THAT GREEN GENTLEMAN | open, intro / face painting !! - PIERCE - 10-25-2018 ☁ Pierce had been living in the Ascendants for just a few days now, having taken some time to himself to settle into his new home after his capture, and after convincing his daughter to stay with him. She'd been hesitant at first, but after some persuading, she'd agreed to try it out. What would the harm be? They'd been moving around a lot lately, so they may as well try it. Soon after they came to an agreement, he’d made a couple hurried visits to Sunhaven to retrieve his most important personal possessions to put into his new home, and he and Clementine were finally beginning to feel normal again. It was odd to have moved again, but he hoped they’d be able to stay where they were now; everyone was nice and Clem was actually starting to make friends, so there was no way he really could move again and take all that away from her.
So, that meant it was time to finally get acquainted with the rest of his new clanmates- when he wasn’t a captive of theirs, that is. The dappled feline had spent all day setting up, and now he sat in the observatory with a little table and all his paints and brushes laid out on top of it. He was stocked with all sorts of colors, but had mainly darker, more "spooky" ones set out, as he intended on giving out some Halloween face designs. "Hey-" called Pierce, waiting to see that he'd caught some people's attention before he continued, "I'm Pierce, I'm, uh, new here, and I was wondering if anyone wanted their face painted- like, for Halloween?" It'd been so long since he'd done something like this, but it always made him so happy, since everyone usually got pretty excited about it. Everybody loved it, but it seemed like the kids did especially, and it had always been so rewarding to see their little smiles when he showed them what he'd given them. "You can ask me some questions, too- only if you want, of course." He didn't want to seem weird- it'd been a while since he'd really gotten out there in a new clan and made some friends, since back in Sunhaven, he hadn't really had anyone. Hopefully, that'd change here; maybe even today! "speech" Re: THAT GREEN GENTLEMAN | open, intro / face painting !! - BABY — - 10-26-2018

YOU'RE RUNNING OUT OF TIME
YEAH, YOU KNOW YOU CAN'T GO BACK, IT'S TOO LATE TO SAY IT'S TOO LATE. YOU CAN'T TAKE BACK THAT YOU SAID NOTHING. HOW COULD YOU DO NOTHING? Seeing a former captive inviting his captors over to his table filled with various paints and colors was not something that Titan would have ever imagined. When someone was captured, they were either enslaved or killed at a certain point. That was how it usually worked, was it not? However, the Ascendants was a different case. He could not exactly picture a leader like Moonmade ordering for someone's execution. The Ascendants, although it contained some members that could be considered "hardcore", was not a chaotic group. They were not brutes, not savages that killed because they could. He was still confused as to why Pierce had decided to remain here instead of high-tailing back to Sunhaven, and that was what he would ask at that moment. His curiosity was overriding his introverted tendencies, obviously, as the lion padded over. His amber gaze swept over the paints, and at Pierce's offer to paint his face ( for some reason ), he stated monotonously, "No thank you." After a few moments, Titan had taken a seat and asked, "I see you've decided to stay." He couldn't say that he was not suspicious of Pierce's intentions. Could this possibly be a lure for his angry clanmates? A chance for another raid? His narrowed eyes met the gaze of the serval, as if he were observing every movement of his facial features. He'd never expected someone from another group to realise the errors of their ways without a change of heart someone down the line, he didn't think Pierce would've had one given how petrified he'd been of everyone. The other had seemed like someone who didn't want to be around any Ascendants, yet here the serval was, offering some generous Halloween gifts. Perhaps it was a little suspicious, perhaps it was just an act to get intel and betray the star-gazers' trusting dispositions, but with the chance that the other was genuinely more content being here than with the murderers, he'd stop his caution from showing. Sliding closer, the young adult sat down in front of the bootleg booth, staring neutrally at the other for some time. Hardly a child anymore, the lack of giddy excitement anywhere in his body language or expression should've been expected, but some part of him was still a little happy to be getting some 'make-up' on. Harmless and fun, there wasn't really a point in denying it lest he wanted to preserve his rarely used pride. "Get creative," the Guardian confirmed what he wanted, nodding his head politely in greetings. Truthfully he had no ideas for Halloween costumes, perhaps another's design would inspire some creativity within him. "Name's Ren, by the way," an ebony ear flicked, smiling slightly in anticipation. "Why not go back home?". Re: THAT GREEN GENTLEMAN | open, intro / face painting !! - MOONMADE - 10-27-2018 "'Cause they're fuckin' psycho." A voice interjects, answering Ren's question for him. Moon lopes in and walks a circle around the small gathering, eyeing the colors and paints with perhaps a touch of suspicion before he collapses in a heap in the corner. Face dropped to his paws, he looks, unrelenting, at Pierce, and raises a brow. "I'm right, aren't I? Shopkeepers lost it and brought their Clan down with them. Place is crashing and burning. Gotta' be a whole new type of stupid to want that back."
His distaste for Sunhaven was a well established thing. The drama surrounding them was immense and exhausting, and Moon was aware there might be something more to it - something to justify their madness - but patience wasn't something he was in abundance of and they still hadn't fucking told him why they hated their guts, why all this shit had started in the first place. He'd given up trying to figure it all out a while ago. At this point, he didn't want anything to do with them. Pierce and Clem were different, though. He'd come to realize they were the 1% of Sunhaven that was actually bearable, so he's been gradually less standoffish, gradually less cold. Trust takes time, but it's coming. "Think me and Ren are the only ones who're gonna' need painting. Rest of these ugly fucks are scary enough as it is." Re: THAT GREEN GENTLEMAN | open, intro / face painting !! - agathe. - 10-27-2018 [div style="width: 500px; text-align: justify; font-family: Verdana; font-size: 11px; color;"]"My face? Scary? I'm wounded." Agathe's comment was delivered in good humor, the low murmur of her voice accompanied by the soft sound of fabric against fur as she joined the little group. There was a pleasant light in her eyes as she scanned their faces, surprisingly fond of the idea of having her face painted for Halloween.. even if it was from a former Sunhavener. Yes, she supposed that that was a surprising development as well, but if he wished to live here, then she surely would not fault him. His daughter was - and this pained her to admit - pleasant as well, all an all two relatively solid additions to their group. She wouldn't hesitate to strike either down if they though to betray them though... But that was just typical Agathe behavior, she supposed. Rolling her shoulders, the Lunar Lieutenant would flash her teeth. "This is a new type of body paint that I haven't encountered before," She casually extended, referencing the tribal paint she was more familiar with, "Let me see what you can do." It felt weird allowing someone who had once been considered an enemy to paint her face, but she supposed that she wasn't too worried about a surprise assault- especially when there was a line of people in front of her waiting for similar face paint. She deserved a little relaxing time anyways, and as strange as it felt to entertain thoughts of unwinding here, Agathe figured that she might as well give it a shot. |
