march of progress || ambassadors needed - ghostpact - 11-01-2018
After careful consideration, Moonshadow decided he would not be one to participate in whatever it was his sister wanted these so-called ambassadors to do. He was not fond of leaving the safety of this forest, though that safety was being compromised everyday now by the outsiders. Maybe he could be considered a bit paranoid and over doing it, but you couldn't teach an old dog new tricks. At least, not this old dog. But what he could do was be a good magus and order people around as the title allowed him to do so. So, he had his sister write down the groups she wanted to get word to and made his way out to the middle of camp. He wasn't going to use the tree for this business, it wasn't even his place to do so. It wasn't super important, either, not in his obscure opinion. "I need volunteers for this emissary program we'll be setting up. A way to get ourselves out there to our potential allies and to form any future collaboration with them. Anyone willing to make a visit to..." he paused a moment to squint at the paper under his paws. "Tanglewood or The Typhoon? Please step forward and announce your interest. I will explain further if necessary." The dire wolf sat back and waited, then. He wore his same, neutral-almost-annoyed expression, not looking or sounding too thrilled about this. I'M A LOSER; IF NOTHING, HOWLING INTO THE NIGHT IS JUST FINE
Ambassadors . . . Whoa, that sounded cool and, well, fun! Maybe he would get to know some people, make friends or, best of all, maybe he could get a protege to follow in his footsteps! The mere thought of getting someone to be his little protege was, quite frankly, exciting and so one could only wonder how Augustus reacted to Moonshadow's announcement. The mousy brown tom had simply been in the area, looking for some small and insignificant things for his next big project when he heard the dire wolf speak. Seafoam green eyes blinking wide, he begins walking over at a leisurely pace and when the male got to the topic of visiting clans . . . oh, did he run.

He skids to a stop before the other, tail wavering back and forth repeatedly like that of a dog, a big smile on his face. "I'd love to be an ambassador!" The Augur says, "It doesn't really matter where I go . . . but maybe Tanglewood? Never heard of that place - it sounds exciting, for sure!" He readjusts his messy bow-tie, eyes sparkling with that endless enthusiasm as he rambles on exuberantly. "I can totally win them over with how smart I am - they'll think everyone else is smart here too!" Wait. "Uhm . . . not that any of you aren't smart, hm." Re: march of progress || ambassadors needed - teef - 11-03-2018 [align=center] [color=white] to be an ambassador... kade had found it hard to settle into the home of this group, aware of all the eyes that stayed on her or stole to her flashing pelt when she walked by. a chance to get out and bring others, more newcomers, reached a lost part of her heart, stirring a hopefulness. maybe by some chance she could find a family member that had survived the fire ... shaking her head the tigress walked over, bright ice-cold baby blues glued to augustus and moonshadow, tail swinging as the recently healed cultivator made her way over. she didnt speak, and always had an air of indifference around her, so it was a bit of a shock to see her approach the dire wolf, dipping her head in greeting, "I would ... like to be ... considered..." her voice was steady and words precise, not saying more than she needed to, voice sounding like a smoker's. That was possibly the easiest thing he'd done so far as magus. The dire wolf looked over the two, completely ignoring whatever it was that Augustus continued chatting about. Moonshadow didn't care one way or the other how these two planned to go about their assignments, as long as they did them. Kade, on the other hand, was probably perfect for any sort of job because she got to the point and didn't fool around with nonsensical discussion. It was probably the first good quality of an outsider he might admit to appreciating. "Good. Augustus, you take Tanglewood. Kade, you have The Typhoon. For this first visit, introduce who we are and what we're about. Mention the possibility of alliances, but don't push it. We don't want to dive into this without really scoping out who they are and what they have to offer. I suspect they'll wish to speak to a higher up about it, anyway." As he spoke, his eyes moved back and forth to keep contact with the two of them. There was a pause of silence after the initial information he gave, then his gaze turned to a glare as he focused on Augustus. "Represent us well or I'll find a replacement." His mouth twitched and he gave a dry smile. [b]"Anyway. I think my sister mentioned something about... gift baskets. But we'll talk more about that after this first contact." Re: march of progress || ambassadors needed - teef - 11-05-2018 [align=center] [color=white]kade remained silent and still as he spoke, taking in the information quietly, rolling it about in her mind. "if well received ... may we invite ... the higher parties?" she questioned slowly. the recovery of one's voice was a long and arduous journey once it had been ravaged by war. her gaze shifted to augustus, taking in the small tom with some interest. she could smell ghosts on him, amusing her as judged by the relaxation of her shoulders. turning back to moonshadow with a last important question, "missive?" she croaked, eyes holding onto the dire wolf. if they were going into a larger group's territory they had best have a slip from the head of recondite realm to show that their intentions were honest invitations and not calling for invasion or war. |
