Every time a child appeared at their border, without a parent accompanying them, Bucky felt some pain in his heart. Bucky knew what it's like to loose your parents at a young age, and that it's anything but easy to be on your own. Bucky knew he lost his parents due to his mistake, but others have had it far more difficult than him. At times, being left in dread curiosity of what happened to their parents is worse than learning the truth. The curiosity can eat at you, make you think of horrible scenarios that you can only hope isn't true. And when he silently made his way over, following in after Steve, those thoughts ran through his skull.
