✦ Maisie Perdita│ female [she/her]
✦ ghost │ ageless
✦ typhoon
✦ member

Physical::
✦ small ✦ misty ✦ quiet ✦ lovely ✦ ethereal ✦
✦ sand cat
-- Maisie is an extremely small sand cat and makes hardly any noise as she walks. She is often shrouded in a mist and it can be difficult to tell whether she's truly there or not, as though she's straddling two separate worlds. Unlike a normal sand cat, her eyes are an extremely soft blue and, beneath her mist, her fur is a lighter hue than the usual light brown of her species. She seems to nearly be drifting in and out of existence, each movement filled with light and mist.
-- Injuries: none
✦ Belongings:
-- none, although she's often seen carrying flowers

Personality::
✦ compassionate ✦ lonely ✦ loyal ✦ hopeful ✦ lost ✦
✦ On the surface, Maisie is a kind soul who seems intent to do whatever good she can. However, the woman seems to carry the heavy weight of her past and rarely speaks about her centuries of experience. She seems especially sad when confronted with the ocean. If she's staying anywhere near a large body of water, she will often go and sit outside it, appearing to wait for someone or something. Being a ghost, she rarely sleeps, but when she does she's often plagued by night terrors. Maisie believes in defending the weak and is more likely to speak up for someone else than she would for herself. Growing up with traditional morals, she has a strong moral compass and is determined to protect it. Despite this, she often finds herself among company that holds very little, if any, morals, and this is because she believes they're the ones who need her the most. She also believes that there are times and places where the rules must be bent or broken to do what is ultimately good and she believes that many people are forced into immoral circumstances. She knows what it is to be lonely and she never wants anyone to feel that way so she does her best to take care of all who cross her path.

When in a chipper mood, Maisie can be playful and seems to thrive in sarcasm. Despite her stately appearance and demeanor, she's more than willing to relax around a group of friends and isn't afraid to call out injustice or wrongdoing when she sees it. Her stubbornness often leads to trouble, although a good way to break this is to personally attack her character or beliefs. Maisie struggles to claim her own identity after spending four years in Bedlam, an asylum in the early 1800s. She often questions whether her own feelings hold any merit and often invalidates them, therefore not seeking the help she probably needs. She questions nearly every decision she makes, wondering if, perhaps, even after all this time, the people that wanted her in Bedlam were right.

✦ Maisie likely had mild depression when she entered Bedlam, although it worsened over time.

✦ she has invisibility and intangibility
✦ easy physically, easy mentally
