ICKY VICKY - open; extremely sick - rhosmari - 10-18-2018

Whatever had happened that night, whatever that thing had been that had attacked her and even possibly someone else had left the leader in a bad state. She hadn't been scene for a couple of days and her absence around the village was noticeably felt. Usually she was everywhere, moving from one place to another and making sure to keep up in her own works as well as greeting everyone with a warm smile. At least before all the problems had happened she had been and though even down the hellhound had managed to keep a smile on her face. To warm the hearts of others and push through issues that were piling more and more on her shoulders. There had been an ever encroaching force of ghost and ghouls that was plaguing their town much like Tanglewood and Snowbound. She didn't know how bad the damages had been or even if anyone had been attacked by any of the ghost that they might have encountered. There had just been so many and it seemed they had decided that it was her turn to face one. Though it hadn't been just any ghost that had come to face her, not a loved one that had been lost other. But an almost demonic entity that was hellbent on causing as much pain and suffering as it could. It had no feeling, no ability to care but to force it's own misery and anguish upon others.

The only thing that she could remember of the encounter was feeling so numb and cold, the hollow feeling as if something was trying to carve her out and leave an empty shell. Now the hellhound laid in her room alone at her home, having stayed their for a couple of days. Unable to move, unable to breathe. Chest heaving and wheezes leaving her throat. Her bed was stained with that black ooze that dripped from her nostrils and ears, her mouth and tongue coated in the stuff. She had never felt so bad, so tired and out of it that she couldn't function properly. It felt as if her diaphragm didn't want to move to pull air into her body and a shiver passed sharply through her frame, causing muscles to tense up too tight and a whine to pull from her throat. Blurry eyes opened and she didn't much see the room, darkness encircling her vision and she just closed them once again. There were a mess of tissues that laid upon the floor all stained with that black fluid and her paw hung off the bed, claws curled in the mock appearance of a clenched fist. Indeed she was very much in a bad place right now. The sickness tearing through her body.

[div style=" background-color: transparent; border: 0px solid black; width: 550px; min-height: 9px; font-family: arial; line-height: 109%; text-align: left; color: black; padding: 20px;font-size: 12px;"][align=right]and you say ive lost my light —

throughout the quiet nights, the dull and disorientating mornings, venus was noticeably absent from most of the group's daily going-ons. not sick, not unwell - just busy. many of the group's actually unwell and injured members would physically have to come to venus if they ever wanted to get a chance for the solbinder to aid them, or try and catch leona's attention. even though the silver teen was gracious for their position, admittedly every time another entity knocked at the door a foul grimace formed on venus' expression. everytime. they all precariously teetered around strewn papers, unfinished theses and food scraps as venus planned the quickest way to get the the job done efficiently enough for venus to get back to their work as soon as possible. couldn't they see? the solbinder was busy.

one soul of which venus didn't see, but oddly wished would come over was the helion herself - wasn't she injured badly in the raid? honestly venus couldn't remember, they had taken a backbench role in the raid and hadn't the foggiest what had gone down exactly, but marina had taken her sweet time coming back to sunhaven. the lateness of her arrival had put venus on edge. yet, after a few days or so after her disappearance she came back, smelling of a different sea. hope sunhaven's banks weren't getting jealous.

pushing out of their self-induced science cocoon, groggy paws stretched lazily along the group's busy lands in search of the leader. surely it was venus' job to pester marina, if they didn't then leona should at least. it wasn't healthy to have a leader potentially dying of infection - for anyone in sunhaven. closer and closer the silver-toned kitsune edged towards the leader's abode, nerves creeping into venus' veins as the sounds of splutters filled the stagnant air and unsettling the teen. how long had venus been unaware of marina's state? had the helion come to the solbinder's dens and venus just been so absorbed in their own works that they hadn't payed a single spare thought to her? surely not. it wasn't something the vulpine could so easily gloss over. "hey mari, you in there? it's me- venus, can i come in?" even though venus just wanted to burst in and get a better look at what ailed the leader, they were obliged to at least ask before entering marina's safe-space. unfortunately.

The voice that called to her sounded strange, as if coming to her through water. Distorted and warped that she couldn't even begin to figure out who it was or what they were saying. Her eyes blinked slowly, the blackness seeping and spreading over her vivid green eyes. It had yet to completely cover the color but it was approaching her pupil from each side. Her jaws were slightly parted and she just stared at the door from where she laid, that black ooze slipping down from her open maw. For a moment it seemed as if she wouldn't say anything at all which was naturally a bad sign. But slowly her jaws moved, an aching groan leaving her throat as she slowly forced herself to move. Her body shook, a shiver that caused her to stumble as she made her way to the door and force it open with what strength she had before collapsing against the frame of it. She swallowed hard, a rasping sound before the coughing began and she pressed her paw against her muzzle to block it. Forcing her head down as her body shook with it and when her paw moved away it was stained with black. "....Venus....ya...what is...it?" Her voice sounded barely there, a strange gurgling noise and she ducked her head back against her home to allow the other to enter.

LUCERYS VELARYON // M, 20 M/O // SUNHAVEN

Sickness had a certain smell that animals could sense if they tuned in enough, Lucy knew. He could have smelt the sickness rolling off of Marina's pelt when he had time, but he didn't have that luxury. The bright red griffon slid in beside Venus slowly, merely staying by the doors and refusing to go in. Something wasn't right, but Lucerys couldn't pinpoint it. Maybe it was the deja vu. He had been witness to plague and death in his city of Mereen, Astapor, and so many other valyrian islands in Essos.

"please be okay.." Lucerys managed to softly mutter, worry in golden eyes as the male focused on the ground underneath him.

WHY SHOULD I PLAY THIS GAME OF PRETEND?
