THE MAN I USED TO BE / return - COSMIIX - 11-02-2018 His ears twitched, the servalline's glowing pools would survey the area wondering if this is where everyone had moved after the mansion was set ablaze. He didn't even dwell on the memory, his lover had yet again disappeared and by now, Kunta had given up the moment the gift he had given her burnt in his grasp right before his eyes. He hadn't even moved from their room, he stood there hearing his leader telling everyone to evacuate, when it finally clicked to him that it was time to go did the God get burnt a few times. He was angry, cold, and back to square one where he had first began. Eventually, he managed to shift into a form that wasn't as burnt as his birth body and that's when he began his search for the Rosebloods. He was sure that he'd find them without much of a problem especially with the wings he now possessed though it seemed he refused to even lift himself into the air itself. His pawpads had grown from all the walking, he was sleep deprived, and clearly famished. Justice finally mustered enough patience to ask a stranger and not let his arrogance lead him the wrong way, the stranger would nod in the direction of a desert. Huh, another forest. He thought they might have learned from the first experience that forests were very much flammable yet this didn't seem to deter him. Finally finding some leftover energy, Justice would spread his wings slowly and flapped them in order to lift himself off of the ground. Once he succeeded in doing so would the male make his way forward with all four of his eyes attentive. He landed within the bounds of the territory before his long ears would swivel in a few directions to catch any noises, his nose twitching. Justice let out a soft breath only to stare down at his talons for a moment, his scars were now visible to the world due to his tigers skin being burnt within the fire. All that was left of him was himself. No one to rely to or any items to wear. The God twitched his whiskers speaking in an almost robotic voice "Kunta, returning." It was monotonous and frank, he needn't say anything else. Re: THE MAN I USED TO BE / return - galexiux - 11-02-2018 Gwendoline had to admit, watching this giant creature waltz up to their territory (oh sure he could fly but she couldnt?!). It was huge! It had four eyes! What animal even was it? A cat? A dog? She couldn't even tell. She sometimes wished creatures could be simpler, though... she supposed then it would be even harder to tell everyone apart. ... maybe it was a good thing? Wait... she was going on a tangent again. Right. She was supposed to be terrified right now. The bird pulled her wings close to her chest, covering her white spots as she hid in the dark brush of foliage littering the forest floor. She normally loved to greet guests to this place (not quite understanding the whole.... border thing) but this was just-.... scary. This thing towered over her! What would she do if it decide to at-- .... Rejoining? The... C-cat... had been here before? When? Did she miss that part? Gwen took a deep breath, using her beak and talons to climb up into the tree she had been hiding by. Once she was situated in the lower branches, she spoke. W-who are you? Her voice wavered. Even with her new found confidence, she was still afraid. She hadn't been this afraid of other creatures before. What was her problem..? Perhaps it was the four eyes. Or perhaps it was the dark and mysterious nature. Whoever this creature was, he didn't exactly seem happy or content like Sephy or Juji was when she met them. "SPEECH" Re: THE MAN I USED TO BE / return - purgatory - 11-02-2018 If you asked Koda how his day was going, he'd write 'good.' Everything to him was good. And why shouldn't it be? Right now, we're not going to include the identity crisis and focus on the positives - he really, desperately wanted to focus on the positives. The fluffy child was able to climb halfway up a tree today. It didn't seem like much but it was an achievement for him considering he's on the chubby side. He'd argue it's baby fat but he and everyone could guess that wasn't the only case. Later on in the day, he was able to successfully stalk a bird and only get pecked at twice thanks to his quick reflexes that allowed him to dive into the safety gnarled tree roots. Amidst the furious squawks and flapping wings, he licked his wounds clean as he waited for the avian to get tired of him. Alright, so maybe calling it "successful" is a bit of a stretch. After tending to his small scrapes, he scampered back to camp where he drew a lot in his notebook. Pictures of trees and flowers and his roguemates. They weren't good pictures but he did his best despite wanting to give up midway and that's all that matters, he suppose. If he genuinely wanted to get better, he'll practice more but for right now, more than draw, he wanted to sleep. Without moving from his position off to the side of camp, the snow leopard slept. And it was a fantastic nap. He didn't remember what he dreamt about but it was decent enough for him to awake energetic once more. After an hour or two, the cub's eyes fluttered open and a large yawn passed through their maw, their bight blue orbs tearing up slightly. Heaving himself to his paws, Koda stretched first his forearms then his hind legs before picking up his pen and notebook. Turning, the drowsy male abruptly decided to explore the territory. He'll make sure to apologize properly to the bird he antagonized should he come across it again. He came across a creature with wings, but it wasn't a bird. Large paws first carried him to Gwen when he spotted her in the distance, wondering if she wanted to go exploring with him. But as he drew closer, he noticed a larger form before her that previously sleepy, now wide awake eyes identified as another creature. A creature named Kunta who was a returning member. His child-like brain told him to be scared, to grab Gwen and run as fast as he could back to camp where they'd be safe. But Pestilence kept him grounded and level-headed. I've seen more frightening. He