IN MY FIELD OF PAPER FLOWERS // settling in - ATBASH CIPHER. - 11-08-2018 ATBASH CIPHER somebody make me alive, and shatter me !
There was a sinking feeling in Atbash's stomach as she moved throughout the Observatory, looking for an empty room to place all of her things. She didn't have much, since the flames had burned most of her items that she left in her cabin, but still. This was a time to start over, again. I don't want to start over. Things had been nice in Snowbound, even if the tribe was small. Atbash was proud of the quiet little place and felt absolutely horrible that they had to escape rather than fight the flames. But there had been so many; they couldn't fight the flames if they wanted to. The room she choose only had a bed, a mirror, and a nightstand with a lamp on it. Atbash frowned at the nightstand for a few heartbeats before she owned the single drawer it had and took her necklaces off, placing them inside. The Ascendants had once been known for having their own pendants, though Atbash wasn't sure if they still did that tradition. If they did, she would have to talk to somebody about getting her own. You're not Snowbound's leader anymore. The savannah told herself. These titles don't exist anymore. Still, the she-cat wanted to remember her time in Snowbound and wanted to keep her little necklace. Sighing, Atbash closed the drawer and went to the bed that was there already in the room and plopped herself onto it, staring at the ceiling. It was daylight outside, so she couldn't look at the stars that shone. That was the only thing good about this place; they honored the stars and at night, the observatory opened to show the mass of stars that shone in the sky. Once again the former leader let out a sigh, closing her eyes. Snowbound was much better than this, The tribe had been like her Home Dimension, The Ascendants was not. bio | female | observer of the ascendants © madi
Re: IN MY FIELD OF PAPER FLOWERS // settling in - agathe. - 11-10-2018 [align=center][div style="width: 500px; text-align: justify; font-family: Verdana; font-size: 12px; color;"]Very rarely did Agathe ever intrude upon her clanmates' quarters. For one, they hardly stood to interest the cloaked leopardess, especially because she had her own room with her own things that was well away from everyone else. Call her antisocial, but her constant headaches and overall withdrawn personality didn't exactly make interaction easy. She also didn't want to infringe upon another's privacy. She demanded respect but knew that within the Ascendants, it was a two-way road. If she expected her clanmates to leave her and her belongings alone, she had to extend to them that same favor. But Atbash was a... different case. The former Snowbound leader provided a great deal of intrigue to Agathe. They had been allies at one time and, while the pair had never interacted before now, a part of her knew that they should try to demand retribution for what the Pitt did to them. That was why she was here now, hovering silently outside of her smaller girl's door and carefully contemplating what she might say to her. At first, she entertained the idea of being eloquent before realizing that in this case, eloquence didn't matter. "I'd have to ask Titan," She began quietly, peering inside of her new room, "But perhaps we might be able to strike back. For you. For Snowbound." Isabelle didn't know much about Snowbound. She had heard the name in passing a few times, but it never stuck out in her memory. It was a fleeting thing in her mind, overpowered by other matters, more personal ones. She barely knew about the clan's existence, or it's downfall. All she knew was that she was intrigued by this new member, who she didn't even know was this clan's former leader, a queen stripped of her crown. The only thing she really knew about her was that she carried an air of misery with her. She looked sad, and that was not acceptable to the young kitten. She happened across the pair as she was strolling through the halls, bored and searching for something to entertain herself. When she saw Agathe at the door, talking about something she didn't understand, she tilted her head. She knew it wasn't her business, but curiosity won her over and she ended up walking up closer. Peering into the room, she smiled at the sight of their new arrival, the female's name lost on her. "Hello!" she says, almost instantly forgetting about the ominous words of her leader. "What's your name? I'm Isabelle, but you can just call me Belle," she too stands at her door, having enough manners to not intrude unless she was welcomed in. Sometimes she just got ahead of herself. "speech" Re: IN MY FIELD OF PAPER FLOWERS // settling in - ATBASH CIPHER. - 11-11-2018 ATBASH CIPHER somebody make me alive, and shatter me !
