Starchild are you listening| joining - Dionysus - 11-17-2018 [member=2039]bai shi.[/member] (hold on response until Bai shi responds) Things in hell and in the mortal realm were completely different on a many a various schemes. At least that was what Astro thought; the canine of sorts had no idea of where they were. More importantly they were shocked that they were able to keep a physical form in this time around, the purplish black canine of what would be a mesh of living space and organic moved carefully feeling the ground underneath their paws. This, all of this was very new to them. They had never seen anything like this in their living days, even spending a silent amount of time right beside his sister Bai-shi. Well as her advisor but nothing more and nothing less, compared to the other ranking officials, he had somewhat a voice even if it was somewhat muted out and just below a whisper and brief squeeze on the shoulder. This one does not exist here in this realm; this one is an odd one. What would others think? Would they try to tear me apart like they did back at home? Would I have to spend another eon healing from injuries so mortal that it nearly leaves me without breath? The mere worrisome thought whorled through his mind, the normal thoughts that came and as it went of course would have driven any sane person insane form the fears and worries, Astro had every reason to fear for he had most of his entire life keeping out of the shadows and avoiding power seeking individuals for his own safety and promote some kind of sanity and not provoke a war within the realm. There was the possibility that his sister was not here, then all things were lost. For she was the general and the highest ranking personnel that could get things done. If word ever got out that she was doing what she was doing, and never wanted the crown in the first place, all hell would break loose. But she was of blood, and she had to do what she was born to do, despite her own objection of passing the crown to someone else. Mainly him, which would have caused an uproar. Now the canine had no idea of where he was, but it would made sense not to venture further with someone to come and assist them, that was the proper thing to do after all. Ask for help for when it was needed. Re: Starchild are you listening| joining - Dionysus - 11-18-2018 The time creature seemed to be startled by the voice, it sounded way to familar. A little to familar for them, the canine looked suprised. As Astro should be, the advisor of sorts frowned slightly a upon seeing what was the now the body of their supposed in techincal terms adoptive sibling, adopted in terms not in relations. " What did you do? How did you go from a dragon body to something so tiny?" the canine asked now settling down and had to squint to make sure he wasn't dreaming or anything. Re: Starchild are you listening| joining - teef - 11-18-2018 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- BAI SHI " my own illusion come to be " --------------------------------------------------------------------------- laughing softly they walked forward to join him, running their tail over his foreleg with a careless flick. "this is easier for the mortals. my dragon body is much too frightening for them to take in, as i realized in my first operation here. how about you, dearest brother?" they mused. sitting at his side they casually leaned their head on his leg, sinking in the familiar scent of his. "I feel like we've been here before. a dream maybe? mmm. is it still in uproar in the afterlife? I search for father, you know, asteri, I'm not just running from my responsibility. before he left, he said something about being summoned by a force he could not deny." they murmured, smoothly moving to sit beneath asteri, head tipping up to sniff his fur before sneezing. "it is painfully strange being this small." they murmured as if an afterthought. Re: Starchild are you listening| joining - | THE VAGABOND | - 11-18-2018 Questions no one can answer -
Vagabond was pretty sure that most things in this world were going to be more painful then when he was a human. At least when he was a human he had a little bit of a pain tolerance when it came to certain things. Such as being shot. In a world like this, it was as if that pain tolerance didn't transfer over, and it would just end up kicking him in the ass. Every time he went out to go do something business related, the male always seemed to come back with some kind of injuries and act like there was nothing wrong. The Hellhound still had no idea how to heal his own injuries and if there were even doctors that existed in this world. Either way, the male didn't believe in the likes of otherworldly powers. Because of all the hell that he had gone through when he was a human, the higher powers were probably going to try and go against him in the end, while there were instances where he would think that they may be on his side for fucking up his life so much. The Hellhound had no reason to believe that there was an afterlife, hence why this was so confusing to him. He now knew that he had died during the heist, and yet instead of coming across a realm that was depicted by so many different people, he drew the short straw and instead was left here. The same came with the rest of his crew, and Vagabond felt remotely responsible when it came to that, as he was the one that had organized the heist a little bit and had been the one to conduct it too. Vagabond didn't know anything about joiners or what happened in the likes of the Rosebloods as he was always out doing something. [sub][W]isker[/sub]The former human was making his way through the desert, and thanks to the black skull mask that he wore on his face, he wasn't capable of acquiring any scents in the area and relied more on his sight instead. The massive hellbeast was one of the largest creatures that existed in this place, and he certainly used that to his advantage. Dried blood plastered to his shoulder, and blood dripped down to the ground from the side of his neck. Everything ached, and there were some portions of his body that hurt that hadn't even been struck. He guessed that's what he deserved for not being as great with skill as he once was. Again, what he would give to have a gun. Vagabond