LOUDER THAN WORDS | FERAL UTAHRAPTOR - Sorrel - 10-16-2018

POWER OVER MIND
BLUE — FEMALE — THE TYPHOON — NONE — EXTREME PHYSICALLY EASY MENTALLY
Months. Months had gone by since she was separated from her pack. The female hadn't chosen to suddenly just disappear from existence on her own accord. It had happened such a long time ago that her memory itself was fairly fuzzy and hard to remember everything that had happened to her during that time. She remembered being captured by an enemy pack. Which in turn was actually just another clan, but since clans were basically packs in her eyes she just considered it to pack and didn't even know what a clan was in the first place. The small group had heard about the raptors and knew which one was in turn charge of the raptors when Owen wasn't around. They had followed them at a little bit of a distance and acquired the data that would need to do the assault. None of her other sisters were targetted, and it instead had only been her that was under fire from the group. Blue had simply gone out on a solo hunting mission, well away from everyone else. It had been there that walls suddenly had formed around her and there was nothing she could do to get out of it.

The Utahraptor tried to struggle her way out, but the walls of earth closed in on her to the point where she wouldn't even be able to turn her head. Her lungs were crushed under the weight and with the lack of oxygen, she soon fell unconscious. She woke up in a building, and it vaguely reminded her of the Ingen facility that she had been in when she was ill and they were going to run tests on her. When she had tried to move, she couldn't, as her arms and legs were shackled to the ground. Straining her joints in almost an uncomfortable manner and making sure that she wouldn't be a threat to them. The female was furious as to what was happening and her only thought was to try and escape like she always did when she was in a bad situation. Blue had to wait an entire day before someone opened the door to finally approach her. Blue wasn't about to greet whoever it was with kindness, and the large creature she had never seen before just seemed to look at her for a couple moments. There were very few words that she managed to understand, and she wasn't able to grasp the concept of what was going to happen to her.

They were going to torture her and hope to be able to use her against their enemies. Whether or not she was willing to comply though would be another story. Eventually, they turned to torture the Utahraptor. Not giving her food, causing injuries across her body, dislocating certain limbs, using different powers to get different responses from her. Blue had been close to giving up entirely and not bothering to struggle. Even someone like herself only had so much will left inside of her body after something like that. It was a couple days later that someone made a grave mistake. They got too close when they were preparing to lead her outside for another training session. They got distracted talking to one of their comrades when they unlocked one of her shackles. Blue had taken her chance, even in her weakened state, to grab the creatures head in her jaws and break its neck by twisting her head. Blue made a break for it, rushing past anyone before they could catch her. As far as she was concerned, she was on her own and she was extremely hungry. This is what led Blue here.

She didn't know if her sisters or Owen was alive or where they were. This was the closest territory to where she was being held, and she most definitely looked worse for ware. Her scales seemed to be lacking color, due to the fact that she was kept in a dark space for several months and didn't have many chances to go out into the sun. Scars littered the majority of her body, scars that looked like they were made in specific areas to cause some sort of pain. There were certain areas where patches of scales were missing revealing scar tissue underneath. Metal shackles were attached to her left leg and her right arm. Bruises lining the joints of each of her limbs where she had struggled against her restraints for days on end. Looking at the overall health of her body, she looks nearly starved. Her muscle mass having deteriorated away from kept in a cramped position while she was trapped. She wasn't as strong as she used to be, but she didn't care right now as she was STARVING.

Blue didn't bother to try and call out for those that she knew as she wouldn't be surprised if they were long gone by now. Instead, she followed the scent of another pack, she had been to the Typhoon before. She knew that there would be food there somewhere. Her arms to hold close to her body as she made her way along the train tracks, her movements fairly twitchy, almost like that of a bird. She wasn't used to being outside again. Her eyes constantly darting around trying to see any sign of movement on the island that she was making her way toward. Blue's breathing was quick, and she could feel her hunger eating away at her very bones. Finally, she was at the gate of the Typhoon, and it was there that the emaciated and heavily scarred raptor lowered her head to the ground, her nostrils flaring as she tried to get any scent of food. Her nine-inch long sickle claws tapped the graveled ground, her fingers flexing and relaxing at quick intervals.

