One More Time;; Luca - Masie - 10-24-2018

She had been hunting for anything to do on this sunny day in the rain forest, but one of the members who particularly did not like the idea of the raptors being unattended had caught her. This cruel npc lion? Had swiftly snatched Masie up by her scruff like one would a cub, only this quickly proved to not work as Raptors had almost nothing there, so he settled for holing the child by her neck. This lion didn't care for the fact another raptor had shown up, thus payed no heed to her trashing and digging her claws into the ground, trying to free her neck from the uncomfortable threatening pressure. Of course, this event was only going to end badly as she felt her air limited and would do anything necessary to stop that feeling. As she was carried, eventually her front claws found his lower jaw, providing just enough stability to swing her hind legs up onto his lower jaw as well. This factor displeased the lion, causing him to toss her a few feet across the ground, disturbed with how quickly the thing righted itself and snapped its gaze to him. No matter, the lion had reached his goal.

"Luca, I found this thing in the forest." the male gruffed out, glaring over at the small raptor pressing her body towards the ground, glaring at him, awaiting his movement. "Seriously, how can he just let one that isn't even trained like the others supposedly are run around, this thing should be in a cage." rolling his eyes, he looked back to the horned male, keeping one hateful optic on the raptor feet away from them. "Anyways since I can't kill it lest the wrath of the rest of them comes down on me." she was surrounded by two creatures who sputtered that insane noise that drove her up the wall. "I figured I'd bring it to someone in some form of authority, you, to watch over the beast until Owen tracks her down again, he's so obsessive it probably won't take long." he certainly didn't want to be responsible for letting this demon spawn run around unchecked!

Thus the Lion went away, leaving Luca with a clearly defensive Masie, one clawed hand rubbing the top of her neck near her head, burn mark on her maw still fairly visible. However, after a few moments provided he made no aggressive moves due to being possibly stunned at the manner he had raptor dumped on him or something, she would change her stance. Once she was sure no one was going to snatch her up by the neck again, Masie would straight up and chitter happily briefly. "Plant Cat Companion." it almost seemed like a greeting or something if one paid close enough attention, she did a similar noise when she saw Junji the differences were slight. Considering she was not constricted in anyway, she'd swiftly delve into the nearby stream and pull out a large fish by its tail, dragging it alive over to him. Was she trying to feed him? If that was the case it was beyond clear she was not dangerous as the others because she didn't seem to know how to kill it.

Re: One More Time;; Luca - Luca - 10-25-2018

Luca's life had been chaotic ever since the breaking of his seal. He had gone on a rampage and hurt the two of the typhoon members closest to him, and then the both of them had been captured by the Pitt (something that he definitely felt responsible for, thanks to the injuries he had given them). If that wasn't enough to tire him, as soon as Junji got back it was discovered that he was pregnant. Since the reveal Luca had been tending tirelessly to his boyfriend, trying his best to make sure that everything went smoothly. Quite frankly, he was exhausted. He needed a break from his bakery, from the parenting books, and from the general angst of his crewmates. He sat by the stream, dipping his paw into the water and listening to the hiss of steam as the liquid reacted with his powers. He seemed deep in contemplation, so it took a while for the lion's words to register as he approached from behind the canine. Luca paused, and then he slowly turned around to see what the guy was talking about. The small raptor that Junji had put effort into healing, he recognized her quickly. He blinked again, and again, and finally the words seemed to register.

"W-wait, wha-" but before he could protest the feline was walking away, leaving him with the injured dinosaur. He stared despairingly after the other pirate's form as it disappeared into the foliage, and then bit his lip as he turned his gaze to stare her down, sitting silently off to the side of the running water. His blind anger from before was gone thanks to the absence of Owen, but there was still a clear distaste in his eye. This was exactly the kind of responsibility he had been trying to avoid by retreating into the jungle. He wanted to relax and have some time to himself, not to babysit a dangerous lizard. He agreed with what the lion had said, that much was clear from his actions in the past, but he wasn't too sure about killing Masie either. Not because he was afraid of Owen and the other raptors, he had died much worse deaths than being eatien alive (not that it stopped his anger over the whole matter) and breaking Owens heart would totally be worth any consequences. Still, he didn't know how Junji would feel about it, and he didn't have quite enough bloodlust in him to push past the guilt he felt when imagining the soothsayer's disappointed face. He stared at Masie cautiously, and his fangs leaked numbing venom onto his tongue, but he made no moves towards her, trying to decide what to do.

It was the raptor that ended up making the first move. He watched her with a slight frown as she moved towards the stream, his gaze staying trained right on her as she lunged and caught a fish by the tail. He recognized it as a skilled catch for something so young, frown darkening for a second or two. The raptors were obviously intelligent. This one in front of him could almost be considered like him. Almost. He still shared Bakugou's opinion that the raptors were no more than pets. His expression cleared slightly as Masie brought the fish over to him, and he raised a metaphorical brow as he stared down at its flopping body. "What do you want me to do with this?" He asked, not expecting a real answer. He placed his paw down on its body, hearing the sizzle of his ember-coated paw pads as they came down on the living creature. Perhaps a bit cruel, but he had a way of detaching himself from other living creatures. Despite his half-grumpy disposition, he was legitimately curious as to why she'd brought him that fish. He glanced up at her, paw still pressed on the scales beneath it.

Masie indeed would be intelligent like her siblings, but at the moment she was actually dim compared to the other raptors around due to an age disadvantage. Luckily, she learned swiftly and had plentiful opportunity to do so, far from isolated. Having the chance to figure out the world herself the way she did? Would one day prove to be an invaluable asset to the young one. The fish was simple, even if she was inexperience and held little knowledge of hunting, her species was still designed for it, just the same as a cat knowing how to unsheathe its claws, simple as breathing for her.

Considering everything, she had been putting more effort into trying to decode the noise made by the animals not of her species. If none of her efforts so far stopped the enraging noises they made sometimes, than she had to find a new approach and that included a new session of evaluation of the target, so to speak. None of her intentions were malicious, but she still approached it like something she had to dismantle to some degree in order to figure out what she needed to do. Whatever that noise of his was sounded more curious this time, as if he didn't know exactly just what was going on. Yes, this was much better, she could work with curiosity and confusion much easier than the noise that made her want to stomp on their necks until it stopped. Heck, if she understood everything she would wonder why the fact she didn't just attack them when upset even in the momentary absence of Owen was not enough to convince them that they were wrong about her.

Masie remembered when Owen had taught her to eat things, not that it had been too hard she just hadn't known how to use her baby teeth. Yet, she was going to need to improsvise to teach this one how to eat, because she didn't have another fish right now and it could take time to catch another one. With the goal clear in mind? She looked around, finallt snatching up a large leaf about the size of the fish, laying it on the ground in front of her the raptor placed one foot onto it as she ripped part of the leaf off and tilted her head back to pretend to eat it. Clearly, she let the leaf fall to the side of her muzzle instead of eating it, but hopefully it would convey the point, amber optics looking at him expectantly as she nodded to the fish than to him. Eating wasn't that hard to teach someone, father had taught her quickly, it should be just as quick teaching him.
