「 GAME ON : OPEN 」 - AUGUST - 11-23-2018 [div style="width:490px; font-family:arial; font-size:9pt; text-align:justify"]// please wait for [member=1181]REBECCA M.[/member] !! So far, snow was proving to be pretty darn cool! You could jump in it, roll around in it, make snow angels in it, collect snowflakes upon your tongue and eat them. Who knew that a form of solidified water could be so interesting to play with? The wolf pup, now feeling confident enough to walk around in the open, trudged in the powdery snow and sniffed as some of it got flicked up onto his nose. He swiped it away with his tongue and continued to walk around idly, his gaze turned downward as he watched his paws sink down into the stuff. It was cold against his pads; luckily his fur was thick enough to withstand the temperatures. Re: 「 GAME ON : OPEN 」 - REBECCA MACK - 11-24-2018 SUNHAVEN — GOLDENBLOOD — FEMALE — BORDER COLLIE — PLAYED BY KICKSIE It didn't take the collie long to spot the young pup playing with the snow. Bex had just been passing by, but now struck with an idea, she smiled mischievously and lowered herself to the ground, sinking within the snow so she couldn't be seen. She scooped up some of the white, powdery substance in her paws and began to form a snowball. It wasn't the most perfect looking snowball, it was barely even round, but Bex was no perfectionist. She at least made sure to make it small, so that it wouldn't end up hurting the kid. She was just looking for a little painless fun. And what kid wouldn't like a snowball fight? Swiftly, the woman gently tossed her snowball in August's direction, hoping to hit him. She was quick to duck back down into the snow afterwards, trying her best to blend in so that she wouldn't be seen instantly. Leaving the kid in suspense seemed like a much more fun plan, and it would give her some time to form more snowballs in case he decided to fight back. Re: 「 GAME ON : OPEN 」 - STEVE - 11-27-2018 [div style="width: 500px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 9.5pt; line-height: 1.4;letter-spacing:.1px"]Steve didn't share those sentiments. It would be great if he didn't mind it, but he minded it very much, mostly because snow minded him. Autumn and winter in general had special surprises in store for him, although that wasn't to say the other seasons were any less prone to laying him out for weeks with something minor. Not as much now that he was older, but as a kid, he was knocked flat by just about anything. How he survived was thanks to his mom's determination and his own stubbornness, though these days, it was mostly the former, seeing as she wasn't around anymore. If only he could've gotten used to it. Where he'd grown up had been freezing come winter, but he spent most of it inside, underneath a mountain of blankets. Couldn't really do that now, all things considered, so he found warmth where he could, and tried to get whatever he needed to do outside finished as quickly as possible. They didn't need the added problem of a too-skinny weakling getting sick. Still, he did have to go outside. At the moment, he was going to collect some snow to melt, dragging around a small pail, the area between his eyes wrinkled in concentration. That was why he didn't notice the collie with the snowball, seeing only August playing in the snow in his periphery as he shoved more snow into the bucket. His paws burned with the cold, and his small frame shuddered, turning into a full-bodied flinch when something large and white shot by. In startling, he tripped over the pail and knocked his chin on the edge on the way down. Ignoring that bright bit of pain, the feline shoved himself back up quickly, shaking snow from his thin fur. "F-" He cut himself off, exhaling. "Scared by a snowball. That's a new low, Steven." Embarrassing, more like, and, shivering, he glanced over to where it'd come from, but he couldn't see anything. Re: 「 GAME ON : OPEN 」 - AUGUST - 11-27-2018 [div style="width:490px; font-family:arial; font-size:9pt; text-align:justify"]If there was one thing tht August was, it was naive. He still had lots to learn about the world around him, including but not limited to his environment, staying safe, and keeping alert. While he certainly hadn't been attacked by some random creature, as he had come to discover, he was still clueless on what had just happened. August flinched and whipped around, his tail ducking low as well as his cranium and his ears. He glanced over at the powdery snow falling off of his pelt, amber eyes widened in utter surprise. The only other person within close range had been some hairless cat who had tripped over a bucket. Ears still pinned to the back of his head, August questioned, "Wha... Did you throw that at me?" It had to have been him, right? And if so, why? What was the point? |