//Please note that in her starving state, she will almost consider anyone to be food unless they are extremely larger than her!

Re: LOUDER THAN WORDS | FERAL UTAHRAPTOR - Masie - 10-16-2018

Within the months that Blue had been gone from the pack? Something else had changed as well, two months ago Owen had found an eliminated family group of Raptors, the only survivor an egg that hatched and imprinted on him. Thus, the pack had a new small addition, heading towards the size of some domestic felines at her shoulder, but not exactly there right yet. Unluckily, this new member of the pack had an insane habit of exploring anything she could get her snout into. Thus, she could be a sort of handful for the others sometimes... Like Right Now.. The infant raptor had left the safety of the nest again, wandering through the forest.

Amber optics caught the sight of another raptor through the tree's, for some reason this one reminded her of Delta but she couldn't put her claw on why. Instead of wondering, she took noticed of how thin it appeared the other dino was, and quickly delved into a nearby stream before coming back out with the best fish she could catch in there. Oh, she was so happy that Delta had taught her to catch fish! Blissfully unaware that her big sister had just been trying to kill her, so empathic and loving.

Blue would find the sight of a large fish awkwardly flopping around in the jaws of a raptor only half its size as she ungracefully stumbled up, dropping the fish and nudging it towards blue. "Masie." she spoke, the same tongue that the pack spoke, tilting her head forward slightly and backing off the fish to further show it was for the other. "Delta! Owen! Delta! Owen! Raptor!" with that, she logically started calling out for her father and sister, unaware the raptor in front of her was also her sister. Having called for her pack? She back into the water, dragging out another fish, though this one was a bit more sizable, offering it to Blue again.

Browns atop whites, a different color than the old indominus rex they had faced together, powerful in rights, front claws carrying him with a sense of dangerous grace that Owen just couldn't get used to. Lucerifus had once told him about how he was the new taxi- which wasn't incredibly wrong, except nobody wanted to ride atop a giant dinosaur. Ten feet was extremely high off the ground, after all.

A single amber eye watched a dying deer as it struggled under his foot's heavy, powerful grasp. The soft belching of the deer didn't go unnoticed, but no help would come for the doe. He had a meal for his girls, though this would only really feed someone Delta's size. He'd have to go out more and hunt.

Right before he was going to tear off a leg, Owen heard the familiar, untrained broadcast call of Masie, calling his name and Delta's. He could never get enough of his daughter calling out his name, especially since she was the product of the Darwin theory. It was survival of the fittest before she had met Owen, but now it was just survival, with feral raptors around her.

Standing up from his kill, he lifted it up in his jaws, saliva dripping from sharp teeth as the indo-rex pushed through the trees, using the tips Luciferus gave him. Invisibility allowed him to blend in with his surroundings, watching the little downy brown raptor chitter at a much larger, heavily scarred utahraptor. Inhaling the scent through his nose, he was shocked by the smell- of who this was.

"BLUE!" Owen called out to the utahraptor, a single amber iris taking in the unholy, scarred sight before him. Dropping his invisibility, Owen moved over to stand on all fours, muscles shifting under powerful limbs. "Who.. Who did this to you?" He rumbled, biting his tongue gently to bite back a curse or two. What the fuck.. What the fuck was this? She was so skinny, so scarred, so damaged. This wasn't nature, this was torture. Someone did this to you.

"It's Owen, girl. Who- Why.." Owen stuttered out, his calm composition nearly falling apart before he steeled himself again. Just like Delta, Just like Delta, she didn't know who he was in this form. If he could shift back, he would, but he can't right now. He can't in general, somethings wrong. He didn't want to fight again, the scars upon white and brown skin evident of a fight with his daughters when they discovered him.

