[align=center][div style="width: 45%; text-align: justify; font-size: 12pt; letter-spacing: -1px; font-family: times new roman;"]♡ — Amber eyes settled on the large wooden barricades that remained unguarded. Huh. Maybe they were busy, or didn't think that anybody would show up. Not that she would be able to get very far. The young feline's claws tore into the grass underneath her, a bit nervous, stomach rumbling as she trotted forward, hesitating before poking her head in, as if committing a crime. "Hi! Uh, do you guys have food? And maybe a place for me to stay?"

Nora had wandered, for the most part, from place to place, small nameless groups made up of a couple of families, never really staying too long, being a bit too much of a drain on resources, in their eyes. She knew and accepted this, moving on with whatever food she could grab and be on her way. It would likely be the same here. Or, you could actually find something you excel in, and actually stay for more than a few months. "I'm willing to work for it!" The tortie added, somewhat half-heartedly.

[align=center][div style="max-width: 500px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 9.5pt; line-height: 1.4;letter-spacing:.1px"]That was what anyone needed, wasn't it? Food and a place to stay. Steve wasn't looking down on that- everybody had basic needs, and sometimes, it was just easiest to get those things by hopping in with a larger group. Steve had spent so much time on his own, rarely staying anywhere longer than a week or two, so it wasn't as though he didn't know how to handle the basics on his own. He could have left days ago, and told himself he stayed because he wanted to help with the rains to repay a debt, but he'd done that already, hadn't he? It was...loneliness, maybe, that kept him here. Steve could be awful at talking to people, but that didn't mean he hated being around them, or that he disliked them, either. Just about 100% of the time, he got into trouble because he stuck his neck out for complete strangers. Not exactly the work of someone who people, unless he had an ulterior motive. Which he didn't. He never asked for anything.

He would admit it was nice, despite the weather as of late. The feline had more time to paint, and a room for it, too, which hadn't happened before. It was no wonder that people flocked here when there was so much Sunhaven had to offer.

"Plenty of both," the small feline answered, nodding politely to her. "Lots of ways to pull your weight, too." Steve had been attempting to do that. Technically, he didn't have much weight, but he never could do anything without putting all of himself into it.

"I'm Steve. What's your name?"

Nora shifted, taking a few steps back away from the barricade, taking note of how muddy the ground was from the recent and unrelenting rains that had plagued Sunhaven. Even now, she could feel the unnatural amount of moisture in the air, as if warning that any moment the downpour would continue. “Nora. Pleased to meet you.” A bright grin would form, something that said, ‘I’m friendly, I’m useful’.

“What is this place, anyways? One of those nameless groups or something like that?”

Ah one of the great parts about living in a group- you get a roof over your head and fresh prey to eat. That's always a plus side, as if you're living on your own, prey can be scarce and finding shelter can be difficult. Bucky lived out on his own twice in his life- first when his parents died and second when he left his second home. The first time was more difficult than the second, as the second time around- he had the experience. But he was glad that his traveling came to an end with Sunhaven. Not only did he get shelter(that's well, unfortunately gone now) and fresh food, he gained new friends and family. Sure, it took him some time to meet his new clanmates, but it's worth it at the end of it all.

The maine coon silently made his way over after Steve, tufted ears pricked up. The large, fluffy male stoof beside the devon rex, his light blue gaze landing onto Nora. "We're Sunhaven," He answered the feline's question, pleased she already understood in order to live here, she has to carry her own weight. If she wants to live under their roofs and eat their food, she must hunt and patrol like everyone else. He couldn't help it but wonder what she meant by nameless groups- Bucky hasn't ran across any of those groups before. It seems like Nora has, though. "My name is Buckingham Barnes- feel free to call me Bucky."
