would this be wanted? - tikki - 12-18-2018

Okay, I selected Staff as the prefix to this, simply because I feel like, overall, this would be a staff decision on whether or not I would make it due to the topic, however, other people are free to comment about it as well.

trigger warning for who it could concern: Internet abuse type stuff, "grooming" stuff, etc.

Anyway, as I'm sure a majority of the members on the site are under 18, I was curious as to if it would be wanted for myself ( or someone else/someone higher up/a group of people ) to make a guide-type thing for internet safety. With the internet growing, I've been seeing a slight rise in videos and posts being made on other sites, talking about grooming techniques other people use in order to get younger children to do things they shouldn't, so I didn't know if it would potentially put people at ease ( parents, older siblings, etc. ) if there was a thread expressing how to stay safe on the internet, as well as the potential "red flags" that should be noted if someone is speaking to another in a private messaging setting, such as DM's on twitter, tumblr, etc. One of the major things being "don't tell your parents" type stuff

I'm not completely sure how well I am explaining this, but I just want to know if it's wanted

Making an internet safety guide would actually be quite nice. It could provide some ease to our younger members!
