The Ascendants really weren't on good terms with Sunhaven, in reality. They had accused someone of murder, we had accused them, it was a big fuckin' mess, and Oni couldn't find it in himself to really care. He had a bunch of shit to do, and this was on his list.

Last time they had taken a patrol, they had gotten attacked on Ascendants side of the border by Sunhaveners, so he wasn't really looking forward to fighting again.

But when the Lieutenant had arrived at the borders, he had noticed how water seemed to rise a bit too high for comfort, stopping him from venturing further. Glancing back, Onision's fur rose in annoyance. "Their territory fuckin' flooded. We need to make sure nobody's on our side of the border all washed up, then head back and inform the Seraphs. Got it?" He barked, turning back to his patrolmates.

▹▹▹▹ Despite whatever loyalties Sunhaven and Ascendants had- or perhaps rather lack of loyalty- Atticus knew that a flood was no small thing to deal with. While he had more than happily agreed to go on patrol with Onison and the others, the large jaguar had seen the high water in the distance long before they had ever settled their paws where they stood now. A small, tiny part of him was hoping he had been wrong about his initial assumption of what was happening, given the slow change of the seasons where floods were all the more likely, but he was rarely wrong. His ear flicked at Onison's words, yet no surprise had crossed his face as he stared out over the flooded territory, his golden eyed gaze already scanning over the surface. With a low rumble of his throat in agreement to Onison, to give some form of reply, the Jaguar then stepped off around the edge of the border, seeing if there were any lives to be found.

CRYPTICWHISPER is an Angeli Divine, in the form of a 5ft Angeleon - he is of the exceedingly rare 'black Ichor' caste of which only a theorised handful exist [mine].
Currently he resides in Sunhaven as a hearthkeeper. Is considered 'fallen' by his brethren for his renegade status. Aura and abilities are black-purple as is signature to black Ichor caste. Wears silver-black 'black star' armour & wields the Eclipse Sword.

he'd seen them from above already, but the Angeli did nothing more than glance their way as wings - normally hidden with invisibility - carried him over the flooded area as he likewise patrolled the border still whilst searching for any sunhaveners that hadn't made it to high ground.

whether to rescue them - or to bring back a body for the closure of a family or friend.

but he flies closer to them as he watches them seemingly investigating - he'll leave them alone if they stay on their border and don't start anything - though he's aware a rogue one of theirs started the last one, though inflammatory comments on either side really didn't help - but for now he turns his eyes back to the flood, still searching.
