walking on winter snow || GINGERBREAD HOUSES - Stryker - 12-11-2018

[glow=#000,2,300]☣ —[/glow] Stryker was adamant of finding something to do while the festering pain of Yes Man's death writhed inside him. Weekly tasks, as per usual, happened to be his perfect getaway. The lion still had a few piled up on his mental radar, such as Ninazu's fantastic violence suggestion, but decided to settle for something more light hearted and 'in the mood'. After all, it was winter. Despite being in the jungle, which presumably didn't have snow, it seemed like a nice event. The holidays were around the corner too... Also who wanted to actually make gingerbread houses in the middle of the summer? The frosting would grow soggy! The chocolate would get all on his white pelt! (Let's ignore the fact that it would literally poison them if they ate that...) It'd be utter chaos.

A table with gingerbread walls and other assorted candy was laid out nicely for others to grab. From liquorice to the finest mints, there were plenty of decoration options. Even the frosting was different colors. The ardent didn't necessarily care if they wanted a snack instead of decorating either, but those who wished to participate in this event would have his full attention. Being alone to his thoughts wasn't the smartest option right now. Preparations like these made him feel at ease.

With a dollop of cream on his claw, the lion got to work on his own masterpiece. First came sticking the walls together... Precision and patience were fine virtues of his and he happened to successfully finish on the base walls of his house in no time. That was until his large paw smacked it by accident and it happened to topple over. Attempt two coming up!

Re: walking on winter snow || GINGERBREAD HOUSES - RHIANNON - 12-11-2018

―――― Gingerbread houses. She could recall perhaps one time, when she was young, that she had made one with her family. Back when she could see, that was. While her vision had gone fairly early into her childhood, and she had spent much of her life learning to navigate without the sight and the depth perception that others relied on, she could still sometimes remember digging deep into her memories. It was hard to remember what anything looked like anymore; she didn't know what she looked like, nor what any of her clanmates looked like, nor what her own mother looked like anymore. Yet, sometimes she would try, to think of what those tiny little gingerbread houses had looked like, or what her favorite blanket had looked like. She knew the colors that had been donned upon it, yet the actual shades had now left her memories.

Yet she could not forget the smell of the sweet sugar or the gingerbread from her memories. It was the first thing that had drawn her forth, her paws carefully settling upon the ground, low and slow as her bracers on her wrists served as a means of finer control, stopping her paws from extending too far forward and hastening her step too wide, an idle reminder to keep her center of gravity lower. The closer she got, the more the scent of Stryker became apparent, making the woman briefly have a pause before she ignored the lingering thoughts of her head and continued forward. She would not ask for help in putting it together, but she had a feeling that any house she attempted to make would be 'interesting' in character. It didn't stop her however, slowly moving herself forward until her shoulder brushed against the table, her paws slowly moving then to get a feel for what was around the table; some bowls, some of the gingerbread pieces, and bags of frosting. With her brows furrowing softly, she took up a square of gingerbread, feeling its edges carefully to try and determine what peice it was before taking up the bag of frosting in her other hand, doing her best job to start gluing down the main foundation.

What?

Stryker and Rhiannon had their big ol' paws smacking up against these brown things with white stuff and more and he was so completely befuddled. "What're y'all doin'? Why you putting them things up against each other?" it smelled nice, so he could only assume it was a food of some kind, but they weren't eating much of it and it weirded him out. Were they playing with their food? He never did that. Maybe he'd kick at his meat sometimes and listen to his belly growl, but he'd gulp it down right after, just so he could shut himself up. His brows furrowed and he moved forward to lick some of the green frosting off of the table just to make sure.

It was sweet and sugary. It was unlike anything he'd ever tasted before!

"Can I eat one of these things, mister? It's so niceee."
