THE WAY HOME | RESCUE RAID ANNOUNCEMENT - HAMMOND - 10-27-2018

[align=center][div style="text-align: justify; width: 60%; font-family: georgial; font-size: 11pt;"]He shouldn't be the one doing this. The group had lost it's medic, it's members, and was on the verge of losing its home, as a survivor there was nothing left for him but the ashes of a fallen kingdom. As someone who'd seen groups dwindle and crumble before, Axle believed his cynicism to be justified, but what was the driving factor behind him taking high ground on some boulders? What was the driving factor behind him letting out a sound midway between a bark and a growl? As some turned to look at the one normally so quiet and disinterested, the Heeler unfortunately couldn't decipher his change of heart at the present moment. All he knew was that his paws were rigid, and he wasn't going to budge from his podium until he announced what needed to be announced. "Delilah's gone, but not dead,". It was clearly hard to raise his voice, even if the Guardsman had learned how to speak again calling some octaves above his comfortable level still made his words drunk and feel alien on his tongue.

"We're... We're...". He curled his lip, frustrated. "Gonna get her back. Some distract Pitt, one sneaks to get our medic. They've got numbers, don't finish a fight if- when, we get her... run, don't be stupid,". Was it in his authority? Axle didn't know, he didn't care either. They could ostracise him for it later if they wished, but if they waited a day or three for the Captain of the Guard or their leader to discuss better plans... Axle was confidant there'd be nothing left of the captive but bone. It wasn't his best plan, but a more on the fly thinker than a meticulous planner, the Cattle Dog figured that was the best the group was gonna get. He gestured towards the residence's exit, wasting no time in beginning his travel towards the vile territory of the Pitt.

"I've got her." Arrow responded monotonously, glancing past Axle as he spoke. Those little shits. Thought they were so tough, picking on whoever, it made her blood boil. Delilah never hurt a soul, and that probably only encouraged them.

She looked back once before pushing on behind Axle and out of the safety, or illusion of safety, of the camp. She knew she shouldn't have gone out and followed orders that weren't Morgans, or Vigenere's, but Axle was right. There just wasn't time to wait.

Re: THE WAY HOME | RESCUE RAID ANNOUNCEMENT - Morgan - 10-28-2018

Morgan lied on his belly some distance away, keeping his eyes closed as he listened to the conversation from his hiding spot. Normally, average Guardsmen were in no position to host raids... yet he had no issue with Axle's idea. At first, he gritted his teeth -
What if she's dead? What if you both just get yourself killed?
- but then he realized something that should have been obvious.
[color=#FFE499]What if... what if she's still alive?
The General stayed frozen in place, at conflict with himself. The idea seemed far too dangerous, but part of him knew it was the right thing to do to at least try to rescue their one and only medic - one of their only friends remaining.

Re: THE WAY HOME | RESCUE RAID ANNOUNCEMENT - Morgan - 10-29-2018

Morgan's tense body loosened up as he felt his boyfriend push him lightly. He had heard all he needed to hear, but he still felt conflicted.
"You can go first,"
he whispered, gritting his teeth.
"I'm... I'm not su-"
He was cut off by the savannah's words, which hit him even harder than his own thoughts. He visibly winced, but nodded and got up.

With a confused frown, he tried to nuzzle the Captain's face to thank him.
"I'll take up the rear. I... I need a little time to think, but I'll be there."
He felt his legs shake slightly, but he willed them to stop as he leaned in a bit closer.
"I love you, my Vigenere. I'll do my best."
His frown was soon replaced by a subtle smile, and with it he asked,
"Why don't you get your mask? I'll be wearing mine."
