OH MISTY ISLE - open; rains - rhosmari - 11-03-2018

The wind had been kicking up all day, shifting what leaves that still stuck to the branches of trees. It couldn’t be said that it was a pleasant wind as it tugged and pulled at her pelt as if trying to drag her around the ground. Despite this the woman and decided to go about her daily routine and she tried not to worry about the coming story. After all it couldn’t be that bad and Sunhaven seemed to have a variety of storms that came and went so why bother worrying now. As the woman slept through the night her ears twitched as the sound of her shutters banged against the walls and the glass shuddered in her windows. At one point she actually woke up because of the howling of the wind before falling back into a rather fitful sleep.

The next day came and she allowed a yawn to part we muzzle, body shuddering as she stretched out her form and dragged her claws against her bed. The sound of pounding rain met her hears and she frowned a bit before she got out
of her bed and looked out the window. It was an absolute downpour of sheeting rain that was going sideways because of the strong guests of wind. The river was starting to swell and already water was washing over the boardwalk as far as she could see. That was never a good sign but she didn’t think it would get much worse. Shoving open her door the wind pushed hard against her and she hissed as she stepped out into the cold deluge of water that instantly soaked her thick pelt. She needed to reel in her nets or risk losing them as so she grasped one in her teeth and started to haul it up, only to almost get pulled into the surf because of the strength of the waves. ”Crap. Come on....” The hellhound hissed between her teeth as she jerked at the net.

SUNHAVEN — DAWNGUARD — FEMALE — BORDER COLLIE — PLAYED BY KICKSIE

[div style="text-align: justify; width: 50%; font-family: georgia; font-size: 11pt; letter-spacing: -1px; margin-top: -15px;"]The storm had been raging on all night, yet Bex was still somehow able to sleep through it as if she were dead. She was a heavy sleeper, yes, but it was beginning to get to the point where she was concerned for herself. When the collie stretched out her paws and stepped outside, she was beyond shocked to find how severe the rain was. She knew it was a little windy the day before, but she never imagined it would get this bad. After all they lived in a place called Sunhaven, shouldn't it be sunny all the time? Bex knew that she probably shouldn't have dismissed the signs of the upcoming storm, but then again, she never liked to think ahead.

Groaning, the female stepped outside into the rain, shuddering as her fluffy pelt became drenched in only a matter of seconds, but she did her best to ignore the coldness that it brought and moved forward. She headed to where Marina stood, and tilted her head as she watched the hellhound. "Marina?" Bex questioned as she attempted to shake her pelt of water, wondering what the other was doing out in the storm. But then again, she could ask Bex the same exact thing. The helion seemed to be struggling with pulling in nets, and once the canine realized this, she shook her head.

"This storm is insane! I usually don't mind a little rain, but this is something else," she grumbled, nearing closer to the other female. "Here, let me help you," she then grabbed onto a net and tried to pull it up, but also began to struggle. Damn, this is hard, she thought to herself, but didn't plan on quitting. She wasn't too worried about getting pulled in by the waves, but she typically didn't worry about anything anyways. She was only trying to be helpful, and perhaps the situation allowed her to be a little reckless.

This was monsoon weather,  seven seasons of hell. Lucky for Marina and Bex for been high enough to walk and get soaked, fin was drenched from top to bottom.  The feline gritted their teeth, the ground was getting slick with mud, and they were slipping for sure. Forcing themselves to march in the sludge, they made their way towards the two. " Why is it raining in November?! It shouldn't be raining this much!" they asked having to project their voice over the loud drum of the rain plattering against the ground.

Oh yes they were going to have a warm towel, and hot tea after this madness.  They just hoped that there was no rivers anywhere near the camp, for it was swollen.

Leona's reaction was the same as Fin's. What in the sam hell was causing it to rain in November? She didn't mind a little shower, but this was a downpour, and could cause health concerns. The Solbinder approached after the other feline, giving a twitch of her reptilian tail as she surveyed the scene to be sure it was safe to join the three. It looked like Marina could use some assistance. It was good timing really, since the mutant had nothing to do right at the moment.

Making her way over and casting a cautious glance at the vampire, the medic would try to help Marina with the net by tugging with her jaws. Hopefully they had enough man power to pull it out in time. Marina worked too hard to just lose all her nets in one go.

"This rain needs to stop." The white feline commented between tugs, hoping to lighten the mood.

Fin took notice of the side glance they got, they were too cold and wet to care.  They wanted to be out of the rain, this rain would lead to their death, many and many people would be glad of it.  They were starting to shiver in response to it, it was so wet and cold. " Aye I agree.... I miss the sun as of right now..." they murmured helping out as well.

