WITH A HEAVY HEART | LEAVING, PIP NEEDED - GARRETT - 11-10-2018

[align=center][div style="max-width: 500px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 9.5pt; line-height: 1.4;letter-spacing:.1px"]Restlessness has taken root in Garrett's chest, a fear that bubbled up from between his ribs slowly taking over. He worried after the smallest of things, but also the biggest. His parents, his family, what he was going to do with himself. This place wasn't right for him, and what he needed wasn't something he could find. For the most part, the dog had done what he'd could to just stay out of the way. If he didn't bother people, they wouldn't bother him. At least this way he was out from under their paws. So he spent his time with robots instead. Now when he says robots, he doesn't mean robots. They don't move, but his mother had taught him how to tinker as soon as his eyes were open and he could listen. His paws followed her much larger steps. Although he's jealously guarded the few pieces of her work he has left in his satchel, creating and meticulously destroying just to start again later, there was one that he held on to. It wasn't even a robot, really. But it was important.

As he sits and thinks, the dog presses a paw absently against the small, mostly-healed wound on his leg. All that's left is to regrow the patch of fur, which will probably come with time. He'd meant this to be a thank you for that, but anxiety had swallowed him up. Until now — maybe because if it wasn't now, he'd leave and it'd be all over. He's gonna leave anyway. At least this way Pip'll know that he appreciated it. (It would seem so silly to anyone else, heart tripping up and throat going tight over gentle paws and a bandage.) He heads towards the last place he'd seen the other dog, fidgeting a bit and shifting his shoulders until the bag falls to a more comfortable position. It's obvious what his plans are, with the way he stands and what he wears, but he can't seem to get the words out right away. "Hey Pip?"

Re: WITH A HEAVY HEART | LEAVING, PIP NEEDED - PEPPINO - 11-10-2018

Pip was restless fairly often, even more so lately. The pouch project was a result of that, something he needed to do because waiting around for someone to inevitably arrive injured was no way he wanted to go about this. He was a bit disheartened, though. A few people had accepted the pouches, but Bakugou had refused. Statistically, more people accepted than refused, but this was important.n Even one person turning down the first-aid kit was one person too many, especially here, where so many people were either magnets or instigators of trouble. Regardless of his dampened spirits, the young canine kept at his work. Monotonous and exhausting as it could be, especially when he needed to restock -he didn't take from the soothsayer's reserves, instead finding his own- Peppino considered it more pressing than entertaining himself with something more mentally challenging.

A social life wasn't exactly on his list of priorities, either.

Regardless, he liked a few people, politely distant as he could be. Junji's children seemed nice enough, along with the soothsayer himself. His family. Bakugou wasn't so terrible as he seemed. There was Garrett, too, who had a quiet demeanor, and seemed a little uncomfortable with this place sometimes. Still, though, to see the other canine clearly preparing to leave was...he didn't expect it. "Are you leaving?" He rolled the word around in his mouth, found it was unappetizing, at least in this context. Pip closed the distance between them, retrieving a pouch, which he slipped into one of the outer pockets of Garrett's satchel. "Just some herbs, in case you get another scratch. Don't ignore it for so long next time." He was gently chastising, mismatched gaze a bit heavy with something unreadable as he met green eyes.

Re: WITH A HEAVY HEART | LEAVING, PIP NEEDED - Grey - 11-11-2018

Time and time again, Bakugou had felt like he didn't belong in The Typhoon. He didn't, however, do anything about his feelings. He simply let himself sulk, allowed his emotions to brew into some angst-fueled masterpiece. Nowadays, he was much healthier with the way he approached his feelings. While he still tended to bottle, he was beginning to understand his place in The Typhoon. Funny how in the other world, no one sought to defend his reputation or pride, but in this world, they had done exactly that. His lips press together when his eyes catch Garrett and Peppino, doing well to remember the time the boy had come to The Typhoon, lost. It was there that the island extended a shelter, much to his annoyance that his 'home' was being used as a motel for lost strangers. Despite this, he has no attachments towards the pup. While he has been living in The Typhoon for some time, he's seen very little of the boy, only having really noticed him during Peppino's sage tryout. Perhaps the sage owed his position to the canine's assistance, being there so Pip could bandage the young male and prove his intelligence in healing. To be honest, Bakugou thought the sage tryouts to be rather unfair - tailored to those who already had some knowledge rather than those who were interested. Despite that, he could understand that Junji having more on his plate would only cause more stress.

When he approaches out of coincident, merely passing by, he catches the sage's words. He hears Peppino ask the child if he was leaving and the young Quartermaster immediately halts, flicking an ear in the two's direction. The bag that Garrett was wearing certainly seemed to suggest the idea that he was going on a trip somewhere. "Where're you goin', kid?" Bakugou asks Garrett, though it is mainly in the interest of seeing if the child was planning to leave The Typhoon for good or go on some kind of pilgrimage. Many members of the island often left only to return. Heck, he had left for about a week just to go on training. It didn't hurt to age if Garrett intended to withdraw his association to The Typhoon or not.
