i'm heaven in hiding | meeting 11.25 - agathe. - 11-25-2018

[align=center][div style="width: 500px; text-align: justify; font-family: Verdana; font-size: 12px; color;"]"Ascendants, gather!"

Agathe didn't waste any time as she leapt gracefully on top of the platform, expression entirely apathetic despite the worries that had begun to accumulate in her mind following Sybil's fortune. Who is it that you're fighting for? Them. She was fighting for them. Her old home had forsaken her and the Ascendants were all she had left. What did she have to do to show it to the gods above that her heart belonged here, of all places? What grandiose gesture of heroism did she have to display to perhaps convince them that she didn't still entertain thoughts of returning to her previous clan, killing her grandmother, and taking her crown? Shoulders would roll dismissively. It was not the time nor place to think of such things- not when she had a plethora of announcements to go over.

"I've decided that I will be venturing to Tanglewood to discuss a potential alliance. One might be enough, but I have no desire to risk anything when the Typhoon, the Pitt, or even Sunhaven might find it in themselves to attack us. Atticus, I'd like to ask you to accompany me," She began smoothly, once again abandoning that low murmur of a voice in favor of a booming one- the real voice of a leader. "Speaking of the Rosebloods, I was not alerted of any ambassadors to them yet. I cannot implore how important it is that we maintain good relations with our single ally. If you're interested, please step forward and then journey to them as soon as possible. I'm getting impatient."

The tip of her tail would twitch subtly, the only sign of her immediate irritation. She wasn't fond of dropping her responsibilities here and making the trek to the Rosebloods, but if no one else found it in themselves to go, then she knew that she would have to. "Oni has disappeared and has thus been demoted. If he returns, he is free to try to earn his position back. Atbash, I'd like for you to step up to Lunar Lieutenant in his place. Jerseyboy and Sybil, you both are now Starstruck Guardians." She paused only to make sure that she had addressed all the promotions and demotions before nodding, "We've also had quite a few joiners this week. The Ascendants welcomes you." Agathe doubted she sounded truly welcoming, but the sentiment was there, she was just bad at showing it. "As always, I need someone to handle weekly tasks. Anybody up to the challenge?" A golden gaze would scan the crowd lazily, marking faces that she believed would step up to the plate. "And last thing," She added suddenly, the faintest of smiles suddenly appearing upon her face, "We will be having a group event soon. Are you all interested in a great feast? A party under the stars? A masquerade? Share any ideas here and we'll further discuss them later today. Meeting dismissed."

Re: i'm heaven in hiding | meeting 11.25 - ATTICUS - 11-25-2018

▹▹▹▹ //Congrats and welcome everyone!
Mobile so sorry for shortness

Atticus was used to this routine now, gathering at Agathe's call as he abandoned his admittedly unimportant task and brought himself up to the observatory where their leader now spoke. As per Agathe's usual style, and one he could very well appreciate, she got right into it. As his name was mentioned, his gaze lifted up higher to meet Agathe's eye, his head dipping in a nod of understanding at the task given. Alliances were no small thing, and he would be honored to join along with her; but given this was the start of the meeting, he would not take to vocalizing that acknowledgment verbally. It was true the Ambassador program hadn't really dug its heels in as much as he would have hoped, but he hoped the coming week would see improvement to it. As for the others, he was glad to hear of the promotions. Their clan had done well recently, and Atbash had become a familar face around here. Jersey and Sybil, too, though perhaps a little more quiet literally, or perhaps not so if you counted Jersey's rather outgoing nature, were welcome members. Speaking of members, they had quite a few joiners this week, each of which he had thankfully some familiarity with.

As for the last thing, a clan event, he took a slight breath in before he spoke up, throwing in his idle two cents. "A masquerade would be a good idea. If this alliance goes through, we can invite them as well."

