IN THE WINDOW - open; confession - rhosmari - 11-23-2018 [glow=#000,1,400]FEELING, LIKE I'M TOUCHING THE CEILING — 。+゚.[/glow]
[div style="width: 480px; height: auto; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; font-size: 9pt; line-height: 13px;"]She had long since given up on one of the conversations she was going to have with one of Pincher’s kids. She’d wanted to tell her about it and ask for advice because she knew that they were close with one another or at least that was what she had previously thought. But she had chickened out in the end and it made her look like such a complete fool. Even now as she paced in the stone hut of her temporary shelter she was afraid of what the others would think. The Typhoon wasn’t known to be the kindest group around and frankly they were waging a fight against the Pitt and perhaps from what rumors had sparked one with the Rosebloods as well. It was troubling times but she would back the Typhoon if negotiations and talk could not work first. The Pitt she would never talk with especially not after their most recent attack of avians and cheap tricks. Still the idea of what she was about to say was wrecking through her and she sighed lightly with a mild amount of frustration. Shaking her head she forced herself to get up from her spot and open the rickety door to the cold outside world. Snow had come late that night and a fresh layer now blanketed the area even as the sun shone brightly. It was perhaps a little past none and the woman trudged through the snow, shoving it out of her way as she dug through the pile of food to pull out a deer corpse. Maybe food would lighten the mood? She was just so damn nervous and her legs jittered from her nerves alone. ”Um...hey everyone I have something tae say. It ain’t nothing real serious but I thought ya all ought tae know.” She began slowly as she paused for a moment and she swallowed hard before closing her eyes. Come on just get it over with. She couldn’t understand why it was so hard and she forced it to move past her tongue. ”I’m in love with Pincher Roux and I-I think he is in love with me too....” Re: IN THE WINDOW - open; confession - guts - 11-24-2018 Love was something she didn't know much about. She was an orphan since she was young, not knowing the love of parents, only the merciless nature of the streets. She stayed in a group of other kids like her, and while she did grow close to a few of them, it didn't last long until she was finally taken in. Even then, what she was shown wasn't love--it was only a blind worship, an adoration born from their own faith. She was just an object to them, like a holy statuette.
Ymir lifts her head at Marina's voice, ears perked forward. Her curiosity was immediately piqued, noticing the uncertain way she was speaking and carrying herself. She didn't know much about her but she knew enough that this was unusual. Nevertheless, she pads closer, wanting to hear what she has to say. If it made her this uneasy, then it must have been juicy. But, alas, it wasn't as interesting as she would have expected. Or it wasn't to her at least. She didn't even really know who this Pincher guy was. She didn't know much about the other clans, anyway. "That's nice, I guess. Who's this lucky Pincher guy?" she asks, sounding somewhat bored. She probably wouldn't be after it was explained to her, though. "character's speech." Re: IN THE WINDOW - open; confession - AUGUST - 11-24-2018 [div style="width:490px; font-family:arial; font-size:9pt; text-align:justify"]Love. August knew what love was, and he knew what it felt like, but perhaps not in the first way that one would think. He had felt love for his mother, as most young children typically did to just as loving parents. She had made him feel safe and protected and warm and everything in between... was that what love felt like? Obviously August would not know what romance felt like, seeing as he was far too young to understand such a concept. So, when Marina had professed her love for "Pincher Roux", sounding about as nervous as ever, the wolf pup managed a blink. What was he to think of this? "Oh, um..." He trailed off, momentarily at a loss for words. He glanced up at Ymir, who had offered her own form of congratulations, and he had followed suit, "Good for you?" That was a good thing, right? So why had Marina sounded so scared to say so? Re: IN THE WINDOW - open; confession - GARRETT - 11-24-2018 [div style="max-width: 500px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 9.5pt; line-height: 1.4;letter-spacing:.1px"]Unlike the others, or at least Ymir, Garrett does know who Pincher is, and maybe why she'd be nervous. It was Pip's dad — he didn't like him. Maybe it was just what he'd heard, or his own desperate desire to stay out of his way, but whenever the dog had seen him when he'd been in The Typhoon, his immediate instinct had been to go stand by Pip instead. It had been safer at the other's side, and even now he misses that familiarity. But slowly, ever so slowly, he's coming to appreciate this place as well. There's no longer an urge to hide himself away. So he joins the small group that snowballs together after Marina's admission. The boy's eyes are a little wide, but there's no obvious judgement in his expression. A little unease, maybe; that's starting to be just who he is as a person. He tentatively sits next to August — the other boy is younger and smaller but still the most familiar in shape — and cocks his head. "So are you guys... together?" He didn't know what the word was for that — his parents had been a pair but they never really talked about terms like dating and marriage and... whatever other gross things adults did. "Do you know Pip?" Re: IN THE WINDOW - open; confession - Dimitri - 11-24-2018

