SUMMER SKIN / sailing - bubblegum - 12-13-2018

Re: SUMMER SKIN / sailing - pallid-i - 12-13-2018

"We sail to a world of the unknown.. Doomed to wander like lost souls." He hummed as he wearily his way over over, coughing up maggots. Skeleton wasn't fond of water, if he was completely honest. The water just scared him, and how deep it could get. He could easily get dragged down under.. to never return. To never say goodbye, or even die peacefully. The thought made him shudder, but he was also shuddering because of the pain in his belly. He sat on his haunches and huffed, scrunching up his nose. "I suppose I'll sail with you."

The ocean was such a large component of every Typhooner's life that Pip was surprised they hadn't done this before. He wasn't certain about going far out into the ocean, but it might be nice to try it, right? Plus, if anyone had issues, or were injured somehow, it would be prudent for him to come along. Goldie could help, but he carried around quite a few things in his satchel by now. If only he knew something in the bag that could help the ghoulish creature, whose illness involved coughing up maggots, and Pip was convinced that meant a rotting of something internal; given the many gaps in his skin and flesh, it would have been easy for the larvae to find dead tissue to feed on. But he'd never encountered a problem like that in his textbooks.

If he had an adverse reaction to sailing, Pip wasn't certain he could help, but he'd certainly try.

"I don't know how much help I'll be," the young canine murmured, clambering carefully into the boat with Goldie. He didn't know how any of it worked, but then- she was going to teach them, wasn't she? She was probably more aware of what to do than Pip was. So long as someone knew what they were doing.

[div style="width: 527px; line-height: 1.4; text-align: justify; font-family: palatino; font-size: 11px;"][align=center]— blackbird singing in the dead of night, take these broken wings and learn to fly —
The open sea, salt in the wind... The gentle sway as wood rocked beneath tiny paws.  The constant murmur of voices and clatter of instruments every day.  Oft days passed where thoughts of confusion and regret took over, the urge to ask why her father had decided to say goodbye to his crew.  Gave up life on the sea to join a whole new band of pirates.  Moons had passed and passed since then.  The memories began to fade, but she still held onto them everytime her paws grazed over the wooden floors of the Tempest.

Light crease of brow and soft exhale... The tiny feline made her way towards the shore.  Spotted ears perked lightly, following the sounds of each rocking vessel.  She choose a small one, stepping onto the sailboat with comfort.  Almost unconsciously, she tugged on her connection to [member=1792]ikaia[/member] who, like herself and her father, had arrived to the Typhoon by sea.  He knew how to sail.

A sense of peace rested in the child, at ease above the waves.  Her paws shifted beneath her, restless.  Pale hues flickered, meager attempts of patience as she sat, tail curling neatly around her small form.  Useless eyes.
