100 pound regent to a 1 ton princess / ghost - EXODUS-- - 10-31-2018

[div style="width: 200px; overflow: auto; width: overflow: auto; font-family: timesnewroman; text-align: justify; max-height: 400px; "]it was midnight when reality began shaking itself apart.

cloaked in silvery shadows, under the wisp of calm ebony darkness and the strands of starlight’s luminescent, velvet and loving touch, there was a prick of sensation. a so subtle-- yet glaring red and hot like a flare shivering beneath exodus's skin. the beacon for something both aweful and terrifying at once.

ghosts were a thing of reality, despite their ghastly repute. they were the boogeymen. things of fiction and imagination--tales woven and spun like a web with a sense of wonder into the fine air. tales to keep the kids alert in the shrouded, oppressive cloak of night and the children obedient and subdued.

ghosts were stories from the mind. fantasies. and not meant to be anything more.

but they were oh so very real, and yet exodus had never been gifted with such superstition. shr had seen pillars of flame igniting from nowhere with creatures wielding wicked abilities. had seen her mother, the thesis of power, she'd her scales anew to herald another vessel of sable night.

here in this world, the supernatural existed. exodus knew it. knew it like the grooves in her rough feet, and the umber feathers that adorned her frame with love. earthen, as she was always meant to be.

in the ominous darkness, exodus sensed it. could feel the fisson that trembled betwixt her spine. it called to her-- fierce like an unquenchable lick of heat and tugged at her heart, feeding into the wild sense of urgency. it whispered to her, pulling her from the den of bones and feather, lovingly guiding her till something bright and inexplicable crooned in her heart that this was right.

exodus wholly succumbed to this pull, for it was something far more than impulse. this was

fate.

it was with no hesitation that she slipped from the nest, leaving behind the warm body of her siblings. felt the familiar sand underneath that she had learned to travel upon with ease sliding underneath jaded toes-

and vanished into the belly of the jungle.

bathed in the lunar’s warm and loving glow, she danced amongst moon-dappled foliage and atop dew laden grass. felt the earth humming about her, and the litany of distant insects as they called towards one another.
something was waiting for her. she knew. with each step forward, she was drawn towards it, helpless to it's magnitude. a power far more tremendous than she could ever hope to understand.

the night air breathed carefully against exodus’s frame. the grass of the jungle was tepid underfoot, the air teeming with otherworldly forces beyond time and space that had split cracks into reality. made existence it's plaything and shattered it.

perhaps it was the work of something far greater than she could ever hope to understand.

keen, cunning eyes spotted it. the lone figure in the distance, warding away the darkness like an angel with a faint sheen that had made her vessel tremble and shudder, long before she seen it up close.

what exodus had bore witness to made her breath catch, hung in the space in her lungs and strangled.

exodus knew the laws and rules of her reality-- thought she knew it. there were many things that graced this earth that she, within her primal heart, could not comprehend. things that she had yet to witness with feral eyes.

this was a creature long gone. dictated to be extinct by the order of the timeless universe. soul swept away. forgotten to the endless march of history, it's legacy defiled by the ensuing footsteps of the callous, uncaring newer generations trampling upon it, swept away with fresh sands of age.

exodus is a shadow of this glorious being dashed by the hands of time. and yet she is also an advancement. a refined being, built for destiny with the souls of the old and their signing, innate knowledge crafted into her being. a gift left behind to further their legacy. something old burrowed into something knew.

she will be the next one to engrave their feats in the annals of her species history with a wicked claw like a pen, tipped and gilded in the ink of victory and feral knowledge.

before her citrine gaze of molten dusk stood a hazy, ethereal form of a being long passed from this plane, caught in a faint, achromatic sheen. sickle claw and all, head held high and mighty. transcendent in every way. revived from the grave with an unstoppable stare to make those caught in the tangles of it's gaze rend with fear. luminescent, primal eyes glimmered with the unrivaled, ancient, endless well of wisdom and shook exodus her to the very core.

so out of this world and yet so very right. right to her in every way, in a way she could never describe.

the deities of time had breathed life into this ancient, profound creature to traverse the earth once more. this time in spirit.

It was a revenant. a relic from a time long past. an age of blood and teeth. beyond time itself. a time where ancient beasts roamed, dripping with wrath to rival the gods. the place of her origin, where it all began. She felt the resonation, raw, settle deep into her archaic bones, jarring her back to this world.

and now it sat here, beyond comprehension. it came from a time from yonder, breathing silently in a world where life was far more bitterly fragile compared to the things the earth had once seen. a being out of it's time. given another chance to dwell amongst the living.

from the past, now present. from an eternity of legacies, generations that parted to make way for her own kind.

before such a mighty monster, she felt truly like the child she was. the realization was like a frigid wave of water slamming into her frail body.

this was what she could be-- what she was meant to be from the beginning. glory she was meant for. avarice and longing curling within her gut all at once, like a flame. longing for something so hopelessly beyond her reach; a cluster of intangible desires, untouchable like the sliver of silver stars above her, cool and calm. she feels as if she will never be able to reach out and curl those wicked talons over this glory. she needs it now. wants it now. a feverish ache settles low in her chest, humming.

this archaic menace bathed in glory... she basked in it, drunk it in greedily. eyes swimming with irreplaceable awe and insational, hot red greed.

there is thunder underneath her ribcage, settling into her heart, fine tuned like golden wires.

she does not question the presence of the primordial beast any longer, because her mind roils and oh is it tumultuous like the sea. the forces of nature has exerted it's will upon the quivering fabric of space to grant her the chance to meet this ancestor, and that is all she needs to know.

the elder's impossible eyes shone upon her likewise, twinkling, agelesd stars holding her with blistering regard and a million thoughts unvoiced. it was like a lash of lighting; untamed gaze that went beyond the calculating meticulousness of her alpha. exodus was trapped beneath that rightful gaze. as if caught in a storm. perhaps she was.

they did not need to share any words. none were needed. he silently called her to olden duty of terrible lizards, and she followed. there was a sacred knowledge, a wisdom that needed to be shared.

both new and old trekked as one into the jungle. filled with an icy clarity that sweetly ignited the cluster of nerves within her form. made her run cold and hot like burning. a bright flare that makes her whole body just come alive.

she runs astride an emporer predator with conquering limbs and an immense, commanding, all knowing gaze.

a hunt was afoot.
