YOU SHOULD SEE ME IN A CROWN / joining - Character Graveyard. - 12-02-2018 TEEN IDLE Susie — Female — The Ascendants — Observer The faint smell of blood was being carried on the breeze. It drew the feathered raptor along, lust in her hidden eyes and drool dripping from Susie's mouth. The source of the blood was a dear, the damn thing's neck was broken and it was slowly bleeding out. Whoever left the thing around, was a disgusting asshole. Susie's lips curled back in a hungry manner, revealing yellow-stained teeth. She tore into the skittish creature with ease. In moments, her entire mouth was covered in sanguine liquid. "Hope ya don't mind, pal, about losing your face. No hard feelings, bud, I ain't had a decent meal like you in a long time. Ha." The dinosaur spoke, breaking out into sarcastic laughter. "Now, time to find the damn boss of this hellhole to learn where the hell I am." The large reptile broke out into a run, long tail lashing and she let out a quiet huff. She lowered her large body low to the ground and she grit her teeth, not caring if she was trespassing in the middle of some punk's territory. Susie was known as the delinquent at her school, and she honestly liked the sound of that title. It was a scent the former soldier was horribly familiar with. He was out on his usual run when he caught it in the wind. His body tensed and he couldn't help but think of that terrible day on the Queen Charlotte. Gun powder lingered with blood. What if whoever was hurt was just like Finnis? What if he left them to die because of his fear? He'd already died once. Surely he could do it again. His chest ached but he forced himself to run towards the danger and not away. He did what he was trained to do. What he was told to do. Guilt dug at his heart. "Will you do what they tell you until your death, Aston?" "They'll grant us safety! We'll never have to work another day-" "They'll grant us a grave!" He shoved it down and soon skidded to a stop when he arrived at the scene. He would say, in this new body he felt as though his senses were heightened and he felt he moved a bit faster. That was a very real possibility, he supposed, given the extra legs. That was when he saw the... creature. A... dinosaur. There were theories of such impossible beings. None of them had much weight, just a handful of old bones at the time of his death. Certainly nothing that breathed. His eyes widened and his breath caught briefly until something deeper seemed to kick in. The warning to be surprised by nothing, to think of an escape, to find a way to survive, to find a way to protect, to find a way... He fixed his eyes on the creature, suddenly seeming to harden as his back straightened once again and his jaw set in place. The way he stood at near perfect posture and the air of authority seemed indicative of some sort of old training, something that had to have been ingrained in his very being. A wariness of anything that wasn't an ally. "Who are you?" It was a demand more than a question. Re: YOU SHOULD SEE ME IN A CROWN / joining - Character Graveyard. - 12-03-2018 TEEN IDLE Susie — Female — The Ascendants — Observer A pleased hum escaped the dinosaur's mouth, blood continuing to drip from her teeth. Although the smell of blood was heavy, Susie could tell another creature was on it's way to her location. The feathered raptor lifted her head up, proudly, her yellow eyes blinking underneath the layer of multi-colored feathers that hid them. Upon having her eyes hidden most of the time, the brute female usually relied on her sense of smell. When Clarence had finally arrived at the scene, she let out a mere huff of slight annoyance. "Man, you are one slow bastard. Can't ya walk any faster?" Before the other could get a chance to response, she interrupted. "Don't answer that. Anyway, m'name? Susie. Now it's your turn, and while you're at it, mind telling where the hell we are?" Re: YOU SHOULD SEE ME IN A CROWN / joining - clarence a. - 12-03-2018 [align=center][div style="width: 45%; text-align: justify; font-size: 12pt; letter-spacing: -1px; font-family: times new roman;"]He didn't fail to notice the blood. His stomach turned as he thought of what destruction such a beast could cause. He wondered if this one could really speak. If even these amazing, terrible beings were capable of such intelligence as that he saw in the animals that populated this land. Perhaps this one would just attack him outright. But then it spoke. She spoke. And she didn't sound very old at all. Both intrigued