Re: i'm heaven in hiding | meeting 11.25 - sybil. - 11-25-2018

[align=center][div style=" background-color: transparent; border: 0px solid black; width: 55%; min-height: 9px; font-family:; line-height: 110%; text-align: justify; padding: 20px"]It was Agathe's call that pulled Sybil from the recesses of her room, from the shadows and whispering voices, from what felt like faux-safety. Everyone within the Ascendants seemed to be at full capacity at all times - it seemed like everyone never slowed down. The harsh lights of the Observatory, the endless chatter, the constant movement... It was overwhelming to someone who had only ever moved and lived in tranquil silence. Half of her wished to remain in her hideaway, but as always Agathe seemed to draw her nearer, whether Sybil liked it or not.

The soothsayer sat at the back of the growing crowd as an apathetic look crisscrossed her obsidian features. She had never been a fan of these things, and it seemed her distaste of organized meetings followed her even here. The black panther settled in for what she assumed would be a lengthy sermon. Lucky for her, Agathe was not as long-winded as the elders of her tribe.

The wildcat listened as Agathe dealt news of upcoming things, and Sybil found herself holding her breath as visions of the prophecy she had given Ag drifted through her mind. The vision she had received from the gods contained so much information that she couldn't be sure if it was directed at this journey or not, but something about it presented a bad vibe. Sybil opened her mouth to speak but closed it again. Perhaps she was overthinking. Agathe could handle herself, and she would be accompanied by Atticus, who seemed equally able to hold his own. Why was she worried anyway? The lives of these people were trivial, she had to remind herself. This stay was only temporary...

Sy remained silent as the meeting progress. Ambassadors. That was interesting, and if no one volunteered, she might. Her bedside table manners weren't the best, so she would allow someone else the opportunity beforehand. A promotion too. Well, wasn't that interesting? The oracle simply nodded in acknowledgement but made no move to thank her leader - after all, she hadn't requested this position... The customs here were odd... Sybil wasn't quite sure what weekly tasks were, so she remained quiet. At the mention of a group event, her fictional brows knitted together. Too many individuals in one place.

"Blue blood runs red," Sybil sent the telepathic message to Agathe; a reminder. And without waiting for a response, padded off.

Re: i'm heaven in hiding | meeting 11.25 - JERSEYBOY - 11-25-2018

JERSEY
BOY
Oh, a meeting. Not that the New Jerseyan really cared for them; he hadn't pledged allegiance to any group in months. Now that he thought about it, had he ever? He was a true wanderer at heart with no strings attached, nothing tying him down to one place. That was the beauty of travel. He was only here because Sunhaven's town had flooded over, but so far, the people here were proving to be alright. Not bad, not extraordinary. They certainly were not as vibrant and engaging as Sunhaven.

He hadn't taken a seat. He only listened in to hear the juicy stuff, but other than that, he couldn't give less of a crap about what was said at these things. Not his problem.

Then, he heard his own name and perked his ears in surprise. "A promotion, huh?" Jerseyboy mused. A Starstruck Guardian sure sounded fancy, perhaps more fancier than a Hearthkeeper, but he had to speak up before Agathe got the wrong idea, "I'm flattered, really." He twitched his tail and continued, "But I ain't lookin' for responsibilities. Sorry t' disappoint." But, as always, he was not truly sorry. There were plenty of other people — loyal members — that deserved a promotion over him. Hell, he wasn't even a full member of this place. He was technically only visiting, and for however long he hadn't determined as of yet.

Not really paying any mind to anything else, the tuxedo tom turned around and headed off to find something else to do.

Re: i'm heaven in hiding | meeting 11.25 - ATBASH CIPHER. - 11-25-2018

ATBASH CIPHER
somebody make me alive,
and shatter me !
At Agathe's call, Atbash slowly made her way towards the meeting area. Her pawsteps were careful as she navigated along, still getting used to the Observatory and its surroundings. Upon arriving, the savannah took a seat next to Sybil and looked up at Agathe, listening to the female's words. The mention of a potential alliance with Tanglewood made her ears prick and she called out, "A-actually, Agathe, do you mind if I tag along?" It would be a chance to maybe see her brother, since she didn't see him last time. Of course, Atbash took note of her promotion and dipped her head in thanks - though she was surprised to hear of the promotion. Hadn't she just been promoted to a Starstruck Guardian? Maybe it was a good thing that she was promoted again.