Owen soon reached out with a clawed hand, pulling the tiny raptor closer to him, or attempting to. A protective fatherly instinct.

Re: LOUDER THAN WORDS | FERAL UTAHRAPTOR - - DELTA - - 10-16-2018

DELTA
female the typhoon raptor squad
Usually, Delta would ignore whatever Masie said, hoping whatever she was calling about would kill her. But the words caught her interest. Raptor.

It could be one of those feathered nuisances, or it could be her sisters. She knew it was highly likely it was one of the two, and lifted herself from her nest, the pale green utahraptor traveling the short distance at a leisurely pace, mostly because she was hoping if she took too long, then she could be a few seconds too late to try and 'save' the smaller raptor, coming to a stop at the railroads, and a purring sound could be heard. 'Blue. Home.'

Re: LOUDER THAN WORDS | FERAL UTAHRAPTOR - Sorrel - 10-16-2018

POWER OVER MIND
BLUE — FEMALE — THE TYPHOON — NONE — EXTREME PHYSICALLY EASY MENTALLY
Dealing with smaller creatures wasn't something that Blue was accustomed to dealing with. The Utahraptor knew that younger animals were easier to eat, but she had never been kind to some of them. There were instances in the past where they had managed to get close to Blue, but not close enough for her to consider them to be part of the pack. Blue was hard to warm up to compared to some of her other sisters. The Utahraptor believed that smaller animals were food, and finding other animals that were her species wasn't possible. At least in her eyes there wasn't anyone else like her or her sisters. She had seen other dinosaurs before, the female knew what those looked like and that they were fairly strong by themselves too. Blue didn't know that there would potentially be other raptors around, and she didn't even think that she would come across any of them while she was looking for something to eat. Food was the only thing that was on her mind. It was one of the essentials of survival, and when it came to instincts Blue always followed them. Going against her instincts wasn't part of her DNA, as that was what made a feral creature. Keeping them around could be dangerous, but it was the same as trying to domesticate a wolf into a dog. It took time and hard work and realizing that they were indeed wild animals.

Blue still had the distinct hate for humans and the clans due to that they always ended up injuring her or becoming threats in the future. She would never forgive them, and if she had the chance she would devour all of those that were in the Typhoon. However, since she doesn't have the use of powers it also means that she doesn't have the ability to defend herself against most of them unless she moves out of the way quick enough. Easier said than done with the strange things that these creatures were capable of doing. Blue still not understanding the aspects of power, but once she got hold of something there was no way it was going to get away from her without severely injuring themselves or dying in the process. She didn't attack to injure, she attacked to killed and that was what made the Utahraptor deadly. Blue was low enough to the ground that her clawed hands were touching the ground as she sniffed the rocks. There was an animal nearby, whether it was small enough for her to acquire was yet to be found. The almost 7ft tall Utahraptor raised herself into a standing position again, her amber hued eyes looking at the tree lines.

The shackle on her arm moved slightly causing her to drop her head and tug at it with her teeth, ultimately it didn't come off. Something that she knew was a waste of time trying to take off from her experience. Blue heard movement coming from the tree, and her head snapped in the direction that it was coming from, a growl escaping her jaws as she tried to find the source of the sound. It only took her a couple seconds before her eyes moved toward the movement coming toward her. It took Blue a couple seconds to realize that it looked like a smaller version of her sisters. Something like her. But not. It looked different. Her pupils narrowed into slits as her arms relaxed at her side so that she could pose them forward in case she wanted to attack. The strange creature held something though, and she recognized it as being a fish. Considering how long she had been away from her paddock, it meant that she was able to figure out what was food and what wasn't. As soon as the fish seemed to drop to the ground, the feral Utahraptor was on top of it. Having almost taken it right out of Masie's mouth. A fish that size though didn't last long, as she was able to gulp down the fish in one movement. She slid her off-blue tongue on the outside of her mouth as she looked down toward the strange creature again.

