [member=3183]LEANDER[/member]
- Cosette has stepped down oocly
- Rosebloods haven’t retaliated much, but members are encouraged to stay on their toes – and keep wrecking havoc.
- [member=3121]silus.[/member] is no longer a slave, so long as he proves himself

Lucky arrived in a museless post, taking a seat and gazing over at Ninazu as she began her announcements. It was mostly just briefing newcomers and the whole Rosebloods situation, nothing he had not already been informed about.

However, the one thing that caught his attention was the freeing of one of the slaves. He cast a glance in the direction of Silus, not saying a word but wondering what he would do to earn his freedom.

[glow=#000,2,300]☣ —[/glow] Arriving promptly behind Lucky, the lion gave a quick look around with weary eyes. Underneath his cocky facade troubling times have hit. Nevertheless Stryker had to force himself to attend meeting and do his rounds per orders of Ninazu, no matter how much he despised the likes of them. Usually he enjoyed finding something to do, but right now was not the best of times.