Re: i'm heaven in hiding | meeting 11.25 - Grimm - 11-25-2018

[align=center][div style="max-width: 420px; line-height:120%; font-family: arial; font-size: 8.5pt; text-align: justify; margin-bottom:5px"]Familiar the core of it all, found about the base strands plucking at idle touch of memory. Time had there been when he had been beneath the beck and call of others though few were risen above the rest, given no higher power for equal were they for a time, drawn together beneath a God none understood nor cared to speak of. Disoriented and difficult to take in the echoing voices contained within the wide room of marble, stain about it leaving what once held about it the sheen of white a rusty coating, quiet the murmur of voices parting lips only to find a higher register. Within the voice of their own lord they spoke, conversed amongst each other though the air was touched with it, broken beneath syllables tailing along tongue, touching upon curl of a frown.

It mattered not the similarities between, quiet the aching pulse of heart as it sought something more, place left behind for actions had been performed within the heat of the moment, touch of it curling and tainting, refusing to move until he was but a puppet dancing upon strings. No importance within the lurch of heart, lodging within the constriction of throat as weight shifted, extension of limb before next was moving, pace set slow.

Difficult to judge how the twist of pale toned lips, how they drew down at the corners and the twist of fictitious brow scrunched the fabric adorning gold toned features, may speak for soft was the sound, gentle the wordless tune arising though no true song was it. Comfort the broken notes, brief their raise before within the loose structure of a sigh they faded into nothing more then even breath. Half hearted attempt to listen, dip of head until chin found chest, though sudden was the jerk of it. “I-I'll go.” Touch of surprise, brief the flicker of it, for unexpected was such offer. Eimi knew little of this place, odd as it had proven itself to be though wrapped within a gentle warmth – home almost, if he may so wish to make it such a thing – yet difficult was it to break the want in heart, touching upon its fine strands.

Re: i'm heaven in hiding | meeting 11.25 - Warringkingdoms - 11-27-2018

[font=trebuchet ms]Setting all the strife from the past month aside, it was nice to be... well, not home per se, but in a stable environment once more. Adelaine and Miyuki were both safe and recovering, food and herbs were easy to find, and there was a roof over their heads once again. In comparison to the way things had been previously, this was definitely an improvement.

Focusing on the good, rather than the bad, would be how she survived. Once you got caught up in the horrors of the past, there was no escape.

Watching Agathe go up and speak, Rin silently absorbed all of the news. Her method of conducting meetings was... unusual, but certainly straight to the point, and effective enough. The fact that they were short on allies was concerning, but Agathe seemed to have a plan to fix it. There was, of course, weekly tasks and events- neither of which she thought she had the energy for, but if no one else volunteered, she would be available. Might as well make herself useful.

Once Agathe finished, Rin nodded. "Thank you."

PAPERCROWN
15 MOONS — WEARS A BANDANNA — INSOMNIAC
He did not know that there were times when all would gather around and listen to one person speak, but it was a welcome thing to see, so that he could keep up with what was going on. As he would likely be for most of his life, Paper was late to the meeting, though it seemed as though he came it at the right time, having seen everyone still there and being able to catch what was being said on his way there. He didn't get officially called out or anything, but it was nice to know that Agathe was keeping track that there were joiners. Of course, she was the first one to come up to him when he had joined, but with all the tasks she had to handle, it was likely easy to forget who was here and who was not. "I can hold the tasks, if wanted. Or go to the Rosebloods. Whichever." He would offer out in response to things that needed to be done, having not heard anyone say that they could do them themselves. Hell, he could do both if none else did it.
