PICK OUT HER HEART // Titan - GORDON CIPHER. - 11-04-2018

Gordon's heart pounded in her chest as she followed the two NPC escorts that were leading her towards The Ascendant's camp. She was familiar with the place due to being a member here at one point, before she left, but of course she couldn't just waltz in here on her own. Especially not with the recent tension between Sunhaven and The Ascendants.
"Wait here." The voice of the NPC in front of her snapped her out of her thoughts and Gordon paused, blinking up at the feline before sitting back and dipping her head. "I'll fetch Titan for you." And with that, the NPC went off in search for their leader. The second NPC stood next to Gordon, as if to make sure she wasn't going to do anything.

As if she would. Gordon was smaller than your average feline due to having munchkin blood - plus, there was only one of her. She couldn't face a whole clan by herself. Not that she would even attempt anyway; she was a pacifist - a lover, not a fighter. It tore her heart to see the clans she loved in such turmoil and she wanted to end all of this. Marina won't like this... Gordon thought to herself, biting her lip as her gaze fell to her paws. Her leader was going to be furious, she knew, but she was doing this for the good of Sunhaven. At least, that's what Gordon convinced herself.

So Gordon waited for Titan to come, wrapping her tail as much as she could around her paws. Her ears were pinned back and she could feel the gazes of the members of The Ascendants who happened to be around at this time, wishing she were invisible. Please get here soon, She thought to herself, closing her eyes.

◜: *✧◞ Titan's stance on Sunhaven was not a good one. They had crossed the line multiple times, from border skirmishes to abducting their own members. For being a "peaceful trading hub", they sure were assholes ( for a lack of better word ). So, perhaps the Ascendants would overstep their own starry-eyed, neutral mentality and shove back if they were provoked once more.

The Astral Seraph had been alerted to the presence of a visitor — a Sunhavener. Narrowing his amber visionaries, he stepped out of his quarters and locked his steely hues onto Gordon.

His voice, frozen cold and monotonous as always, questioned, "What business do you have here?" He was tempted to add "and make it quick", just to deliver the point that he was not intending to be friendly towards a Sunhavener in any way, but he decided against it. Had this been that metal-legged fellow or the winged female that had attacked him, he would've been far more harsher in tone and in actions. Titan recognized this one as the rather timid, peaceful Sunhavener that had calmly addressed them at the border. He would do her a favor and spare her this once.

[align=center][div style="width: 500px; text-align: justify; font-family: Verdana; font-size: 12px; color;"]"I find it difficult to understand why you're here. You do know what the word 'enemies' means, correct?"

Her voice was nothing but a harsh murmur as she paused next to Titan, curiosity having prompted her to follow him in the first place. The cloaked snow leopard would draw an unimpressed gaze over Gordon, lips falling into a faint frown. Had Marina sent this timid creature, of all things, to talk of the tensions between their clans? Or was there something she was missing? Whatever the reason, Agathe couldn't help but feel as if she had a million other things to do- things that did not include entertaining some measly Sunhavener who she dwarfed in size.

Heaving a sigh, the astral seraph would steal a look at her coworker before taking a seat. She didn't look particularly excited to be here, but for the sake of keeping up to date, knew that her presence might be necessary. Or welcomed. Or both. She just hoped that Gordon had something worth their while to say- she wouldn't exactly be pleased if she didn't.

Re: PICK OUT HER HEAD // Titan - GORDON CIPHER. - 11-05-2018

The booming voice of Titan, of course, startled Gordon and her head quickly snapped up at the male approached and spoke to her. Titan's cold and montonous voice made the she-cat shiver, trying to ignore how hard her heart pounded in her chest. Could he smell her fear and worry? Probably. That was quite scary in of itself but Gordon tried to swallow the rising anxiety rising in her chest. Gordon opened her mouth to respond to The Ascendants's new leader when another person approached, her tone just as harsh as her coworker. Although Gordon had no idea who Agathe was, the female's words definitely held an air of authority.

"I-I do," Gordon answered Agathe quickly, shuffling her front paws as she spoke. "I-I, um. I want to t-talk about the situation b-between us." She tried explaining herself, words practically fumbling out of her mouth. "Marina didn't send me, sh-she doesn't even know I'm here, but I don't l-like the tensions between our two clans." Honesty didn't hurt in her opinion and was hoping it helped her in this case. "I-I was once a semi-high position h-here and-and it just... I-I don't want anything t-to happen to you or-or my clanmates in S-Sunhaven."

◜: *✧◞ Fear. Anxiety. Anyone with half a brain could pick up on how nervous the other was. Titan said nothing about this, however, and instead just concerned himself with seeing what Gordon was here for.

Was she here to... try and find a solution to the feud? Warn them against fighting? Solely express her concern for her former alliance? Titan inhaled deeply and turned his head away from her, mind buzzing with thoughts. "You're brave for coming here, you know." He murmured, staring blankly at the wall.

Then, he locked his gaze back onto Gordon. "And also foolish."

Titan took a step forward, looking down upon the smaller feline. "Are you hoping to single-handedly put an end to this war?" That was sure what it sounded like to him. Why else would she be fretting about the safety of the two clans? He frowned and said, "If only it were that easy, but... it's more complicated than that." It was very complicated indeed, especially compared to when the feud had just begun. It was now spiraling into a bigger problem than any of them wanted to deal with. Boy, Moon sure left them with a mess to clean up.

"You're certainly one of the more reasonable members of your clan, but unfortunately, they're reckless and rash and obviously unable to demonstrate self-control." Titan still maintained a steady tone, although his words were biting and stinging with ferocity. "If this conflict is going to end anytime soon, then we would need to talk to your leader personally. We would have to come to terms, set ground rules, work on easing tensions." That already sounded like a massive headache, and Titan doubted that it would happen anytime soon. The Ascendants were still bitter about the whole patrol scuffle. "Again, it isn't so easy."

shh i totally didn't just realize i wrote the title wrong

Gordon couldn't read Titan's thoughts, though if she knew he - and likely anyone else - could easily sense her nervousness and unease at being here, she probably would have tried to bolt. Gordon forced herself to look up at Titan as the male talked, holding her breath. His words were almost drawn out to her, almost as if he was talking slowly. Brave for coming here? She echoed his words in her mind, a little shocked at the comment. However, once Titan locked his gaze onto her's, she flinched a bit, biting her lip at his insult. Whenever he stepped forward, the Goldenblood let out a terrified squeak and tried scrambling backwards as much as she could, although the NPC that was watching over her blocked her way. Once again, Gordon was aware of her heart pounding in her chest and could feel more pressure building in her chest as the leader talked. "I-I-I just thought -" She began to stammer out when Titan mentioned her trying to stop the war by herself, though was silenced whenever he quickly went on. "I-I don't know what Marina is-is expecting from you guys, b-but I don't think she wants a war between the both of us." At least, that's what Gordon was telling herself.

Gordon wrapped her tail around her paws and subconsciously started gently kneading at it with her front paws. It was a way to comfort her, even if that wasn't... entirely working right now. "If-if you guys just talked, I'm-I'm sure things would be much smoother." She hadn't been here whenever Marina and Buckingham had visited and had no idea what had happened to cause her to be so angry at The Ascendants, so she wouldn't even know what the solution could be in the first place. "J-just if you do talk to her, m-maybe not mention me?" The munchkin tried giving both Titan and Agathe a sheepish smile, practically admitting to going against her leader's orders and beliefs (even if it was obvious).
