They were not overly enthused with their new home. If there were other children they hadn't met them, but even then, Kris wasn't sure they'd get along anyway. They weren't much of the social type. Instead, they preferred making up their own games to play, and reading books, and things of that sort. They could entertain themselves just fine. Right?

The child had grown a bit bored. They had taken to scratching doodles in the dirt outside of their den tail flicking as they did, an apathetic calm settling over them like a weighted blanket. There was nothing much for them to do. They were too young and too new to know the territory of the other clans, so they were useless as an ambassador, but they were also useless in their own home. They hardly knew their own territory so far, and that wasn't great, but they were afraid to go exploring it on their own. At home had been a different story- they knew their home town like the back of their hand, but here, everything was new and different. It was a bit... frustrating. But who knew, maybe something interesting would finally happen.
