SIT NEXT TO ME [ ✧ ] OPEN - ICARUS - 11-06-2018

It was a neat place, once he stopped getting stuck in trees. The underground caverns they called home were pretty, and the first time he'd walked through, Perseus had stood and pawed at cold, clear water with wide eyes. His breath was taken away repeatedly as he walked, slipping between larger bodies and hiding underneath their chests. People got quick, shouted apologies as he moves on if he got under their feet, but for the most part the boy has stuck to himself these last few hours. Which isn't a whole lotta time, but it is for him. He can't help but feel restless, like he's missing something big. Though the tiger cub explores and sees plenty of people, he doesn't know them and he kind of wants to. It'd probably be easier, if he was going to stay. But that wasn't the most important thing right now. Wandering through the caverns had brought Perseus to something spectacular: string. It was tangled and the colors were faded, but it was perfect.

He had spent the last few minutes simply trying to untangle the coiled mess, curved claws digging into the bundle and tugging. The more he tugged, the more colors he began to see, long strands hidden from the sun and dust. The string itself changed colors from red to orange to yellow, and the more he unravels the more changes he sees. He whispers the names of them under his breath as each new one is revealed. Green, blue, purple... and then back to red. Part of him is slightly disappointed that there's not more, though that's unreasonable. There were only so many colors in the world, after all, and he couldn't have all of them. (Maybe that's good, because a few colors were pretty gross and the string is sort of pretty as it was.)

Now that the pile in front of him was at least mostly untangled, loosely looping lines of rainbow string on the solid, dirty ground underneath one of the pretty trees, he's... not entirely sure what to do with it. Maybe wrap it back up, but more carefully? That seems like a lotta work.

PHANTOM MENACE
Togata Mirio is an 18 month old golden retriever whom is currently residing in the Rosebloods. As of right now, he has no rank. He is best friends with Tamaki Amajiki, and adores Eri. He is physically hard and easy to befriend.

Mirio had a bad habit of sticking his head into situations without being welcomed into them beforehand, literally. His head poked through a wall as he watched the kid untangle rainbow string, an eyebrow cocked in mild interest. The child must have a lot of patience, because Mirio wouldn't have been able to sit there and untangle something like that. He had to constantly do something else, his attention never seemed to stay on one thing.

Soon, the golden retriever slipped through the wall he had previous been poking his head through, his fluffy form walking up upon the child with mild amusement in his midnight irises. Ah, how great it was to be young. He remembered being a child, a human, playing with Tamaki. He grew up with his crush, a fortunate thing for him because not everyone got to stay with their first love. Well, he wasn't.. Officially with Tamaki, he couldn't force that upon the hybrid.

Tilting his head to the side, the golden retriever might have spoken up too soon, too loud. "What'cha got there? String? Looks pretty cool." Mirio barked cheerfully, his smile only growing as he watched he other wrap the string and ponder.

Re: SIT NEXT TO ME [ ✧ ] OPEN - Grey - 11-07-2018

[div style="margin: 0 auto; border-width:0; width: 70%; text-align: justify; line-height: 1.5; font-family: arial; font-size: 9pt;"]Perry was surely grateful for the underground caverns because the heat of the sun would have driven him insane. The humidity of the rainforest was so awful that he could barely cope with it without become agitated by the smallest of things. Luckily for the coyote, the weather was supposed to be cooling down to winter and the drafts of wind that run down the tunnels cooled him down. It was like an oasis, a haven for him to stay at. He liked the fact that there were many things for the coyote to explore when in the overworld, but just as many things to wrap his mind underground. It was exciting for the male to keep his independence, familiar with the sensation of being alone, and just explore the new home he had signed up for. He was happy with his place, content with his decision to stay and understand life within a social group. So far, nothing had frightened him. There were no warning signs telling him to leave, run away or be afraid.

His eyes were still always doing the same thing, still darting about and watching for anything of interest. He was good at noticing the smallest of movements because his life had been a rush of high alert, looking out constantly for any dangers. Well, there wasn’t any dangers for the male to worry himself over, but he did notice the winged tiger cub seemingly tugging at something. He tries his best to observe at a distance, finally recognizing the fact that the child was trying to untangle a piece of string – old but still beautiful. It was good to stay occupied, he thinks. He knows for sure that once he has a good grip on the place, knowing that his navigation skills would cause him to understand every aspect of the territory quickly, that things would go downhill quite fast. He needed to be occupied himself so he had great pleasure just watching the way the child was so fixated on the string.

Perry begins to approach, striding towards the male before noticing that the tiger cub seemed to have given up, laying it out in front of him. His ears rotate towards the golden retriever, eyes unreadable. His gaze was like that of a mirror, refusing to show what he was thinking. ”Do y-you know h-how to w-write?” the coyote asks Perseus, eyes gleaming at the boy. It seemed that the string had been exhausted of its use because the child was just staring at it in a dumbfounded manner. ”Y-You c-could find some pa-parchment and w-write a le-letter to y-your f-future s-self the-then ro-roll it u-up a-and t-tie it w-with the s-string. Th-Then o-one day y-you can lo-look ba-back on it.”