and terrified, he didn't bother responding to her first statement, but then she asked for his name and this location. How unfortunate she'd come across the only person here that had no clue what this place was. Not really, anyway. He'd do his best, though. "My name is Clarence Aston. It's a pleasure to meet you, Susie. This place is called the Ascendants, although I am unable to point it out on a map for you, as I have never heard of such a place occurring on any notable maps in Britain," he answered. He was surprised at how even he kept his own voice in such incredible circumstances. What would Finnis say if he were to tell him he saw a dinosaur? It would be such a wonderful breakthrough for the scientific community. Then again, any credibility to that story would be broken as soon as he mentioned that it, and all the other animals here, including himself, spoke. This was such a strange, fascinating world. He still wasn't sure if he should be more intrigued or confused or terrified. Re: YOU SHOULD SEE ME IN A CROWN / joining - Character Graveyard. - 12-03-2018 TEEN IDLE Susie — Female — The Ascendants — Observer The utahraptor slowly got up, silently studying Clarence. She could hear the male's intrigued but terrified tone. How.. Irksome. She didn't appreciate being treated like she was a freak. A dangerous, blood-thirsty creature that could lash out at any given moment. Yet, the brute only responded to his mixed emotions with a twitch of her tail and a quiet huff. "Huh, the Asscendants. Got it. And I have no need of a map. I'm capable of figuring every damn nook and cranny here." Susie decided to fall into a tranquil silence for a couple of minutes, before she added. "So, Clarence Aston, are ya the only one in this place or are there others? If it's just you here, I might as well skedaddle." Re: YOU SHOULD SEE ME IN A CROWN / joining - ATTICUS - 12-03-2018
―――― Unlike Clarence, Atticus was completely unphased to see this creature at the border. Yes, surely, it was unusual, and perhaps 'Susie' as this one was called was a rough on the exterior, given the blood dripping down her chin, but even this Atticus could ignore as his paws carried him closer, right at Clarence's side as he dipped his head low, "I am Atticus, the Astral Seraph - Leader- of the Ascendants," he would announce himself simply, not daring around the topic. He moved himself slowly to sit back on his haunches, taking a slow breath in for a moment as he considered the creature in front of him. "Do you have intentions to stay, or simply take your piece of prey? If you are to join, you would be considered one of us, and expected to work with others." It was the only warning he would give. He would not tolerate in-clan fighting, not when they had enough to deal with as it were. /mobile sorry ack Re: YOU SHOULD SEE ME IN A CROWN / joining - tikki - 12-04-2018 [align=center][div style="width: 500px; text-align: justify; text-indent: 30px; opacity: 0.60; font-size: 12px; padding-top: 2px;"]Paper didn't care the make of the creature before him, it could be a dragon or a rabbit, but with blood on one's face - and the fact that he could not see the prey from where he stood - Paper could only think the worst as he pad over, ears pricked and head tilting slightly to the side as words reached his mind, making slow sense of them. When he heard the words that Atticus finally spoke, he would simply untilt his head and sit down, tail wrapping around his paws before waiting on her reply. So it was prey that stained her lips? He couldn't blame her for wanting to eat, but she could have tried to stay cleaner. Re: YOU SHOULD SEE ME IN A CROWN / joining - Character Graveyard. - 12-08-2018 TEEN IDLE Susie — Female — The Ascendants — Observer Susie quickly swallowed the rest of the dear she'd been chewing on and she slowly opened her mouth, her tongue lapping away at both sides of her mouth, cleaning the blood. A pleased growl came from the depths of her throat, before she turned her attention to Atticus and Paper, as they had just shown up. Proudly, she lifted her head up high and listened to the Seraph's words. "Eh, I'll stay, and I'll be bringing the dear with me. Now, can ya point me in the direction of your base or whatever you call it?" Hidden eyes would move over to Paper for a brief second, studying him. An irritated feeling arose in her stomach, upon hearing no commentary from him. Quiet people, whoever they might be, pissed her off. Then she returned her gaze to Atticus, awaiting for his answer. |