Wait. It could speak like her as well. What was this? Blue didn't reply though, not having made speaking vocalizations in a long time. Almost a year. The only reason why Blue didn't try to eat Masie, was the fact that the other had called out for her sister and her Alpha. That didn't make any sense as to why they would be here. And that confusion allowed a moment of hesitation to let Maise run off to get another fish. By the time her thoughts were over, there was another fish in front of her, and her instincts told her to focus on the food and nothing else. She held down the fish with one of her feet and used her jaws to rip it in half, the smell of the fish's blood definitely carrying across the wind. The Utahraptor then grabbed the other half section and swallowed it, almost like a crocodile would when it ate, swallowing in chunks. A few moments later though, she started to feel the ground beneath her feet begin to vibrate, sending her on high alert as she took a couple steps back. Blue could see the trees in front of her start to part themselves, and her body lowered itself in a defensive stance. It wasn't a stance that was remotely considered submissive, until suddenly something blinked into existence.

It was a massive scaled creature. It remembered her of the dragons she used to fight with her sisters. Her finger claws were poised forward toward Owen as her own aggressive scream escaped her jaws at the same time that Owen said her name. Making it extremely hard for her to hear him. The metal of her shackles clattered together as each step the beast took toward her she took another step back. Her long muscular tail lashing behind her as her sick claw dug into the ground. The voice sounded familiar. But with months of isolation, there was little that Blue was willing to comply with and didn't quite understand what the beast was saying. Blue knew when she was outmatched. But that didn't mean that she wasn't willing to defend herself either. Aggressive purring continued to escape her maw as her body couldn't seem to stay still. Consistently shifting her weight back and forth over and over again.

Her lips curled over to reveal her backward-facing teeth. It was then that she saw more movement and almost debated about leaving. This wasn't going to be an easy hunt. She probably wasn't fast enough to run around the large beast to get to the trees behind it. As she moved, one scale seemed to fall off of her emaciated body. Her amber eyes looking wilder than they had ever looked before. Her attention then turned to a familiar face. Why was Delta standing next to the large creature? Why was she here? It didn't make any sense and stilled more confusion in Blue's head as her respiratory rate increased in intervals. The grey-blue Utahraptor took another step back and almost seemed to refuse to communicate with her pack. A distressed and confused babble escaped her jaws, not that it formed a word, as stress began to rake her brain.

Re: LOUDER THAN WORDS | FERAL UTAHRAPTOR - Masie - 10-16-2018

Masie felt Owens clawed hand around her chest, pulling her backwards so she was beneath his large form. Normally? He would just put her on his head, so this was insanely strange to the female, why was he acting as if this Raptor was more dangerous than anyone else, it was one of them! In reaction to Owens movements she took two steps back, looking up at the expanse of his stomach, to the emerging Delta and back at the new raptor. Normally, she was quick and learned in seconds, but she could make no sense out of this, since her big sister was not behaving in any way that matched Owen's actions, and the other raptor was acting weird as well. Blue? Was that her name, it had to be, so they knew her, that meant she was a sister, so why was Owen keeping her away from a sister! A frustrated slight cry noise emitted as she turned her back and dove back into the stream, deciding to go back to fishing. Settling herself by securing a resource she knew that hew sister had need of, the small raptor just worked herself at pulling several fish out of the stream by their tails, far enough that they would not get back in.

A little later, about the matter of a minute, Masie returned once more, dragging about four fish by their tails, struggling to move such a weight since they had all been of decent size. Large amber optics looked eagerly at the other's, as she nearly tripped over the fish she was carrying, walking with struggle. "Blue. Food." Another soft chitter from her throat was emitted to hopefully get Blues attention, nudging all four fish forward with as much force as her tiny body could muster. "Delta. Sister." she nodded from Delta to Blue showing their relation she had guessed at. "Blue. Sister." she was making the connection, but this time she was glaring up at Owen slightly. As if questioning why he was trying to keep her away from one of her sisters. "Owen. Father." she babbled right at him, stomping her little feet in frustration, not sure why he was upset. "Delta. Sister. Blue. Sister." they were sister's, why was Owen cautious of Blue.  "Masie. Baby. Sisters!" the chitter was followed by her walking around his leg so she was facing both him and blue. "Blue. Delta. Owen. Masie. Home. Nest." it looked as if Blue needed to sleep, they needed to knock this off and get her home!

