ONE STEP TOO MANY || MEETING 11/06 - MATUAH - 11-06-2018

[align=center][div style="0px; width:450px; height:auto; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height:13px; color:lightgrey;"]The smell of dust was there to greet him in the morning, eyes of violet parting as the low sunlight began to filter in through his window. For a moment the mutated beast just laid there, thick tail shifting slowly against the ground as he watched the dust motes float across the air. It seemed his room could due with some cleaning soon and he suppose should get to doing that but today was not that day. Today was a more prominent day for them, for all of the Conclave and he couldn't put off something so momentous. No that wouldn't be right to withhold the information such as this from those that followed him and worked to preserve all that they knew. Slowly he rose up from his bedding, arching his back in a rather cat like stretch before he made his way out of his room. The sounds of the West wing seemed rather quiet today and he hoped that would soon change with this declaration. Lifting his voice up as he left the wing he called out, allowing his voice to echo through the building. "Members of the Conclave please gather in the Auditorium for a grand meeting!" His voice was smooth and encouraging as he head off toward their very place of meetings.

It was a short walk actually, the way toward it leading to the library but one ventured off right and entered the double doors into the grand and rather spaciously accommodating room. It held enough space and a stage just for such announcements that he gladly walked up onto from the steps leading up to it. The windows were wide open and allowed for enough light to leak in that he would be easily seen from the members that were beginning to trickle in. Slowly the hybrid beast settled down before them all and he allowed a pleasant smile to filter across his muzzle. "Today is a momentous day for we are coming out of our shells. The Conclave has linger too long in isolation I do believe and it is time that we rise to the occasion and venture out a bit. There is a whole world out there that is begging to be harvested." His voice stopped there and allowed a silence to ring before he gave a light chuckle that lifted up into the air. "Harvested of knowledge of course. And Lady Death doesn't want us moping about and sitting around in her little hidey holes." It was a interesting joke and one he didn't feel was too bad but he wouldn't go forward with that.

"Now, those that can should go forth and spread out name to the other outer laying groups that linger here and there. I will be journeying to the Pitt myself and the Ascendants because they interest me the most with their spectrum of extremes. But I shall leave Sunhaven, Rosebloods, Typhoon, Tanglewood, and Recondite Realm to whoever wishes to go to them and check them out. Bring back any information that they give you and we can store it in the library at our own desecration. Any that are not visited I shall make my rounds to them." The creature gave a half hearted smirk pulled across his muzzle and he then lifted his eyes to a window, watching as the leaves brushed against the windowpane. It scratched across the glass and he sighed a little bit before focusing back on the ones that were before him as if he had almost forgotten their presence. "Ah this is also our first meeting so lets be sure to have a rowdy party and invite those who we deem worthy to our humble abode. I dare say if anyone wishes to set up such a little romp I'll give out the invites personally. Now unless anyone has anything to say, any plans to speak up about or and suggestions to get us more out there feel free to speak up now or forever remain silent. And with that this meeting is dismissed for conversation."

[align=center][div style="max-width: 360px; line-height:120%; font-family: calibri; font-size: 8.5pt; text-align: justify; margin-bottom:5px"][ ] ;; – It mattered not the few counted amongst their numbers, these once deemed trespassers seeking a place to deem their own – stole from her for first had she been present in these echoing halls. Yet she had held not this place, never its owner within the traditional sense of one being the sole holder of any structure, mere want all that drove her claim forth. Difficult had it been in those first days, time when she had merely stood by and watched as they took over this place that had been hers for so long now. She had seen it built, the first bricks laid as laughter had echoed about the enclosed valley, breath grown thin as each worker found their routine. And so too had she seen their demise, the structure and the minimal items they had been unable to take with them all that spoke of their presence.

These few were different then they, the gentle beat of pulse beneath skin like paper drawing her interest. Grown fuzzy was the memory of the day she had finally permitted the one deemed Matuah a chance to see her, nothing more then a slight glimpse and once more was she made nothing more then a spectre haunting these halls. More time had been necessary and so it had seemed nothing more then a game of cat and mouse, those amongst these few guessing at where she may next allow herself to be viewed.

Dark were the eyes that rose, found familiar a creature though nothing within the stocky frame he bore was an act of nature – or if it had been her touch, this lover and partner to their patron Death she had viewed him as nothing more then a joke. Brief the lift of smile upon the angular set to short muzzle, yet distinct was the lack of mirth within such. Curiosity was he, to such a point it became all too apparent she was present where he may be found. There had been no need for her to take a space her own, nothing but a waste for another, and so she merely wandered the wings and visited others when the desire found root. Many a night had been passed here, curled within a short distance from the slumbering Reaper, never close enough he may find her presence a disturbance but it was enough she may watch him in sleep.

Ghost was she, shadow behind his steps, though never did touch of paw find the surface of hall. Too great was the energy exerted within the solidification of the body presented, the sheen of grey fur about a body all too thin dull, grown translucent beneath the patches of light dancing across her. Near to the front Aeryn allowed herself to settle, body drawn close until the length of tail found itself wrapped about chest and throat, nose tucked into it. “Do not think you are going without me dear Mutu,” teasing drawl drown across tongue, mirth about each word. There was little which tethered her to this place, touched with the presence of life once more, a place theirs as it was never hers, but he was one who found her interest as no other had.

Gather information from the other clans and bring it here.  That sounded almost like spying, but also not the worth the risk at the same time.  For the names of those clans could bring some serious harm, those who lurked in the shadows mainly chose to stay in the shadows at least that was what Caedes thought.  The direwolf had had walked over towards the meeting picking up almost second to the last part of it.