Atbash's ears pricked at the sound of Agathe's voice, turning her head to look at the leader with a slight frown whenever she brought up getting revenge. "I... don't know who started the recent fire." She responded with a sigh, walking to sit at the entrance of her room. "But thank you. I think... I'll be okay for right now." Funnily enough, the whole reason The Pitt took over in the first place (though they weren't the ones that caused the fire) was because Atbash was willing to take a stand and defend her tribemates. But right now, Atbash couldn't. She had no energy, no drive to go after anybody right now. She just... wanted to relax for right now. The sound of another voice made Atbash look down, turning her head just slightly to be able to see Isabelle with her remaining eye. She smiled sweetly to the child, though it was forced. "It's nice to meet you Belle." She tried to let out a small purr. "My name is Atbash." bio | female | observer of the ascendants © madi
Re: IN MY FIELD OF PAPER FLOWERS // settling in - PIERCE - 11-12-2018 ☁ Pierce hadn't been around a ton lately. Why? He wasn't too sure. Things had just felt... weird to him, he supposed, after choosing to move once again, but he decided he was finally ready to get involved in things and start learning more about his "new clan". What else was he gonna do, anyway, turn into some sort of hermit and hide away in he and Clementine's little home painting pictures all day? No thanks. The former Goldenheart wouldn't have been drawn to Atbash's new living quarters had it not been for the sound of voices as he walked by, ears perking in the direction of the room as he slowed. He raised bright eyes to the entrance of the home, pausing for a moment before peering inside to see his three clanmates standing inside.
He knew nothing about the destruction of his former home, and it was uncertain whether or not he would have cared much if he did. It wasn't that he didn't care that so many lives had been disrupted, even ruined - of course he cared -, but just that he didn't care much for the place itself. Hell, he was beginning to find that his connection to groups and places had begun to fade, replaced with closer connections to individuals. A year ago, when he was vice-leader of a particular clan far, far away, he would never have believed anyone who told him he'd gone down this path. Pierce had been so devoted to that place, the first - and pretty much only - place he had been able to honestly call home, and no matter the person or their importance to him, with perhaps one exception, there was no one that could ever possibly deter him from protecting and taking care of that clan, the clan that, though practically filled with strangers, was still the one he considered to have taken him in and practically raised him. Would Ascendants ever even come close to being that place for Pierce? He sure hoped so- but for the time being, living safely with his daughter was going to have to be enough for him. "Atbash?" echoed the serval, looking over his former leader with a small smile beginning to tug at his lips. He had never been close with the femme, not at all, but it was always nice to see a familiar face. "It's been a while; how are you doing?" His tone was warm, clearly pleased to come across the savannah cat once more. He was quite obviously oblivious to Atbash's current situation, however, for despite his usual gentleness, had he been aware of what had happened to Snowbound, he likely would have approached the situation with much more softness and caution than he had. Truthfully, Atbash wasn't sure if she could call The Ascendants home like she had done with Snowbound. The snowy area that the tribe lived in was much like her Home Dimension, whereas The Ascendants... did not. Although their affinity with stars was interesting, she doubted that she could find the same sort of feeling she had in Snowbound. As Pierce appeared, Atbash's ears pricked in surprise. "Pierce!" She exclaimed, blinking at him with her one eye. At his question regarding how she was doing, she frowned. "I'm... doing okay, I suppose. How are things with you?" She asked, trying to give him a warm smile now. Had she known Pierce hadn't heard of what happened to Snowbound, she would have brought it up. Honestly, she presumed that almost everyone did, but of course there would be a few people with no knowledge of the destruction of the snowy tribe. Atbash had the ability to erase memories, but unfortunately she couldn't exactly do that to herself. Then again, would she truly want to get rid of the memories she made in Snowbound? bio | female | observer of the ascendants © madi