"Another of your wayward wards wen?" he recognised this one from well before Owen had been here, when Blue had been roaming alone without her sisters until later and then finally Owen had shown up to wrangle them back into line.

he'd often had been the sole one to step between them and those the feral raptors saw as prey - the constant shadow obscuring those they'd harm from sight with a solid wall of scales often enough.

he eyed them briefly with a hum "I hope she won't be a problem towards the others - and my children when they find their way back from adventuring" he rumbled, cocking his horned head - listening to the language between the three, their conversations in their own ways.

"Alpha home. Blue home?" Owen babbled worriedly towards the blue-tainted raptor, desperately trying to get her to calm down, with Masie's help. Delta's babble made Owen nod his head, dropping the deer he held in his jaws for Blue to take. "Eat prey." Owen snorted softly, the Alpha's claws tapping against the ground before he backed up to meet Lucifer's comment with his own.

"She's scared, this isn't the form she knows me in." Owen murmured, his voice a soft rumble as he watched the interaction between three raptors. They were all sisters, they needed to work this out. Delta was the Beta, and he was sure that he'd have to deal with them all when a fight for dominance broke out. "I'd like everyone to stay clear of Blue for a bit, let her pack deal with this. Please." Owen asked the draconic male, a single amber eye wary as he moved to gently nudge Delta with his snout, an affectionate show of familiarity.

Owen continued to keep his gaze on Masie, cautious of his young's ability to communicate. She was learning, but she didn't realize just how aggressive Blue was, or how fearful she was. She didn't know this was him, but he would show her who it was.

"Blue, eyes up." Owen rumbled deeply, his spines shivering as an air of familiar dominance came over him. To outsiders, like the Vernandi, it would have seemed like a challenge for Alpha, but they couldn't be so wrong. Once one of his pack members were gone for a time, he had to reassert his dominance in the only way he knew how other than fighting: commands.

“Mai,” gentle squeak of a faint voice, uneasy was it tumbled from pale tongue. Time had seem them grow more confident in minimal abilities where it came to communication, though still their vocabulary was greatly lacking and centred around only a handful of words, the bestowed nickname favoured. It seemed not to matter their attempts to force their tongue to conform to the shape of her proper name each had fallen through, the shortened state strained as they struggled to get it out, but enough they had grown to using it.

It had grown increasingly hard to find either child separated for any great expanse of time, intrigue within both driving them to follow the other as though they are a lost puppy seeking friendly company, and so the cinnamon toned cub is moving closer. Short steps drew them closer, unease evident in the bright blue of eyes that moved between the larger of the raptors, one having already proven herself a danger in her want to view CCLIV as nothing more than a source of nourishment. Might this other be the same, taking the small stature primarily made of baby fat as an easy snack.

POWER OVER MIND
BLUE — FEMALE — THE TYPHOON — NONE — EXTREME PHYSICALLY EASY MENTALLY
Blue had plenty of experience when it came to the aspect of pain. The Utahraptor had to get used to the many instruments that the humans had to use on her when she was younger. They had to run all of their ridiculous tests, and it had caused a large amount of distress to the female at the time. Something that Owen wasn't exactly appreciated of at the end either. Eventually, she got used to the areas that they poked and prodded, and knew that if she behaved well enough that she would be rewarded in the end. That was more than well enough to get her to behave as long as she got food. The raptors being somewhat food motivated as well as being mentally motivated to do certain things. Blue did like getting food whenever she wanted it, but she took interest in her packmates and how they were fairing, especially Alpha. She often didn't call the other by his name, as she knew with his ranking it meant more than that. The Utahraptor hadn't been in an increasing amount of pain when she was captured and chained up in an unknown place. She was used to having small incisions done, but only on the top of her body. When it came to the softer scales that covered her stomach, feeling a blade slice through her flesh slowly had been enough to make her squirm and move against her restraints.

