LUCKY SHOT — p, goldenluxury - MYNTHE - 12-21-2018 All she could think about was the treatment of the Pitt, how it was so different from how the Typhoon was treating her. She was used to not being allowed to eat whenever, only small portions of prey that now led up to the effect of her thin and starved frame, but here she was allowed to hunt and eat whenever. Then was the lack of slaveowners. Mynthe was completely used to being bossed around, having someone to tell her what to do at all times of the day, but it seemed as though here everyone was equal and that would be no longer a thing for her. Still, even knowing this she was still weary and every step she took was hesitant and long before taking another. Commonly she would even look over her shoulder in an act of distrust, paranoia contaminating the very beings of her head. She could feel the fears of having someone sneak up behind her, that fear constantly in her heart.
Mynthe was walking down the shoreline, her paws pressing within the sand as her eyes darted from side to side. In her jaws held a wooden tikki, once she had stolen not too long ago. While she did feel guilty half the time for stealing things from innocent people, she couldn't control nor resist her urges. She didn't want to steal, no, she needed to steal. Thankfully however, she was able to resist enough to only steal meaningless items, items that the owner wouldn't care about parting with. She had found this tikki on the beach outside one of the beach houses, just sitting there and begging to be stolen. So, she took it and took off in the dead of night. She had no house to call her own yet, all the houses too cramped for her to stay in. As such, she stayed within the trees of the small jungle, sleeping in them. She even had one specifically marked that she thought was a lot more comfy than the rest of them. Her paws began to lead her off the bay and into the jungle as to which her eyes darted around alarmingly before she continued on her way through. Her jaws tightened around the wooden tikki as she picked up her pace, a few moments passing and her finding the tree she had marked. Instantly her paws got to work, digging into the ground and dirt beneath the tree, tearing up the defenseless terrain. With the hole, Mynthe dropped the tikki in and began to close it back up, the girl taking a step back and giving a drained sigh. Already she could feel a bit of guilt seeping in but she chose to try and ignore it, turning away from the buried tikki and beginning to make her way back to the shoreline in hopes of finding something else that she could steal. Her paws guided her along the shoreline, ears up for any sounds in blatant alarm. It would take her a while to warm up to the Typhoon and realize that it wasn't like the Pitt, but for now she would stay on edge. She knew that one person here, Goldenluxury, had formerly been a slave in the Pitt as well. While it did feel good to not be alone in a situation like that, she still couldn't help the harsh feelings of mistrust built inside her. [glow=black,2,300]— TAGS —[/glow]
Re: LUCKY SHOT — p, goldenluxury - bubblegum - 12-23-2018 Re: LUCKY SHOT — p, goldenluxury - MYNTHE - 12-24-2018 Her eyes were strained to the ocean as she was lost in thought, the water brushing up against her paws with each wave that entered the shore. Her guard had been let down for a few moments and in those few moments it was enough for someone to sneak up behind her. The sounds of pawsteps completely went above her head until finally the voice spoke out, her eyes widening and in and instant she was on her guard again. The Pitt had left her with so much paranoia and distrust that she even forgot sometimes that she was free and that no one would hurt her here, often thinking as though she was still a slave in the Pitt under his command. Under Snapdragon's command.
Mynthe whirled around to face her supposed attacker, claws sliding from their guarded sheaths with her lips churned up in a snarl. She was already ready to leap, muscles bunched up to make her jump, until she saw the slightly familiar face of Goldenluxury. For a moment her bewildered eyes took in the sight to make sure she was actually seeing Goldenluxury. Within seconds she felt a lot calmer though still on edge, suspicion lacing her movements as she eyed the bengal Captain, keeping her guard up. Whether or not she was in the Pitt anymore didn't concern her. As far as she was aware, anyone could be a bad person and anyone could try to hurt her. In her mind, as nice as she seemed, Goldenluxury was not above this and Mynthe would watch her closely. For a few moments the thylacine said nothing, her eyes looking over the feline. It was as obvious as day that she was in pain and it made Mynthe wonder why she would even be outside in this condition. The first thing that came to mind however was Goldenluxury being sent to try and kill her, that paranoia instilling itself back inside her mind. Her calmer eyes turned into narrowed ones as she peered up at the woman. She would allow her to speak for now, but was reluctant to stay any longer than she had to. The questions the Captain gave out registered in her mind slowly, Mynthe taking time to dissect each word for some possible hidden meaning, doing this also for the tone of her voice. Finally when the silence had prevailed long enough, she spoke out a few words. "Am fine." She grumbled out, accent overtaking. She kept her eyes trained on the body of Goldenluxury. Her response was short and straight to the point, her head turning to look over towards the forest occasionally in an effort to try and escape from the conversation. Another thought then entered her mind as to if she had found out about her stealing the tikki and was coming back to take it from her. The thought made her less paranoid but rather enraged, angry at the fact that someone would try to take something back from her. It was hers to find, it belonged to her now. Though she knew she couldn't be certain of this, so the marsupial would wait for now to see if this was truly her motive. Like Goldenluxury, her time in the Pitt gave long-lasting effects to her. She had developed a overwhelming sense of mistrust and fear, claustrophobia due to always being in enclosed spaces, even the deep scar on her back right after her shoulders. The Pitt was no home to Mynthe and never would she yearn to go back. At first when she spoke the first few words of her last sentence, confusion could be seen as her expression, that was until she finished the sentence as to which she understood what the Captain was talking about. For a moment she allowed silence to live on once again before she finally spoke back in response. "Am better here, more comfortable here." She spoke in response, voice holding a tone that was a bit annoyed. "Already can tell better than Pitt. Will adjust." With this sentence her annoyance had faded as a sigh parted her lips. She was still weary about the Captain, but she was slowly starting to calm down a bit and realize that she was not in any danger. [glow=black,2,300]— TAGS —[/glow]
