KNOWING ME, KNOWING YOU / stryker - COSMIIX - 10-17-2018

[glow=black,1,400]A BEATING HEART OF STONE, YOU GOTTA BE SO COLD TO MAKE IT IN THIS WORLD — 。+゚.[/glow]
The tiger had been walking throughout the territory with both curved ears angled forward, he would let out a soft breath escape his slightly parted jaws. The feeling of being distant was often stronger these past few days, it bothered the Marauder a lot and he knew there wasn't much he could do about it. He supposed that he simply needed to deal with this in a different way yet he didn't know how to do it, he often found himself staring off into the distance and felt his ears heat up at the mere thought of it. Quill made his way back to camp with some prey hanging from his powerful jaws, he set them onto the kill pile before sitting down to look down at the bandana wrapped around his fore leg. He couldn't wear it properly around his throat anymore it made him think that he should probably give it to one of his daughters, he was unsure of who of course but that decision would be made later. The tiger stretched out his forelegs until his belly touched the ground did he lay there peacefully without much of a thought, things were a whole lot easier under Stryker's rule than Esklav's. So much easier. He let out a soft huff.

[align=center][div style="width: 60%; text-align: justify; font-size: 11pt; font-family: georgia;"]☣ — Easy... Delightful. If he was doing better than the others, then Stryker was heading in the right direction with his leadership, no matter how focused it was on being rowdy and indistinguishable compared to the other clans. As long as they were prepared, he was settled. The Pitt would reign high or else. He wasn’t sure what the ‘or else’ was, but just like Goldenluxury and Valkyr, they too would be whipped into shape until they succumbed to his ideals. Thankfully, as of right now, that was needed. The ardent had like-minded ardents by his side and some wise erudites under his command that could gladly influence the environment around them, otherwise they wouldn’t off been promoted. It just happened to be that Quill was one of his most trusted figures. Despite the tiger being an absolute fool and a klutz, Stryker trusted him immensely. Quill had little ill-ideals, just as he did, and only fought to benefit himself and those around them. Along with that, he seemed to focus on firing against those who wronged him. At least that’s what the Ardent thought... They haven’t spoken long enough to necessarily become close, but to him, that’s what he saw within his marauder.

Speak of the devil. This wasn’t his chance. The lion’s neon gaze spotted Quill from a mile away walking towards the kill pile. His eyes followed the male until he laid down, only beginning to approach when that happened. Stryker prowled over, smirk across his lips. Clearing his throat, his usual cocky tone reminisced across the area as he begun to speak his mind. ”I heard you were a baby daddy,” he mocked. ”Aren’t you special?” It already seemed this was going to be a battle of insults and wits to no avail...

//mobile, sorry

A baby daddy?

Nobody had ever called Jackdaw that then again his father had been much more different than Quill himself, the tigers whiskers would twitch as Stryker basically mocked him about being special because he had kids. He didn't see the whole problem with it, he was still shaky on the whole parenting ordeal but he had soon found out that his two girls were already taking up most of his world. It had only been like that once, he recalled and that girl had been Sawyer, a deceased girlfriend of his. He hadn't been able to get back into the whole dating thing since he didn't feel as if he was ready to move on yet even if he had already had two flings under a few days. It was ridiculous yet Quill wasn't ready or that's what he believed anyways, it became even harder with the fact that Valkyr had taken his heart, quite literally, and left to the Ascendants. It made him feel very uneasy but he managed to distract himself with his girls, who always managed to put a smile on his face. Now, Strkyer was mocking him but if the Ardent even thought about bringing his daughters into the conversation then there would definitely be some issues between him and the lion but that didn't seem to be the case.

Quill might not see eye to eye when it came to some of the Pitt traditions or laws but it was easier to agree with Stryker rather than Esklav, who had lost his marbles the day before he completely disappeared and Stryker had taken the role of Ardent. Quill wouldn't lie that he thought of taking over the Pitt but those thoughts had subsided when he started spending more and more time with his former co-leaders, he was glad to be a Marauder with his best friend, Benny. It felt nice and the feeling of accomplishment made the other more determined in carrying out the orders that were necessary but Stryker or anyone else for that matter would ever see Quill capturing children, owning and beating a slave. He'd uphold the rest of the Pittian values but those two were big no-no's for the strawberry furred male. Once he had managed to push away his thoughts, he finally spoke with a coy grin on his maw "Special? Fuck, well, you said it not me." There was a pause before he would add with a joking tone "Odd, I'm sure some fellas or chicks dig a single father. Not sure about you though, light fur, some funky lookin' toothpicks ya like ta'call horns, and your hurtful eyeballs." With that, he would roll over onto his back stretching out his front legs with that cocky grin still on his stupid face yet he would slowly sit up. Ha, he was still taller than Stryker.

Cute.

[align=center][div style="width: 60%; text-align: justify; font-size: 11pt; font-family: georgia;"]☣ — Stryker used to think have similar morals to Quill, but eventually lost them. The male, despite how egotistical could be, did have his limits though. He just hadn't necessarily crossed that line yet in public. That left his group in the dark... thankfully. No one needed to know him fully. Quill, though, did seem like someone he could confide in about himself though. He was responsible, willing to fire back, and openly joked back with Stryker with his own sense of sarcasm. The two cocky males would get along delightfully. "Well, it's true," came his coo towards the tiger. "And I'm sure someone is attracted to single men." Not saying he was favoring baby daddies, but he did definitely enjoy Quill's company. "You just happen to be one of the unlucky ones without any pizzazz." Now they were shooting low-blows at one another. How silly. With a grin, he craned his head off to the head. "Though I would like to point out that people do look me into the eyes because of that," he continued. "I'm an interesting specimen for a reason." At that point he should of said God had blessed him with this odd appearance so he could stroke his own ego. As long it kept the attention on him, he was pleased.

Not cute.

The tiger's height had always bothered him. Being the smaller one was never his preference, but he kept his head held high and eyes pried wide so his presence was made known. Small(er) but intimidating. Plus his mane added a few inches when it stood up. "So," he expressed with a small smirk, "What's your plans today?" Not that he necessarily cared. If someone was open to follow in his footsteps and help him out with whatever he desired to do, that would be helpful though.
