☼ HELLO HELLO — KADE - guts - 12-05-2018 Ymir was bored.
She didn't have much free time these days, but today, most everything was being done already. There was a clean-up crew, a group working on rebuilding, and pretty much everything else. It was nice to see everyone pitching in, she guessed. Still, they could have at least left room for her. But a small part of her was glad for the time to herself. All the work was starting to put a strain on her body, aches resounding in her muscles. Her paws sunk into the sand as she walked, aimlessly walking along the shore, the sound of the waves coming in and out in her ears. The salty breeze actually felt nice, even with the annoying calls of seagulls. She couldn't look at them quite the same after the Pitt's attack, though. At times she almost felt like she needed to duck out of the way when one flew overhead. Nevertheless she continued on, enjoying the peace after the storm. the wolf walking down the coast drew the tigress' attention, her cobalt blues glued to the wolf in a curiosity. she enjoyed watching others, even if it might seem a little confusing. the blacksmith would give a gentle sigh, shaking herself out.
she got to her paws, looking back at her hidden forge with an aire of satisfaction. so far, her group of cleaners had moved the heaviest of the debris from the shores and river bank to avoid it being swept out to the sea to join the rest of whatever had reached the waters, in an attempt to avoid polluting a food and water source. coming down the worst of the rocky pathway, she would call out a friendly greeting, voice traveling just far enough to reach the other, she hoped. her voice was rough, almost as rough as a smoker's, but hers was from traumatic damage to her throat and voicebox. "hello." space
Re: ☼ HELLO HELLO — KADE - guts - 12-05-2018 Her eyes lift from the sand in front of her, head turning to face the tigress that greeted her. She hadn't expected to see someone else out here, but she didn't really care. At least not when it was a pretty lady. A smirk on her maw, she took a few steps her way, taking a moment to look her over. She had seen her around before, but had never caught her name.
"Hiya." she replies playfully, tilting her head. "I never seemed to have got your name. I'm Ymir, if you haven't heard already." she vaguely remembered her saying her name during weekly tasks, but it didn't hurt to properly introduce herself. Ymir hardly noticed the harshness of her voice. It was actually kind of attractive, in a gruff kind of way. Deciding to stick around, she settled back on her haunches, wincing slightly at the feel of the sand on her body. Looks like she would be finding sand all over herself for the next few days. humor and warmth lit up the mercenary's gaze, walking over, "well, how about this, ms. ymir, why don't we talk inside rather than outside where the wind is prone to blow around and bother us." enough with saying the least she could.
here, in front of her, was a gorgeous lady, with a bear pelt over her back. she smiled, "I have drinks inside, as well as a warm place to sit. if you come indoors, I'll answer my name in response." she chuckled, black tail sweeping in a friendly and inviting gesture. the scars that decked her coat showed her prowess in battle, if not for the scent of hot iron clinging to her striped pelt, one would think she was a born brawler. space
Re: ☼ HELLO HELLO — KADE - guts - 12-06-2018 She perks up at her offer, glad to be out of the wind and away from all the sand. The name was a bit off-putting, though, as she had never been called 'Ms. Ymir' before. But she sort of liked it, as long as other people didn't pick it up. It'd get annoying, and she'd start to sound like an old maiden. She was fierce, dammit.
"Well, you've got yourself a deal, mysterious lady." her flirting probably needed some practice. Luckily, there seemed to be plenty of time for that now. Getting back onto her paws, she dipped her head to the other female. "Lead the way." she wasn't sure what to expect once they got inside, but surely it wouldn't be bad, at least not in the presence of such attractive company. "character's speech." ariside had to hold back a smirk, flicking her ear and tail. she turned back, leading the way through an easier path to her forge, "forgive the smell if it is too strong. she warned as they got closer.
stepping into the strong and warm building, she gave a relaxed purr, the tigress coming alive, if that was even a thing. this was home to her, the hearth was always warm. she walked deeper into the forge, looking comfortable as soot climbed up her paws gently in clouds. she turned around to face ymir after cleaning a desk of clutter, smiling awkwardly, "sorry, I often get too wrapped up in paperwork and well, other hobbies." she rumbles, leaving the desk open for ymir to settle on, taking a stuffed chair herself, the chair full of her fur as it was. "I believe i promised you a drink and my name, lovely. i have liquor, and i have water. preferences? and my name? well, that's a well-kept secret." there was a lilt of humor buried deep in her voice -- she was enjoying herself for once. space
Re: ☼ HELLO HELLO — KADE - guts - 12-07-2018 She had never been in a forge before, but the warmth from the hearth was definitely welcome in such cold weather. The smell, however, was indeed a bit powerful, but she could deal. It wasn't the worst thing ever. Following her in, puffs of soot in their wake, she smiled smugly as she watched her clear off the desk, simply shrugging her shoulders when she addressed her.
"Hey, I don't judge." Ymir replies before settling in, observing her in her movements. Then she glances around, taking in her new surroundings. It was surprisingly cozy. Then she turns back at her voice, already deciding what she wanted. "Oh, what a hard decision. Liquor, pretty please." she says with a devilish glint in her eyes. Then she puts on a pitiful pout, her lower lip jutting out and quivering just slightly. "Aw, really? You're not even gonna spill it for little ol' me?" she lets out a small 'hmph,' feigning offense. "Well, what else can I call you? I need some sort of name for your pretty face." she adds a wink for extra measure. "character's speech." a smirk crawled over her maw, the tigress looking at ymir with an almost sultry look. of course, she was going to play this game, and she was going to win it.
"your favorite style? I recently met this guy who makes some really hard-ass orange liquor. he gives a lot to me, thinking I can sell it for him here. A fool. I just pay the pretty penny to have it all to myself. This stuff will raise the fur off your spine." she told her as she departed to a hidden cupboard hidden in the floor of the forge under the desk. she pulled out an earthen clay jar, strongly smelling of citrus and limes. she thunked it down onto the desk, digging out some earthen-ware mugs. "its killer with some tea. keeps you up for hours." she said in pride. she smiled as she filled ymir a mug and passed it her way, taking her own to drink from, "if you're lucky enough, the liqour might loosen my tongue enough for you to catch my name. for now though, do call me 'a'." space
Re: ☼ HELLO HELLO — KADE - guts - 12-09-2018 Whatever this visit was going to lead to, she was open to it. She needed a little action, especially in such dull times. But she just shrugs at her question, giving her a smirk of her own. "I don't have much of a preference, as long as it gives me a buzz." she says with a wink. It had been a long time since she had alcohol--hell, she never really had much before, just a half cup or two of wine when her people allowed it.
Ymir watches her rummage around, her anticipation strong. She scoots over slightly, allowing her room to place the jar on the desk's surface, taking in a strong sniff of the smell that wafted from inside. It was pretty nice, and she was eager to see what the drink would taste like. As she poured a cup and passed it to her, she grinned at the challenge the tigress presented, expression smug. "Well, then, challenge accepted, 'a.'" she declared, then takes a long drink from her mug. She wasn't wrong--it had quite the kick to it. But she wasn't gonna back down easily. "character's speech." the tigress gave a wicked smile, taking a drink from her own mug. as soon as the liquid hit her tongue, she drew in the citrus taste and released a hearty purr.
the liqour burning down her gullet felt rather nice if she was to be honest, even if it still managed to steal her breath, this was the best liquor she'd had. she would have to tell Vincent next time that the liquor was really good. she gave ymir a daunting smile, openly willing to play dirty. sighing a little, she would look around her forge and murmur, "it looks so bland in here ... but with you? you make it look far better than anything I could ever do." she smirked, looking at the she-wolf, finding a hidden longing in her chest. space