did see something in the distance, and not thinking that he was bleeding that badly, he walked parallel to the group that he approached, not approaching them directly. He recognized Bai Shi, a kid that he had given a burger too because the other was hungry and he thought why not. There was another kid on the border from the looks of it, and this one was a dog or something, he didn't really know and hardly cared what other species they were. "Guessing you finally found someone you know?" Vagabond questioned nonchalantly despite the blood that was dripping from the left side of his neck. It wasn't a fast flow of blood, as the blood had started to clot itself thanks to the journey over. At least he wasn't carrying a corpse around with him, as he wasn't about to show the likes of a corpse to a bunch of kids. He wasn't that fucked up. Re: Starchild are you listening| joining - teef - 11-18-2018 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- BAI SHI " my own illusion come to be " --------------------------------------------------------------------------- bai shi turned at vagabond's voice in surprise, "oh! yes, i've finally managed to find someone that I know. he is my little brother, astéri. oh. are you alright, mister?" they asked as they oh so slowly approached vagabond, naturally wary of others. it would surprise anyone to know of the rage buried in every step of theirs, in every subtle movement. they were full of an unstable rage, not able to be tamed by any means. shaking themselves out they came over, sniffing at his fur with concern. "I know my way with herbs." bai shi murmured, casting a glance back to their brother in humor. Family was hard to come by. Families didn't have to be blood-related, something that he had come to learn when he had joined the gang after the organization that he joined with. Vagabond knew where his family was, and he was going to do everything in his damn power to protect them even at the cost of his life. It was one of the many reasons why he felt so much grief thinking that he had been the one to get everyone killed. That because he wasn't careful enough, despite how deliberate he always was, it still came up with everyone dead in the end and it was all because of him. Vagabond held that guilt over his head, but he refused to show any weakness while he was around groups like these. Vagabond would never think in his right mind that he would become family with the likes of a gang, but fate had a weird path for him that was for sure. Of course, he wouldn't hesitate to punch someone in the face if they got on his nerves or to even threaten to slit their throat in their sleep. They had a weird way of showing that they cared about one another, but they would never let each other die if they could stop it. They would literally tear an entire city from the ground up to look for each other if one of them got captured, which had happened a couple of times. There were some people that tried desperately to get hold of Vagabond himself, having gotten captured only once in his life. He wasn't afraid of getting captured as the captures weren't really capable of getting much done before the crew ruined the little party that they tried to have. Vagabond was glad that the guy had managed to find some of his family, his vivid blue eyes looking toward the canine that was there. [sub][W]isker[/sub]He flicked one of his rounded ears, which always seemed to be in constant motion listening for anything coming toward him. Considering where he just came from there was a chance that he could have been followed without him realizing it. Asteri was the kid's name, and it was certainly a unique one. Probably in another language at least. The 6ft tall hellbeast gave a small nod of his head in greeting. "Hey, kid. Name's Vagabond." The Hellhound introduced himself to the canine. He wondered, was this other kid hungry too? He could easily make food out of thin air now and could provide some lunch if they were hungry. At the fox's question, if he was okay, Vagabond shifted his paws a little bit in the sand. "I'm fine." It was never good for any kid to see blood at such a young age. Well, he wouldn't want a human child to see the wounds that he had at least. Vagabond seemed to move a little bit away from the fox when he started to make his way over, but the other was lighter on the sand than he was and was able to move a lot quicker. The thought of someone touching him to help him out wasn't exactly preferred, and he would like to avoid it as much as possible. His chest stopped moving as he stopped breathing as the other mentioned herbs. The fuck did that mean? Vagabond didn't know any terminology in a world like this. "I don't know what you mean by that. Do you mean drugs?" There were several slang words that could be used to describe certain drugs. That was the last thing he needed right now as it would only hamper what he was doing. Re: Starchild are you listening| joining - teef - 11-19-2018 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- BAI SHI " my own illusion come to be " --------------------------------------------------------------------------- a slight smile darted across their lips, "drugs, you say. well, i am not so skilled in making drugs as putting them to use back home. no, no. there aren't any good anesthetics here to relieve pain or damage to the body. we only have herbs here, literal plants, vagabond." they responded, amusement playing in their voice before they looked back to astéri with a fond look, "I've stitched my baby brother back together enough that I'm decently handled with it." they murmured. gaze turning back to the beast of hell they tilted their head back, "I might look small and defenseless but if I had my other body, and so did he, I think you'd understand. as it is, I scared enough folk the first time I showed off my body." they laughed suddenly, a rare show of emotion for them. as they spoke, curiosity sprang up in their chest, "hey. where did ya go? you smell funny. you really aren't ... used to these terms hey?" they spoke, pawing their nose. they felt some sort of familiarity or closeness with vagabond, perhaps because the other had given them food when they first came to the group. they had no way of knowing that vagabond had been in a human body