//powerplay for peaceful actions are allowed! so this is my plot development prompt thats apart of goretober- hanahaki disease, the flower disease. look it up for more info, but i'll be using a lot of the 'language of flowers' meanings in here. The cold was something that shouldn't bother Onision, in reality. His body was cold to the touch, his heart didn't beat, so why did it matter if he got sick anyways? He could never die- he'd just have to rely on Aloysius to take over while he healed. Well, normally. Now, he couldn't. He had noticed the small coughing fits he had been having, however rare they actually were. He didn't get sick- he knew he didn't, but something wasn't right. He could tell by the way just his coughs sounded, how they seemed to rattle inside of him, making his insides feel like glass- like he could be broken anytime. It started off with coughs that happened every few days, then turned into every couple of hours. Now, as he sat in the hallways of the observatory, watching the moon filter into the observatory- his mind on two people in particular, he noticed how it had became more often. Every once in a while- it felt like a bug was in his throat, like a fire was there, rolling through his body. The two on his mind were a constant, never-ending memory. His boyfriend- Alexander, whom he hadn't seen much of recently, and Victor- the male whom he met at the border on a patrol. The typhooner wasn't someone he wanted to see at first, in reality. He hadn't even seen Victor since he had 'joined' the Ascendants, before leaving not even a day or two later. From just a mere catch-up talk, Oni found himself arguing with both sides of his mind. Victor was apart of an enemy clan, and he had a boyfriend- but the look in Victor's eyes as Oni made a joke, the way he laughed and understood his russian curses and words. It was like a fresh breath of air, but he loved Alexander. It was complicated, but Onision didn't realize how complicated it was until he had began to hack constantly now. With his paws at his mouth, Oni's coughing fit became worse as he felt something coming up. At first, it felt like bile, and Oni braced himself to throw up all over the windowsil, but he didn't. Instead, something soft fell from his jaws, as well as chilly liquid, soaking into his pawpads. With a scared glance down, Oni realized that it was the familiar sight of blood on his paws, feeling the crimson igor drip down his chin. Tucked in between his pawpads were daffodil and red dahlia petals, clumped together all in one paw. What the hell? What the fuck was he now, a faerie? Jesus christ. Then, came the harsh wheezing- his breaths coming out in short bursts as he begged- pleaded- for the pain to just stop. He wanted to die, he didn't want to suffer. But now it was starting to hurt. He could feel more blood spurt from his mouth as he coughed again, the two different flower petals coming back up again. //So, basically, daffodils mean unrequited love. This refers to Oni secretly having feelings for Victor, but not acting on them. Red Dahlias mean betrayal, symbolizing the idea of Oni having feelings for someone else while being with Alex being betrayal to Alex. Basically, Oni is a mess right now and if he doesn't solve his shit, he finna actually kill this body hes in. all you give me is a heartbeat —

[W]isker Re: I'M NOT YOUR SUPERMAN && sick, hanahaki disease. - ONISION. - 10-27-2018 Bumping! Summary; oni is coughing up blood and flowers petals. Hanahaki disease. Re: I'M NOT YOUR SUPERMAN && sick, hanahaki disease. - agathe. - 10-27-2018 [div style="width: 500px; text-align: justify; font-family: Verdana; font-size: 11px; color;"]Where she came from, those afflicted with sickness were better off dead. Anything worse than a common cold was treated with such an inhumane level of disinterest and even mockery that the patient often succumbed to their own death alone. Agathe had been lucky to never come down with much of anything, though she had seen "friends" wilt away under the affects of a particularly nasty virus one winter. She didn't like to think about them, think about any named facet of her past. So she merely honed in on the sound of rasping coughs, a flare of panic blooming in her chest as she wondered if Clementine was okay. Goddess above, she was going soft, wasn't she? Agathe couldn't help but sigh in relief as her hurried steps brought her towards Oni, not Clem. Was it wrong of her to delight in his suffering when it was so clearly not Clem's? Probably, but she didn't care. Instead, Agathe fixed her attention on the flowers with mild curiosity, a brow rising ever so slightly at them. She'd seen people hack up blood and other questionable substances but flowers were certainly a first... and pretty unnatural too. "Choke on a daisy?" She finally mused, the makings of a cruel smile toying at the corners of her lips, "If you need someone to pat your back until you can cough the petals, don't hesitate to ask." That didn't exactly explain why the petals were stained with Oni's blood, but a part of her didn't care to ask. Or maybe, didn't want to know. She didn't know much about romance or such warm feelings, but she did know about illness. She had been sick a few times in the past, though that was when her mothers were still around. They would bring her soup and tissues, and make sure she was comfortable until she was better. She was glad that she hadn't gotten sick since their deaths, unsure how she would get by without their care. Plus she'd probably panic that she was dying, her fear of it rearing it's ugly head. The hacking and coughing quickly caught her attention, the child hurrying to find the source of the noise. She didn't want any of her clan-mates to be sick! Nor did she want them to die--sickness killed people, didn't it? That thought made her heart pound as she found her brother and Agathe, wide eyes filled with worry for her kin. What was wrong? Her paws carried her over in a dash, at Onision's side in an instant. "Oni!" Isabelle calls out, looking down at the petals in his paw. Her eyes widen even more. "What's wrong? Why are you bleeding?!" she would cry, heat stinging the corners of her eyes as tears pushed their way out, fear carving into her chest. She didn't want her family to die, not again. She didn't have much knowledge about medicine or herbs, but she was praying to whatever out there that he would be okay, that he would recover quickly. She sniffles, the tears now sliding down her cheeks and matting her fur. "speech" |
