BURN TO SURVIVE - open; FLOOD PREPAREDNESS - rhosmari - 11-06-2018

Cryptic was right, they were all right. If this weather continued they could be looking a some severe damage. Even worse Bex's home had already flooded, Bucky's home had capsized and the female didn't know what else could or would happen within the span of the next coming days. She was afraid. More afraid than she had been when she was sick, more afraid than when the conflict with the Ascendants had arisen and she had to take control of the situation for the protection of Sunhaven against madmen with power. This could destroy them if they were not careful about it and she had to be quick. The hellbeast ran to the center of the village, already water was sloshing up over the boardwalk now permanently. It was a sign of what was to come and she knew that now. With everything that had been happening she had to get everyone ready for the worse. "Sunhaven gather before the fountain please!" She called out quickly, feeling the waves of water wash over her ankles and she knew that was too much water. Too much.

Her heart thudded in her chest and she breathed in slowly before releasing it. The sea was her friend yes, but it could be a dangerous enemy. The weather was not on their side and she had to admit that the only thing that mattered was protecting everyone, saving them. Even if she drowned getting them all out of harm's way was the most important thing. Her eyes flicked open and she looked to those that had braved the windy and downpour of rain to heed her call. "Sunhaven! We need tae be prepared for the worse! Already two homes have flooded out because of the rains and the waters of the river are risin'. Grab whatever ya can salvage, personal items, anything ya want tae take with ya. Board up ya homes if ya need to but we might not be able tae stay here. If this continues it is highly likely that the village will flood out and we can not be here when that happens."

Bucky was still pretty shaken up from his home capsizing. He wasn't upset that he got seasick in the process- as that was the least of his problems when the boat overturned. It was pure luck that he didn't get impaled by one of his knives from his collection(they all came off of the wall) or crushed by his furniture. He could have drowned, and the people like Steve, Cryptic, and Marina all went out of their way to help him. They were risking their own lives in the process, the gratitude he felt towards them couldn't be described in words.

Bucky lost everything when his home capsized. He wasn't about to go back to his boathouse to look for items to retrieve. He wasn't going to take the chances of step on broken glass or knives in the water. Plus, who knows if his vomit washed out of there yet- gross. Bucky decided the moment he survived the overturning and people helped him get out, that none of his personal items were worth saving. They can all be replaced- he can't. The maine coon made his way over to the center of the village, the water up to his belly. With his legs, tail, and belly soaked with water- the maine coon didn't look nearly as 'huge' anymore. "I can grab items if anyone needs help. I don't have any personal items that I can salvage." He has no home to go back to, after all.

Floods where horrid, but what about the homes that were a distance away from the river? The ones who were within the forest? They stood at a chance of been crushed by large trees in the surrounding area.  Fin walked over towards the call and sat down carefully.    All they could do was grab letters and important journals, and of course any blankets they could stuff into their bags.  Those were important, they would be damned if they didn't have one thing that was related to their craft.

To hell and high water, they hoped everything was going to be alright.

Re: BURN TO SURVIVE - open; FLOOD PREPAREDNESS - GORDON CIPHER. - 11-08-2018

The flood was absolutely horrifying to Gordon. Not only was she smaller than an average feline, but she couldn't swim, either, so if something happened to her, she wasn't sure if she would be able to survive. Gordon's heart pounded in her chest as she made her way towards the fountain at Marina's call, trying to cling onto Buckingham. "B-Bucky?" She squeaked out to the male. "D-do you think you can help me c-carry some things?" The only thing she had was, admittedly, her stuffed animals and although some people might consider that a silly thing to worry over - considering Gordon was an adult - but they gave her a sense of comfort. They helped her relax and made her feel safe. At least if she got one, she could at least try to remain calm throughout this situation.

LUCERYS VELARYON // M, 20 M/O // SUNHAVEN

Most of his things weren't important- they could be lost in the flood but he could replace them- he was more worried about the shrine itself flooding than his own belongings. When the water had begun to rise in the tatami floors, filling the shrine and washing it out, Lucerys shrieked in frustration, his tail whipping around behind him.

After a few moments of heartache, Lucy had escaped the shrine, flying over to Marina with soaked fur. "I can carry and pull a few things as well." He chittered, a sullen look in his normally happy eyes.

WHY SHOULD I PLAY THIS GAME OF PRETEND?

[align=center][div style="width: 45%; text-align: justify; font-size: 12pt; letter-spacing: -1px; font-family: times new roman;"]♡ — "I can, too. Probably not much, though." The young feline had only just arrived, and had no houseboat or belongings to call her own.

It was clear that Nora was not comfortable with the constant rains, and being soaked to the bone. Long fur hung off the tortie, and she shook herself a bit, even if the attempt to get dry was futile, as moments later she was just as wet as she had been before. Yet unlike the other Sunhaveners, she wasn't quite feeling the sense of loss they likely were, having only been here a day or two, and had yet to think of this place as a home.

"Where will we go, though, if we can't stay here?"
