KISS MY EYES AND LAY ME TO SLEEP / joining - KLIMENT - 11-16-2018

So many claimed territories.

It made him snort at the thought of it yet he supposed it was fine as long as he didn't run into those damned humans. His rabbit-like ears curved forward as his barbed tongue slithered out from between his powerful jaws, his muzzle lifting to the air as he took in several smells. A swamp. By the smell of it, this was no ordinary swamp. It was interesting to say the least, it reminded him of Chernobyl, that had been his home for a while before he had finally left in fear of being sought out by those meddling two legged mammals. He moved slowly with his nostrils flaring a bit, he didn't have any eyes to help him navigate but with his special ability and his enhanced senses he made the most of it. His tail brushed against a few trees only to feel his talons sinking into some mud did he let out a loud hiss of frustration "HOW INFURIATING." He grumbled to himself with his ears slowly moving to press against his cranium, well, he supposed this was better than any fire or noises that irked him. He moved forward remaining alert, he could smell several animals up ahead. A civilization. Perhaps it was similar to that of the Rosebloods? He would find out soon enough, he was sure of it.

His ears twitched at the sound of movement within the water near him, Kliment didn't seem to be afraid despite his vulnerability and lack of vision. He pawed around until he found a little isle of land, he pushed himself forward but felt a pair of powerful jaws latching onto his spiky tail. His lips peeled back showing his own set of chompers, it didn't take long for him to concentrate onto the reptile seeing the blueprints that was identified as the alligators skeleton. This one was odd and mutated though Kliment doubted it wouldn't taste any less good, the thought of eating the predator made his mouth salivate. "WE APPRECIATE YOUR GRACIOUS OFFER," He hissed through his teeth only to reach forward with his jaws, he would push his teeth into the tough skin of the mutated alligator feeling it let his tail free and start writhing. He grabbed its throat with his claws pushing it onto the bank with lips still peeled back but in a form of a sneer, he continued to observe the creature writhing. He was certain if he released them, his saliva would get the job done but alas, he was a little bloodthirsty at the moment.

His talon-like claws eventually gripped onto the roof and bottom jaw of the creature, he could already tell they were tiring and slowly giving up. "MMM, GOOD GOOD. WE SINCERELY APPRECIATE YOUR FUTILE EFFORTS IN ESCAPE BUT ALAS, WE ARE BETTER THAN YOU. WE ARE STRONGER THAN YOU. WE OUTBEST YOU AT EVERYTHING. WE HAVE EVOLVED YET YOUR SPECIES CONTINUE TO STAY WHERE IT BEGAN, WE FEEL PITY PERHAPS..." At this moment, he had a thoughtful expression with the blade-like tip of his tail tapping his chin as if he was actually thinking of releasing this poor creature. "WE DO NOT." He said at least and with a quick movement of his claws, he pulled and pushed the upper part of the alligators jaws to the side until he heard a snap. He released the scaley beast watching it fall limp with a soft thud, he rose into the small bit of land with a soft snort escaping him. He would shake off some of the muck from his paws before piercing his tail through the alligator slowly finding the scent marker. So here it was.

Tanglewood.

It appears that Kris cannot get a single normal day, could they? With many weird creatures, the bullying that has continued, and so much more... They were getting used to life here, and then... they stumble on this. The cat looks with eyes wide, as the odd creature looked like darkness itself. The creature kept calling itself "we," and it was just so... odd. For once, someone could actually see their red eyes widen in fear. What was this guy doing?! He was giving a monologue, it seemed like, to the alligator. Was... he planning to eat the alligator? Their ears flattened. No, no! This guy was a danger. Kris flattened their self, watching with curious eyes. And then the alligator got pushed on the bank, and then... it was another speech. Oh no! Was this guy gonna eat then?! Their fur pricked up, and as they reached the border, Kris ran the other direction, calling out, "Mom! Asriel! Helllllp! I think that guy might eat me!"

Hopefully, that got someone else's attention.

Re: KISS MY EYES AND LAY ME TO SLEEP / joining - Morgan - 11-18-2018

Morgan arrived as soon as he could to protect the newer Tangler from whatever was supposedly going to feast on them. He donned his usual full armor and twin ice spears, ready to fight any threat that might come. Yet, when he saw the huge creature, he asked,
"Eat you...?"
Shaking his head, the samoyed continued,
"No, that just looks like a mutant. You see many of them in our territory. Stay back, anyway - this one looks a bit bigger than what I'm used to."
Then again, even a mutant that large would have been smaller than Fenrisulfr - a Tangler who Morgan wished would still be around to see such potential competition. Frowning slightly beneath his mask, he whispered,
"But I don't think I've ever seen one like that... Maybe they're here for a reason."

