as of late, ariside's luck had been absolutely lackluster. like, completely. she may have gotten lucky twice but both were one-night stands.
and today? today was the shit on the pie. ymir had been with her for one night of fun, and her emotions were all over the place now. she wanted a simple, long-term relationship. she was tired of feeling used after every potentially romantic encounter. they always walked away and pretended like it never happened. she was tired of this feeling.
so now, she was outside of her forge with the sun beginning to dip towards the horizon. she gave a tired breath, looking around at her creation. she had set up a few jugs of the liquor she had been given by a friend in the rosebloods, a few jugs of orange juice for the younger ones and the critters that didnt feel like drinking any alcohol. she knew she was going to be wasted before the sun even set.
clearing her throat, she went about setting up some wires and jars with fireflies, most hibernating yet. she had cleaned up the area for safe enjoyment of her peers, a party before Christmas got under way. a last "screw it all" to the rough hand they'd been thrown with the flood and every other hard moment.

That was a surefire way to draw a crowd; or at least one tall ass unicorn. Leigh had always been a sucker for the combination of the two. Plus, who could possibly turn down a party? Not him. Parties were great for unwinding and just going all out. If he did something stupid he could just blame it on the alcohol anyways.
Leigh arrived not too long ago, having been drawn in by the "pretty lights" and watched Ariside for a few moments before wanering over to the girl. "Nice setup." he complimented, offering a warm lazy smile. "Hope I'm not interrupting anything." he added quickly, unsure if this had been intended to be a private affair or not.

a pleasee noise fell from the woman's lips, tail swaying behind her as she turned her eyes to leigh. giving an easy smile she chuckled, "I vould hobe zat it looks vell. I can only hobe zat zee fireflies vake up on time." she answered in turn, licking her lips.
turning her gaze away, she gave a sigh, shaking her head to indicate that no, he wasn't. "nein, combany is vell abreciated. I vould rather not drink py myzelf tonight." she hummed, the german tigress moving to start waking up the bugs as the sun dove below the edge of the horizon. turning back around she gave a smile, offering an earthen mug and a jug of liquor.
-- I would hope that it looks well. I can only hope that the fireflies wake up on time.
-- No, company is well appreciated. I would rather not drink by myself tonight.
(I'm piloting if I should write her with an accent)
