[div style="width: 480px; height: auto; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; font-size: 9pt; line-height: 13px;"]Absentmindly she had ventured away from the riverside village gaze of darkness shifting across the vast desert that laid before her. The ifrit was calm, the heat nary a problem for her and unfelt as she walked along the endless sands that marred these lands. There was an empty feeling here, a dreaded feeling that pulsed through her body and yet she found that she didn’t care. Wherever she was going there was a purpose to it and she would find her way back to that place that felt right. But for now she was here and she was marginally curious. On the horizon came the image of a jungle and with each step it became closer and closer till the shade spread over her back. Her gaze wandered over the strange placement of a desert in a jungle, curious of what it hid before she pressed on. The sounds of echoing pawsteps made her wary although she got the sense before that this place belonged to someone but to who she didn’t know. Soft smoke trailed from the heated creature’s maw and her eyes glimmered with the promise of destruction as she peered forth into the area that sported pyramids yet she moved no further than that, knowing someone would find her. For a moist jungle and a dry desert (what an odd pairing), the sight of flames was a rarity. Perhaps it was karma for The Typhoon. Stryker still wanted to investigate the strange occurrence nevertheless. With narrowed eyes and his ears standing alert, he headed into the underbrush and began to follow the scent trail of the burning ashes. As he grew closer, his paws lightly treaded against the grassy floor. In the distance he spotted a dark maned wolf wandering the territory aimlessly, seemingly with no intent. She paused momentarily. Did she hear him? For a moment he considered staying within the shadows. Eventually, he decided to reveal himself. From the bushes, he emerged. Neon hues remained narrow as he intensely looked her up and down. "I don't believe you're supposed to be here, sweetheart," came his casual remark. "May I have your name and perhaps why you're here before I have to escort you away?" |
