⚝ GET THE PARTY STARTED — JIM - guts - 12-16-2018
Oh boy, he was super lost. No one could tell by looking at him, though, not with the grin on his face and the easy stride in his step. He looked like just any regular passerby, rather than someone who had gotten turned around on their way to their destination. He just had a natural way of getting himself into sticky situations--at least he endured them all with a smile and an easy-going attitude.
But he definitely didn't like all this mud and muck, especially when it stuck to his paws, inching it's way between his toes. He was quite fond of his appearance and he didn't want to look a mess when he got where he was going. "This is totally not radical!" he grumbles under his breath. Shaking himself off, he finally took a moment to stand still and take a serious look at his surroundings, a frown finally etching itself onto his face. This place was definitely not where he was supposed to be. Supposedly this place he had heard of had a beach and everything, and this place he was in, well, it was far from being a beach. ⚝ YOU CAN'T KEEP ME DOWN tags Re: ⚝ GET THE PARTY STARTED — JIM - arcy - 12-16-2018 [div style="margin: 0 auto; width: 65%; font-family: timesnewroman; font-size: 10pt; text-align: justify;"]Jim understood people's dislike of Tanglewood's territory in a bone-deep way. Seriously, fucking genuinely, he got stuck in mud the first time he was there. It was terrible. His fur got absolutely covered every time, too -- right up to the belly. Ugh. He'd fucking pay for the ability to tell Uhura that this was where he lived, now. Just to see the flicker of disgust, and then shock. He wasn't so vain to give up the kindness of the Tanglers just so he wouldn't get dirty. "Who the hell says radical anymore?" Radical was basically nonexistent by the twenty-third century -- but it did exist in certain circles, just like how Bones still said 'blue blazes' sometimes. Of course, he expects it more here, but seriously, what the fuck. ... Despite this, it's mostly amusing to the wolfdog. A flicker of an amused grin as he approaches the trespasser. Lucky they're not in a trap. Or caught by an alligator. Which are part of the reason Jim patrols so frequently -- he worries more for the poor lost folks than anything else. The canine grins. "You lost or somethin'?" He asks, trying to gently prod the other with a muddy paw. Just on the leg, though. Raising his leg higher would .. probably lead to him falling over. Whoops. Rodney lifts his head at the voice, brow quirking at his comment. His judgement of his vocabulary wasn't very radical, either, but he didn't say anything out loud. Instead he pretends like he didn't hear him, sheepishly nodding at his question. "A little bit. I'm guessing you know where we are, my dude?" truthfully, he was eager to get out of this swamp. It would be hard to see on his dark fur, but he still didn't want to take any risks. He didn't want it to dry and become uncomfortable, either.

Like he did with Bones when he said some obscure phrase. .. Of course, not exactly, and it's not like anyone else would recognize it for what it was. So .. That's fair. "Oh, no, I just wanted to bond as fellow lost travelers," Jim says, grinning wide to prove his .. sarcasm? Joke? Either way. Well, nobody wanted to be lost in a dangerous swampland. Seriously, the mud was annoying as all hell and Jim lived here. "This is Tanglewood, also known as radiated mud land. Where are you headed to?" When he said he shouldn't mention the radiation thing, he was lying. Ah, what symbolism that his next death after his death by radiation landed him in a mildly radiated place. .. But, well, they were nice, and that's all that really mattered. //i dont know how to change the tune of this interaction im so sorry -- [glow=black,2,300]— ✰ —[/glow]
