it just stays shaking // atticus - radeken - 11-05-2018

It was slow work, getting back into the swing of things. Mostly this was because she had to ‘fix her room back up’, though it seemed relatively untouched aside from the fact that a great number of her hoarded pillows and blankets had gone missing. She was positively roiling with fury at that, as she always was when people took, touched, or even looked at her things. But, whatever. It was whatever. She would build her comfort collection back up in no time. The smell of her herbs, stale and faint mixed with the still-lingering ghost of all those scented candles and that incense she had burned. It all still stuck, her presence. As it should. She had taken a long, long nap (which was ultimately what ended up taking her so long, no fixing uo involved) in the room before leaving to go raise hell in her own slinking little way.

So, that’s where she was now, creeping through the observatory in pursuit of entertainment. She had been feeling abnormally social lately, and begrudgingly attributed this to the fact that, as a wolf, the urge to bond with a pack ran deep regardless of her temperament, behavior, and beliefs. Perhaps the stress of her months-long solitude was bringing it about from where it usually lurked pushed down deep under mounds of clinical cold and self-imposed isolation. Perhaps she was sick.

Radeken decided she was just bored. Even the best of us fall prey to that. It was quick, easy, and didn’t require her to analyze herself and her emotions for very long at all.

She turned the corner into the grand circle, hazily recalling a get-together she had hosted here ages ago. Ages upon ages. Radeken toyed with the idea of doing that again, only this time, the pruno would be spiked with something...entertaining. Her lip curled almost dreamily at the thought. A couple of shakes of something foul, a notebook, a cozy pillow to lay on while she recorded the results...fantastic. For the time being, though, she hovered in the circle near the base of the telescope, hawk-eyed and prepared to spring should someone interesting cross her sight.