prior, but intuition could be a scary thing. huffing they tried out a small smile, "I'm little. I cant hurt you, better yet -- why would I want to hurt you? you havent proven yourself as somebody for me to be wary of or to be defensive around. I know you might not be ready to trust, but you gotta get that scrape looked at before it starts getting infected and makes you really weak. my papa died like that, his injuries got bad, at least he came back. I dunno if you will, so you should let me at least give you something for the infection. get it looked at by somebody who has bigger paws than me, they can put better herbs and plants on it. have you never heard of herbal remedies?" their tone went between condescending, to curious and back to a mixture of humor and seriousness. they seemed to know more than their body suggested, their mental age greater than their current physical age. This was the first time that anyone was speaking to him about herbs and that it was this worlds medicine. Instead of actual medicine that he was used back to when he was being human. How the fox was able to talk so casually about the aspects of medicine between the two different worlds was certainly interesting to the Hellhound. It made him think that the other had been human at least once, which meant that they would be in the same boat and that this would make even more sense. If there were other animals that had somehow been turned from humans that would certainly be a shock to him, but it would also be great because it meant that they weren't the only one. The crew had a lot going for them after all, and they were all confused for what they were and didn't necessarily know what to do with themselves either. It also seemed like Bai Shi knew about the actual drugs that he had been talking about. Vagabond had never really been the type to dwell into the drug cartel all that much, but if there was money to be made he wouldn't mind being hired by the likes of them at the end of the day. It would be hard work, but the pay was usually good from those that were trying to keep their drugs to themselves or try and steal it from another cartel. If there was money involved, he was almost willing to do anything. There was no money in this world, and he wasn't sure if this world was technically the same from the world that he was from. There were human structures that were scattered about here and there, but even then he had his doubts that any of this was real. [sub][W]isker[/sub]Vagabond seemed to look at Bai Shi with a little bit of disbelief. Actual leaves were used as medicine here. What time period was he in for fuck's sake? The crazy lion talked about sacrifices and everything, but now the talk of putting herbs, which wasn't drugs, on his wounds sounded a little bit insane. "You've gotta be kidding." The former human would say with a straight face toward the fox. The other's expression didn't change when he spoke. "You actually are serious." Vagabond wasn't exactly sure what to think at this point. The former human seemed to get a little lost when the other talked about different bodies. What was that supposed to mean? He didn't really know and honestly didn't pay attention to what Bai Shi talked about bodies in order to save his own sanity even if it was just a little bit. Bai Shi seemed to be going off, but that was understandable considering that the other was just a kid in Vagabond's eyes at least. The other said that he smelled funny? Vagabond couldn't really tell all things considered as his mask basically blocked out any scents that tried to reach his nose. "Exploring." Vagabond deadpanned where he had been just a couple moments ago. Even if he could answer where he had been, he wouldn't be able to as he didn't exactly know this area. He didn't know what groups were called, and that there were actually other groups in the area. A low sigh escaped his jaws, craning his neck to the side until he heard his neck pop. "Not really no. I doubt an animal knows what a human is so there's no bother to try and explain why I don't know." Vagabond stated calmly. Being a former human meant that he believed himself to be a little bit smarter than the likes of an animal. How smart could animals be in the first place? Then there was a lot of information spread to him at the last couple of statements made by the fox. He knew that he shouldn't be worried by a fox, but someone could be wary of a teenager that was on the street just the same. Most people were capable of killing someone at a very young age as long as they had the right equipment. Hell, someone could kill someone with just a pencil. He flicked one of his ears at the question at the end of everything, and Vagabond would remember what the fox said about his father. Was he an orphan? Entirely possible, and that concerned the Hellhound a little bit. "I don't know herbal remedies. Look just show me what I need and I can do it myself." He would much rather learn than have someone touched him. Vagabond absolutely refused to be touched by anyone in this world, and he was fairly certain that if the other tried he, he would probably attack him on basic instinct. He was just looking to compromise with the guy here, and get this day over with. Besides, he had been trying to learn exactly how to fix himself up so that he could help his crew whenever they got injured. Re: Starchild are you listening| joining - teef - 11-21-2018 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- BAI SHI " my own illusion come to be " --------------------------------------------------------------------------- amusement may have flashed through their eyes at this time, "I'm serious. its rather ... impractical, but the plants are on par with the drugs from our human counterparts." they responded blandly, tail flicking through the air. huffing when he spoke of animals not understanding what a human was they forced a smile, "not just a fox, here. i used to be a human at one time. the one behind me is the same. our entire blood-related family were humans once." they murmured a little sharply, annoyed it seemed. sighing they looked at him, "ah well. come then, I'll show you the most easily used herbs." they murmured, looking back at astéri with a certain look, inviting their brother along if he wished. |