The sudden screaming made his rabbit-like ears twitch with irritation, he often hated the more high frequency noises that children made but it wasn't to the point where it made him shake with rage. His lips peeled back into a snarl as his pseudo eyes locked onto the small felines skeletal structure only to snort with clear annoyance digging his sharp claws into the alligators chest "YOU? YOU ARE HARDLY EVEN A SNACK FOR US," His claws pierced through the gators flesh as he let out a rumbling 'hmm' as if really considering his options, he didn't really like the idea of this child crying wolf even if his clear disinterest was visble. "NOW IF YOU KEPT SCREAMING LIKE THAT THEN WE MIGHT CONSIDER IT..." He snorted though his gaze eventually moved over to look at a small dog, his ears flicking back, this one was not any better. God. They were hardly a snack together and he would very much prefer the alligator he had just killed then the small dog had the nerve to call Kliment one of the resident mutants. Ha, as if something as glorious as himself would develop from this pitiful place. No, even Chernobyl was much nicer than Tanglewood itself. Besides, he was certain that any other rinky dink mutant wouldn't be able to talk much, hell, the alligator he had pinned down could have said something for all he knew but it didn't so, Kliment simply furrowed his non-existent eyebrows at the duo.

Without a word, he swiftly bit down on the alligators head only to pull and twist until he was able to faintly hear muscle and flesh tearing once he had loosened it enough. He would give a powerful yank cleaning ripping off the alligators head from its body, he spat it out to the side only a few feet away from Morgan and Kris. Blood dripped from his jaws, his snout still scrunched up with a bit of irritation "MAYBE ASKING SAID MUTANT WOULD HELP, DON'T ASSUME WE CANNOT SPEAK FOR OURSELVES." His claws tapped impatiently onto the ground, he wasn't here to talk about his origin or of what he was even though the term mutant was slowly getting on his nerves. MAMMALS ARE ABSOLUTELY INFERIOR. He thought with slight disgust though he didn't bother voicing this as he spoke once more "IS THIS ANOTHER ONE OF THOSE CLANS WE HEARD SO MUCH OF? OR IS IT SIMPLY A RAGTAG GROUP OF PUPPIES AND KITTIES?" The last part was sneered but he was being genuinely serious. Hell, at least, the Rosebloods had bigger clanmates that could easily be made his meal but if there was only cats and dogs here in Tanglewood then the alligator population would definitely decrease.

This was quite the perplexing scenario the trio had running here. An aberration, one of inky coating, had made his debut appearance in the swamps, and merrily sunk his teeth on one of those large reptiles of unsound mind. In Leroy’s eyes, the guest was not by any means in the wrong here - sure, he might have been intruding on secluded property, but the gruesome interloper had also been dimming down the gator population. If one understood the mutt on a personal level, or if they had been present mid-August, one could comprehend that the guardsman was in no way fond of gators; an attack on one of them is a compliment to him. In fact, he had been on his way to welcome the newcomer with open arms, until some guttersnipe came along and caterwauled in fear for their life. The names that the individual in question cried out for, Leroy could only guess. Since when did Tanglewood have any mothers? Who was Ass-Real? Whoever they were, he hoped that they were to be disappointed in the little tyke, for dampening the spirits of the new friend, here. Following their doltish outbreak of fear, which likely grabbed the attention of half the clan based on how loud their tone continued to ring through his folded ears, he once more began trekking towards the new kid on the block; but not before none other than Morgan made th scene in full fucking battle armour.

At this point, he’d understand if the foreign face (did it have a face?) immediately turned tail at the foolishness. He had curiously gallivanted onto Tanglewood’s territory, likely for some ho hum reason, only to be met with threats and hard-boiled remarks, hence the decision to disembark would have been a reasonable one. However, he backed up not a single step - he even continued to crunch on his claimed meal. Now, gators had skin and bones which could be compared to stone - if this dude could crush one in a single, effortless endeavour, there was no way Leroy was finding himself on the recieving end of a bite.

Time to play the nice guy, it seemed.

"This’s indeed one of ’those clans’,” he’d quip lightheartedly, trotting onwards with a toothy grin, ”and I’ll have ya know that we are indeed a ’ragtag group of puppies and kitties’ - but’cha can help change that by joining us like ya wish to." Amber hues scanned the creature, a facial expression which emitted confusion grew. He appeared like what it would look like if the god of all things ugly took a shit and decided to give it fangs and a name. At least he didn’t smell that way. [color=#b2b2b2][b]”I’m Leroy, happy t’ have ya here. Couldja provide a name - and whatever the hell ya are?”

[div style="margin: 0 auto; width: 65%; font-family: timesnewroman; font-size: 10pt; text-align: justify;"]Yikes. It's a little sad to say that Jim had seen weirder. Because, really, what was weirder than a beast like this eating one of Tanglewood's 'gators like they were nothing? Damn, Jim himself probably couldn't bite through their skin without breaking a tooth.
Unlike his new buddies here in Tanglewood, Jim wasn't all that frightened of this beast, largely due to the aforemented fact that he'd seen worse. Being chased on Delta Vega .. yeah, that was more terrifying. At least the stranger here wasn't actively trying to eat him. Or anybody else, for that matter.
"Damn, you actually look kind of cool," Jim sees fit to say, now that Leroy has answered the beast's question. He regards the stranger appreciatively. It makes Jim a little disappointed in the universe's choice of form for him -- seriously, a dog? I mean, a wolfdog, but still a dog. Jim wasn't a dog. He wasn't. Has he listened to somebody else in his life, ever? Besides his crew, he means. "You also look terrifying, but that's part of the charm, I guess," It was easier to appreciate terrifying things when they weren't actively trying to kill you.