[div style=" background-color: transparent; border: 0px solid black; width: 550px; min-height: 9px; font-family: arial; line-height: 109%; text-align: left; padding: 20px;font-size: 12px;"][align=right]and you say ive lost my light —

cold and unnerved venus woke up in a fright to the sounds of the outside world ruthlessly abusing the windows of their lab, gusts mustering up strength to cause a clatter that rang throughout the entirety of sunhaven. venus shuddered in the sudden chill that ran down their spine. craning over their shoulder, arms still waking up and sprawled on the desk, sapphire gaze caught sight of the chaos erupting outside with a perturbed visage. mother nature wasn't so happy today was she? as the kitsune slowly arose from their chair, wood creaking underneath weight now adding to the pressure building upon the building's very foundations, venus walked over towards the windowsill. it was like a tragedy ripped straight from a romantic novella, the brutality of the winds ripping plant from root and upturning some of venus' crops - something the kitsune couldn't help but frown at. all that time and effort, gone. venus detested the weather's fickle nature.

gathering the strength and courage to step outside and inspect the extent to which nature decided to wreck havoc among the residents of sunhaven, venus was surprised to see so many already doing the exact same thing. had venus woken up much later than everyone else? it wouldn't surprised the teen terrible much - they were a pretty heavy sleeper. never the less, venus swiftly huddled their body into a ball and ran comically towards the quartet already gathered and trying valiantly to save whatever the wind decided to rip apart with debatable success. "what are you guys talking about? huh? i thought it was absolutely lovely weather we are having here, couldn't tell we weren't in the bahamas." biting through the pellets of rain assaulting their face like mini bullets from hell, venus let good-natured sarcasm seep into their words.

eyeing up the rising water levels, venus recoiled at the thought of the water rising to level which would eventually breach their humble abode and drown every book in venus' possession. it wasn't anything grand, venus already had to start from scratch after leaving tanglewood, but it would be heart-wrenching to have to start again, again. frivolous, venus feared losing hope that they would ever be able to have something so trivial such as a stable home. "this water.. it has to go somewhere, we should be prepping our homes for a flash flood. and our crops, if they're not already torn to shreds." benefits of such a low lying town were about to be flipped on its head, become the haveners' worst nightmares.

CRYPTICWHISPER is an Angeli Divine, in the form of a 5ft Angeleon - he is of the exceedingly rare 'black Ichor' caste of which only a theorised handful exist [mine].
Currently he resides in Sunhaven and is considered 'fallen' by his divine brethren for his renegade status as their once ex-general. Aura and abilities are black-purple as is signature to black Ichor caste. Wears silver-black 'black star' armour & wields the Eclipse Sword.

There are many places in the world where november is known as the flooding month" a smooth voice cuts in from behind the two - Cryptic's shadow falling across them as the armoured great cat looks out over the rain and hums quietly.

"Venus however is correct - we should collect valuables, supplies and anything else deemed important and move to higher ground" at this his gaze flickers to Marina for her assessment on that - after all, it only takes a day of rain to build the water up enough to bust banks and wreck homes.

and given this storm seems much more erratic, well he knows this'll be the outcome.

Ichigo had dealt with a fair share of his own bad weather over the years that he had been alive. Bad weather usually didn't mean that one would have to leave the likes of a territory or have to worry about their own survival. Ichigo had heard about groups staying with other groups during times of horrible conditions before they would return back and see what the damage that had been done to their home. The clan that Ichigo had lead never really had that problem before and the wildcat had no reason to think that this place was going to have terrible weather anytime soon either. Ichigo already hated the ocean enough and did his best to try and avoid the boardwalk as much as possible. The clan that he had once lead also left near the ocean, and they never had to deal with anything drastic. And if they did, it would probably only last a couple of days before disappearing completely. The Shinigami knew that they had also been busy dealing with other threats that were in the area rather than mother nature itself. After the issue with all the ghosts that were walking around, the Shinigami figured that everything would settle down for a little bit before everything went to shit again. Ichigo had a feeling that with all the sudden disappearance of the ghosts, it could stem to a larger evil spirit to come looking for something to eat, and he knew that he was on the menu. He also knew that his granddaughter was on the menu as well if he continued to remain too close to her, but he had yet to see the other since the last time he was around the Typhoon. At least he believed that to be the place, he was terrible when it came to names usually. His body was almost completely perfect dealing with different kinds of weather, rain, snow, and cold weather included. He didn't mind being completely drenched, as it was more of a slight annoyance than anything.

Although, if anyone had half of a mind, they would know that standing in the rain was a quick way of getting sick. The wildcat didn't think that it would be common for the likes of him to have a regular illness, as the last time he had been sick he had been infected with an evil spirit of sorts. Now he wasn't dealing with that anymore and was surviving in a place that he wasn't really ready to call home yet. He still barely knew anyone that was around. The swordsman made sure to stay away from the boardwalk, or the entire ocean itself. No one would even be remotely capable of getting him near it even if they tried. He flicked the black tip of his tail as he listened to the rain hit his armor. He would occasionally stop to take shelter underneath a tree, as he wasn't about to dare go up to the mountains. He hated the mountains. Ichigo did like to check up near the boardwalk in case anything needed to be done during the breaks that he took with training. It only took him a couple minutes walking through muddy and half sunken grass to make his way toward the ocean and realize that it wasn't all as great as it seemed. Oh. That didn't look very good now, did it? Ichigo began to quicken his pace, noticing familiar souls that were off in the distance, before stopping near the edge of the structure, and remaining a good distance from the water still. At least he was close enough to hear other's talking and close enough for others to hear him as well. From the looks of it, the structure could potentially fall at any moment and he doubted anyone wanted to be inside when that happened. "Maybe building on the ocean wasn't the best of ideas. Everyone should get ready to move in case these places collapse." Ichigo called over toward the group. God, why did his one fear of the ocean seem to be growing even worse with each passing day?