PINCHER?! Dimitri visibility winced as he heard Delta yell. When Atbash had been attacked long ago, they let Delta go to the Typhoon to defend Atbash’s honor. The alter wanted to fight her attacker in a duel of honor. There wasn’t any honor among pirates. They’d learned that quickly- as they all decided to attack Delta and the protecter was forced to retreat. If the clan relationships get too personal- should we leave? Dimitri hummed, stepping back and into the shadows as his alters babbled and he listened. Maybe he’d let them make this decision for him. "Isn’t Pincher.... a bad person?” he didn’t know if that was loud enough for Marina to hear. What if they broke up one day and Pincher decided to kill them all? Maybe we should leave. Does he know?" Nora, deep down, was a bit of a sucker for romance, especially the kind that had happy endings like in fairy tales. Maybe because that was something that never happened, and even as a young child, she knew that. But because she was a young child, her belief in them wasn't quite broken yet. For her, this was a something that everybody should be happy about, and she was. Dimitri's words, though, were a bit worrying to the feline, and she deflated a bit at his question. "Bad guy? Why would he be bad?" "if he doesn't then he's more of an idiot than before." chiming in, the unhelpful kitsune made their way to the announcement - if you could even call it such. wasn't it obvious that the two were absolutely smitten for each other? venus had thought so, when the two groups were battling to keep an alliance alive, that the duo were just too awkward and joyous around each other to not be taken with each other. that, and the time marina had mysteriously returned from the pirate group a day after a raid had ended were some of the finest moments of venus' favourite ship. how excited the solbinder was for it to become a reality. sighing into their twin tails, venus let their sapphire gaze drift to the ground as their head hung low in a realisation of the century. "your kids are going to be so tall, it's not fair." huffing audibly, the kitsune mellowed out at the thought of pincher and marina power children absolutely towering over the small kitsune. life was a cruel mistress. tags Re: IN THE WINDOW - open; confession - REBECCA MACK - 11-26-2018 SUNHAVEN — GOLDENBLOOD — FEMALE — BORDER COLLIE — PLAYED BY KICKSIE The collie bounded up, ears pricked with interest as she heard Marina announce her love. To Bex, announcing something like this to everyone in Sunhaven was a little... odd. It certainly wasn't a move that the secretive collie would make, but hey, she wouldn't question it. Maybe what was personal to Bex wasn't as personal to others. Shrugging at the thought, Bex managed a smile in the leader's direction. "That's great news!" She exclaimed, wagging her tail. She didn't know Pincher, other than knowing that he was the Typhoon's leader, but she hoped that the two of them were happy together. Dimitri's comment on Pincher being a 'bad person' caught Bex off guard a bit, but she ignored it, hoping that Marina wouldn't be too affected by it. The Typhoon were allies after all, so Bex trusted that Pincher was not as bad as Dimitri was suggesting he was. And even if even if he was an enemy, quite honestly, Bex would applaud her for being such a rebel. [div style="width: 480px; height: auto; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; font-size: 9pt; line-height: 13px;"]There were questions and she had expected it though she couldn't say she had all of the answers. For right now she focused on the first question that was given to her. One from Ymir that she could easily answer with lightness to her chest. The other's wouldn't be so easy and she swallowed thickly before she cleared her throat. "Currently Pincher leads the Typhoon. He's their leader still as far as I know." There hadn't been any bad news that she had heard of and even if he stepped down willingly she would still love him all the same. She hoped to the ends of the ocean and back that they could live happily. But she was a bit afraid considering this was her real first romance. The woman lowered her head a bit as she though of her crush she had had on Stellamaris and how she had been absolutely taken by her. There was still a pain that lingered in her heart because of the death of the other woman at the hands of the pitt no less that rattled her. But she could not bring back the dead and Pincher, everything about him made her feel again. Comforted her. He was her haven and she hoped to be his. Her gaze then flicked to August, a small smile pulling against her pale colored lips at his hesitant answer. She merely gave a light nod of her head before she focused on Garrett then as his inquiry. Were they together? A small frown pulled along her muzzle and she gave a small and gentle sigh. "I would think so...umm.." But then again all of this could be one sided and all in her head. That was something she didn't want and she frowned a little before she managed to control her emotions before they ran wild with her. It was no time to start self doubting and she didn't want it to come to that anyway. On the note of a Pip she was rather confused and had to shake her head on that one. "Ah, is this Pip one of his children? I haven't really met all of 'em I don't think. Though I've talked tae Golden often enough." The young girl was very insightful and she appreciated her presence despite her only being a young child. She knew that Pincher had a lot of kids but the idea didn't bother her one bit. If she had to she would attempt to be like a mother to them if they would have her that was. She would never impose herself upon them. But the question of Pincher being a bad guy rose up and she was a little unsure of how to answer. There were always crimes committed and there was always something that would say someone was bad. She didn't know all of Pincher's history as she had not been around as long as the hybrid feline had been so she really couldn't say for sure if he was bad or not. He was good for her that much she knew. "Personally, Pincher isn't a bad guy. He does what he must for the Typhoon as far as I have seen. Just as I would for Sunhaven." To protect them, to aid them and make their lives comfortable so that they may flourish. It was all she tired to do for her home as well and she couldn't see anything else beyond her life in Sunhaven. Perhaps she would grow hold here. But rather he knew or not made her slightly shrug her shoulders as she would hope so. She didn't really hide how she felt and she didn't think she would be able to anyway even if she tired. Her skin heated up though when Venus spoke of kids. Actually talked about kids and she couldn't help but duck her head a bit. Wasn't it a bit too early to talk about children? She wouldn't mind having them but she'd never....well. A chuckle of nervous energy left her throat and she glanced to Bex as she spoke her approval. "Thanks everyone." |
