BURN THE PAGES / weekly task, cleaning the library - HAMMOND - 11-08-2018 [align=center][div style="text-align: justify; width: 60%; font-family: georgial; font-size: 11pt;"]Axle had never really been interested in the library. With all the information he could possibly ever need experienced through actions as opposed to words on a page, the Guardsman had always valued street smarts more than book smarts - fictional detectives or vivid villains weren't going to teach him how to hunt or fight. Some value could be found from medical books and encyclopedias he supposed, it was that simple proposition that motivated the Australian Cattle Dog to complete his task for the week. A stage had been reached in his 'forced' assistance to the group where he wasn't doing it to repay a debt anymore, the only way he could justify acting out of the kindness of his heart was to come up with logical explanations for everything. Entering the library, there was some regret that he'd agreed to be useful - the place looked positively wrecked. Torn pages, broken spines, books splayed out all over the place like bodies, lanterns were thrown off of the walls too. Would it be easier to find another library than to clean this one up by himself? A growl escaped him, quiet and inoffensive but frustrated regardless. Ghosts had left him alone during their tenure around Tanglewood, perhaps realising he was too haunted already to bother tormenting him further, they were at least vexing enough to make their presence known elsewhere. Leaving the door to the library open, a silent hint that someone was around, Axle would get to work. First came the lanterns, which the Heeler thought would be more challenging than reorganising the books. Mounting them back on the walls would be a challenge, for he was a little too small to reach up on his hind legs and hook them back on. Ok... nevermind, he'd find a chair to leap on later, seems like he'd have to do the papers first. Pushing the lanterns up to their respective walls for future assembly, Axle began picking up the stray pages that'd been dumped everywhere, organising them into a semi-neat pile so the more book-orientated sort could figure out what media they belonged to. Even now, the floor was starting to look less like a horse stable, but there was plenty more to do. Re: BURN THE PAGES / weekly task, cleaning the library - VIGENERE CIPHER. - 11-08-2018 Re: BURN THE PAGES / weekly task, cleaning the library - valo-kas - 11-09-2018 where there were honest (or even dishonest) souls trying to make some progress in the name of order, there was a shitassed mutant ready to undo it to the best of their ability. so, yeah. here they came, paws wet with their own viscous pink ooze that was promptly trailed into and throughout the library as they pelted in and about at full speed. they were highly aware of the presence of the other two - vig- vin- vinegar? vinegaroon? and some asslick, they decided - but neither were really the messy beast’s priority. valo-kas’ priority was to open one of the few floor-bound books that didn’t fall apart at the tough instead, and to start licking the pages with a frantic sort of energy. |