thought to himself solemnly only to blink his eyes in confusion. Where has he seen scarier? He'd definitely remember and lose sleep over it but he was drawing a blank. Rizer and Talyn doesn't count since they were his siblings- though he suppose they were terrifying in their own right. And upon meeting them, Koda was met with a sense of familiarity; Kunta wasn't accompanied by this feeling. Swallowing hard, he slowly approached the two though sticking close to Gwen. Setting down his notebook, he forced his arm not to tremble as he wrote down a greeting. "Welcome back, Kunta! I hope I spelled your name right," he then drew a feline face with a sweat drop next to the sentence before continuing below it. "I'm Maekoda but you can feel free to call me Koda!" Clicking his pen to retract the tip, he held it up for him to read as he smiled faintly. [align=center]✯ "speaking" / "writing" ✯ Re: THE MAN I USED TO BE / return - COSMIIX - 11-02-2018 Returning. Justice's ears twitched at the sight of the avian, the four eyed beast would snort through his nostrils hearing her question of who he was. "You'll hear soon enough," He didn't like to fucking repeat himself and frankly it wasn't his fault that the avian only paid heed to the fact he was returning but not his name. Interesting how the arrogant adolescents were raised nowadays, the serval would lift up a paw to glance down at his raw pawpads "Is there a medic? Someone whose useful," His whiskers twitched for a brief moment yet his eyes found themselves locked onto a new face did the servalline twitch his ears briefly reading over what the cub had written. Ah, now this one was observant and actually paid attention unlike the bird but he honestly didn't suspect a talking prey animal to know much or let alone have a greater attention span than a goldfish. Justice was often kinder to younger clanmates but he still held a bitterness within his heart though his gaze softened for a moment before he would speak with a slow nod of his horned cranium "It's a pleasure to meet you, Koda." He liked this child, they were tolerable. Justice didn't even bother looking back to the avian, no, not worth his time. It was just another damned bird meant for simplistic activities such as bird watching. A poor choice in activities but he supposed that he'd let any simpleton do it if they sought joy from this activity. His whiskers twitched as he grunted "So whose still around? Prestige? Pey? Hm?" This question seemed to be more directed to the snow leopard cub than the bird, his whiskers twitched as he released a soft breath. Closing his bottom eyes, the God would use his talons to pinch at the bridge of his nose, he was already getting a damn headache. He just wanted to see where the hell they lived and get some well deserved rest. There was no point in "who are you" or any other questions that followed the latter. This was so frustrating. A different dose of pain split through his burning chest and down his spine with every step. He was supposed to be resting, letting himself heal, taking it easy. He hated it. He’d come to a new Rosebloods than the one he knew previously as a mere baby. He escaped here from the ridiculous threat of an assassin who was out to get him of all people for causing a little trouble and stealing a few things. He knew hardly any creature in the Rosebloods by name, let alone at any personal level. Except Jiyu. Jiyu was his mother and while they’d been apart for some time (partially due to his fault of walking out), he wouldn’t forget that. He was trying his best to make up for the time missed between them. Fright Seraphim was out and about. No way in hell was he sticking to the confines of the main base like a baby. So what he was injured, he could handle himself for a leisure stroll in the territory. The pure white serval child forgot his chest injury when he came upon a few of his comrades and someone else of interest. A returning member. That was how he understood it. He wanted to say ‘hi’ or try to make better friends with the little snow leopard and the bird, especially since they seemed young, in body at least. But the Seraphim boy looked away to the returner with a sudden bout of anxiety surrounding the notion of making any friends. The four eyed serval who was much older than he was called for a medic and with a huff, the child revealed himself and crawled out of the undergrowth on his slightly unsteady mechanical paws. ”I can heal. I wouldn’t ignore just any request for assistance,” Fright replied levelly in his western drawl, his ears perked and lurid green eyes darting in a way that was almost playful to Kunta. It was true. He did like to help but he wasn’t any sort of official medic but he’d been plenty reputable in his past lives. ”I...haven’t seen Prestige,” he paused over the name, uncomfortably remembering the old member from when he was barely able to walk on his own paws,”Truthfully, I only know Sephiroth and Jiyu personally. I just got back here a day ago. Name’s Frightfur and welcome back, sir.” He wasn’t much help but this was way more interesting than sitting on his ass waiting for a wound to heal. A familiar face. Sephiroth would approach the scene of Kunta’s return, moving through the crowd to eye up the mutated form. The male would watch unblinking, tilting his platinum framed skull ever so slightly. ”It’s been a while. Welcome back.” He remembered Kunta from when he first joined the Rosebloods, and had wondered where they had been since they left the old territory. Well, now they were back. The lion would dip his head in a greeting, polite and professional and everything else he had proven to be.”..I haven’t seen Pey in a while. Prestige is dead.” Yep. Blunt. He would say ‘wherabouts unknown’ but after seeing the bits of Pres’s fur in the teeth of a mighty dragon he figured there wasn’t much to be recovered at that point. Sephiroth would lift his head up, not letting emotion waver in his voice in either direction. ”I am now Lord of the Rosebloods, and this is our new territory.” A simple rundown of what had happened recently. Just as he wanted. |