There was something utterly against his social code, he was not friendly to strangers.  He bore the scars of them after all.  Hell to get him to smile at them without terrifying the daylights out of them would only make matters even more worse.  But very amusing to the direwolf, perhaps it would worth the shot to be polite, it was a step in the right direction.

He still found it to be very odd, but that was their purprose as a whole to gather infromation and bring it home to be used when it needed to be.  With a sweep of his tail, the direwolf stood with a almost somewhat skeptical and half mixed worried expression.

" And what if they the clans decide to attack or attempt to capture? Then what?" shocking himself as he spoke. He was probably one of the silent members in the group.

[align=center][div style="0px; width:450px; height:auto; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height:13px; color:lightgrey;"]He could never keep his eyes off the otherworldy figure of one whom was a ghost and yet living among mere mortals and immortals alike. She fascinated him and the Conclave was formed off of the principles of the after life, the very place that such spirits roamed. The Astral Plane. It was a hauntingly beautiful place and just because of that Aeryn was also hauntingly beautiful. Often times he would catch himself just staring at her figure, watching as body slowly became transparent and see through. Catching glimpses of her was still like a game for him and when she appeared before him oh the talks they would get into. Such an invigorating thing to talk to someone who was both here and not. The world as it was did not understand the darker meanings of life, the darkness that was there always lingering in all of them. Immortals too had this darkness rather they were angels, demons, vampires, wendigos. All dark and all seeking to know some sort of truth. He would find that truth. His violet gaze roamed over her or a moment, a slow smile forming before he gave a nod of certainty. "I would not have it any other way, my dear. To have you with me would be quite the honor."

Then his focused turned to a familiar direwolf. One whom he had pictured and learned for some time to come. Habits were habitual formed from day to day processes and he had watched and learned. Understood the direwolf before him but not enough to call him friend. Perhaps acquaintance would be better. Still as he watched the male turned his head to the side, picking up words of what ifs. Always what ifs. But they were not to be ignored for they had claim to the future just as could haves and should haves. Yes, indeed he understood what would need to be done and the look on his face said his answer. The way his eyes became so bright and focused, chilling in the waves of heated violet that they seemed almost mad. The ramblings of a mad man could be dangerous but the mutated hyena didn't see himself as mad, merely a philosopher in his own right. "Well, if they choose to break cordial terms and strike against us we will have no choice but to delve into the necessary evils of life. We shall strip them of everything if need be."

A madman was a madman who was blind to see that the results that they were planning and kept on planning on doing were what they would have thought was for the greater good was really a way to destroy themselves and others.  But Cae was not in anyways that brillant, but nor was he a fool.

there was something really unsettling about when Matuah looked at him, like as if the hynea was determined to reap whatever hidden truths that he hed within, which granted wasn't much to begin with. That was not a good answer even for anyone who was listening in.  Bobbing his head slightly, feeling his fur turn warm from asking such a question before hand.

So in response if they turn aggressive, return with the same force.  That was going to be proven to be hard on his fault, he may be huge and a force to reckon with but he was a softy. A massive softy.

[align=center][div style="max-width: 360px; line-height:120%; font-family: calibri; font-size: 8.5pt; text-align: justify; margin-bottom:5px"][ ] ;; – Suspended between, within each an extreme for no better a descriptor may touch upon the lips when speaking of such, these states upon opposite sides of the chessboard and yet complimentary. There may never be the other if one becomes lacking, cycle ever shifting and moving, rotation complete within the last exhale as it began with the first to fill lungs. And yet what of she, being caught in the entangled web spanning the space which left them upon either side, silver threads about her, clinging to skin that had not felt the heated touch of blood beneath for a great many centuries.

She was nothing, dust and ash caught upon the wind, slight moats swirling about with the influence of wind to push her forward. Or may she be a simple concept, abstract and strange, all too great for the mind as it was to hold her within its entirety. Possibly, though mind murmured of more, gave gentle reason for the unrest upon which this lonesome existence had been balanced, scale never tipped to either side – living or dead, she was both in her own ways, a thing of both though neither sought to claim her.

Draw of smile, crease of ashen toned cheeks as through it slipped gentle the sound of laughter, no small bell painted in the shining tone of silver rather it seemed cracked and echoing, scratching along the edge of conscious mind. Difficult was it to process each piece of her, glimmer of light catching upon structure of small paw as it lifted from where once it had been tucked amongst the folds of tail, yet within response slight had grown the body, nothing more then moats drawn together in structure of body. Easy may it be to regard the two as peas within a pod – it mattered not the line of thought as conversation grew ever expansive and difficult to follow, given threads more then it should ever bare, but such grew invigorating. Strange were the paths of his mind, thing touched with darkness yet within she found the glimmer of something more, a light which spoke of a man that once had been present before this one, never touched with the greed for knowledge.

Almost she found herself longing for this youth, to know the simple structure of his mind and see for herself the way it shifted and changed, felt the draw of power, consumed by want. Yet to loss the one before her, this being of immeasurable interest contained within shadowed halls and dead ends she had little hope of ever fully understanding, it would break a heart that had bore all too much. “The honour is mine.” Softened now, touched with gentle a tone of warmth.

Press of tongue against teeth, sound drawn from them one which marked the intrigue amongst thoughts. Though within the mind of the lupine question had soured, grown to a point it may be deemed idiotic, rather intelligent was it within that of the spectre. Was their place not to question and learn, gathering the information they so sought by any means necessary, such including questions that seemed trivial upon a skin based level. Slow was the shift of attention and all the softer was the curl of smile, uneasy as the edges of it proved to be, caught in contemplation for a time.
