Breathe Axle, breathe. Normally the male's subconscious reminders were void of their own voice, but as he traipsed across the Sunhaven's borders, horrid thoughts grew. For some time the Heeler had been alone, primitive instincts of 'fight or flight' returning as he eyed up distant figures of mingling clanmates and foes alike. Though not daring enough nor cruel enough to storm over and disturb the peaceful interactions everyone seemed to be having, his honey coloured eyes still cast the meanest of glares towards them. The Guardsman was watching as he walked, waiting for any signs of distress on the faces of acquaintances to justify his racing heart and flattened ears. Sand seeping between his paws was a grim reminder of his capture by the hands of the Pitt among other, albeit ancient, grievances. He was going to die if he stayed here, but with a mountain range devoid of good prey (the goats were too vicious for him), what choice did the male have but to stray further into the belly of the beast?

With knowledge of the group's geography near non-existent, Axle figured the best place to go for food would be the shoreline. Crabs would surely scutter along, maybe a jellyfish or other unlucky creature would be washed up when the tide was at its lowest. His stomach growled painfully, causing the Cattle Dog to break out into a jog, being sure to avoid civilisation as best as he could. Should he be cornered between the ocean and these potential threats, the male realised he'd have to swim to safety... how long would that take? Would it be worth trapping himself? He snorted to himself - risks had to be taken. The sand underneath his pads growing soggy, the Heeler realised he was standing on the aforementioned shoreline now, thoroughly distracted by his racing mind. Narrowing his eyes, Axle started to pace along the ocean's edge, looking for glimpses of red or other vibrant colours that indicated life.
