[align=center][div style="width: 51%; text-align: justify; font-size: 10pt; letter-spacing: -1px; font-family: georgia;"]It was hard for her to believe.

Both of her siblings were here, with her. They were together again, after so long of her thinking them dead. Maybe they should have been, the three of them. Maybe death had simply missed a stop. Nevertheless, she was ecstatic--over the moon--to have them back together again. Now that they were reunited, she didn't want to let them go, wouldn't let them go. At least not so easily.

Cosette turns back to face her eldest sibling, a plate of fruit and unidentified meat in her teeth. She sets in down in front of him, then takes a seat and smiles, watching him. She had insisted he come back to her home, urging him to stay with her at least until he found one for himself. But she definitely wouldn't complain if he chose to stay here with her.

"Sorry, we don't have much out here." she says, a bit sheepish. It was hard to get supplies, so they would have to settle.

Cosette and Bishop. Two beings that Leopard thought he would never see again.

Leopard had still been a slave when he heard of the leader of the Pitt, something that had spurred a bit of hope in his weary soul. He heard of Cosette sister a short time after and it was the knowledge that they were both alive that had gotten Leo to escape. He had come to the Pitt within two months of the news, scarred and emaciated but overjoyed to see his siblings.

His joining was not a big deal, Leo didn't make a big announcement and he had not let anybody else do it either. He disliked strangers but he disliked being the center of attention even more. There were a lot of.. not so good memories associated with being the center of attention and Leo would rather not have to think about any of them.

He would be sitting in the home of his younger sister now, cloak tucked tightly around his body and hood still up, but a slight smile upon his maw. She had grown so big in his absence, so strong. Gods, how he was proud of her. Leo would blink as a dish was set upon the floor in front of him, ears twitching as he listened to Cup apologizing for the 'lack of food'. This was more than he had eaten in a few days.
The tom would tilt his head as he gazed at his sibling, a slight look of humor in his eyes. "[glow=white,1,400]This is fine, Cup. It is more than enough food.[/glow]"

Leopard was uncomfortable eating around others but he would push past it for now, taking a bite of some meat. "[glow=white,1,400]How are you faring?[/glow]" He would ask, voice holding a rasp that made it seem as if he had not spoken in some time. He was not very talkative these days but he was willing to make an exception for his siblings.

[align=center][div style="width: 51%; text-align: justify; font-size: 10pt; letter-spacing: -1px; font-family: georgia;"]Sometimes she forgot how full these types of meals would be compared to what they used to get. Really, they couldn't even be considered that--they expected them to run on table scraps half the time. Suddenly realizing this, she quietly cursed herself, sheepishly watching him eat. She feared just how long ago his last decent meal had been. Surely he hadn't just recently escaped?

Cosette doesn't have long to dwell on it, though, attention suddenly focused back on her brother as he spoke. Her gleeful expression sours slightly, averting her eyes as she wondered how to respond. Lately things hadn't been so well. Her emotions were all over the place, a rocky road with plenty of bumps. She was beginning to fear herself, afraid of what she had become, or was becoming. Maybe she had always been like this.

She swallows around the lump she didn't notice had formed in her throat, trying to force a smile back onto her face. "I've been well enough. Better than I used to be, of course." she exhales heavily after finishing the last part, trying not to linger on thoughts of those times. The present was the best, and she intended to look forward instead of backwards.

"But tell me, brother, where have you been? What.." she stops, unsure if they should speak about it or not, obvious by the way her body tensed. "What happened after you were..taken away?" she instantly regrets asking it. Her eyes glaze over with sadness just thinking about it, though she's sure his own pain at reminiscing is worse.