Due to the number of scars that covered her body, there were plenty of unprotected areas from her scales that were there. It was easier for her to get injured but due to her captures constantly reopening her wounds meant that the pain in that area was almost nonexistent. The trust that she had when she was around others and her own kind gone from the torturous months that she had been away. It was a painful lesson that no one could be trusted. She learned to try and move away from any stress or anything that made her uncomfortable in her confined space. This was no different. Blue watched as the massive beast moved the smaller creature underneath itself. She knew a protective manner when she saw one. Her amber eyes flickered to the smaller creature that was like her and her sisters but different. If she didn't want the large creature to get angry at her and potentially attack for attacking another packmate. Her eyes tracked the small creature as she began to make her way back toward the stream. Her eyes looking between Owen and Masie as if to see what she could get away with.

She was still hungry, the fish have done little to quell her hunger completely. Blue did have a slow metabolism thanks to the majority of her DNA being reptilian so she could go days without food. But weeks? Not possible with such an active predator like herself. At least she used to consider herself an active predator. Blue took another step back, raising one of her arms to scratch at the side of her neck in a stressed manner, a couple scales falling to the ground as she shook herself slightly. A chitter vocalization caught her attention, and she looked down at the fish that were being brought to her again. Considering how protective the big creature was of the smaller creature, Blue didn't approach her again and instead let the other get slightly closer to her. Blue emitted a huffing sound as she took in the scent of the fish and her name was used. A name that she hadn't heard used in such a long time. Blue lowered her body to the ground and grasped the edge of a tail of a fish and pulled it closer to her, even taking a step away from Masie herself as she gulped down the fish. She repeated this several time till the fish was gone, and she was actually starting to get full now.

Her shackle rattled with the movement of her arm as the small creature began to speak. It did seem to make sense now that this was a strange looking raptor of sorts. Her eyes turned toward the large beast, and her sickle claws tapped the ground, her tail lashing behind her like a whip. That couldn't be her Alpha. This had to be some sort of trick. Groups like these did enjoy their tricks. "No. Alpha." Blue would babble out in her own language looking at the Indominous Rex. This couldn't be her Alpha. He was so... different. She knew to see him change from human to an animal was basically a shock, but seeing him turn again? Didn't make any sense. She didn't know how powers worked. She was basically stating that Owen was not Owen, which he was and it was her state of confusion that was clouding her judgment. Blue had somewhat of a history with Luci. When she first arrived in this world, the large dragon had managed to attack her after killing one of his packmates. Blue had only done that because she had been hungry and had arrived in a storage container on the territory. The creature had simply been in the wrong place wrong time. She knew that she wasn't capable of beating the beast alone, but her sisters had attacked the other several times before when he tried to get in the way. With only Delta nearby, this meant that there would be no chance of winning.

Luci having left a couple scars on her own body which had faded away. Such as the chunk that was missing from her tail that was scarred over years ago. Simple to say, Blue didn't like him. He always got in the way. Blue's movements stopped when Luci entered the picture, and her stance immediately turned to be aggressive instead of being cautious. This beast again? If the other wanted to fight her that was up to him, as she let out a screech from her maw, her jaw snapping shut in a loud clapping sound in a threatening display toward the larger animal. She was in no shape to fight, and she would slowly and cautiously begin to move on the opposite side of Luci, but still keeping her distance from both the large creature and Masie. Her mouth would remain constantly gaped as she panted, her body temperature having the chance of getting dangerously high in such a tropical place such as this one. Of course, Blue had no idea of anything that Luci said.  Another loud babble rang out, and it came from the larger creature. Her head snapped in his direction, and she lowered her body again, widening her stance as if to show that she was ready to move at any moment. How fast she was capable of moving, though, has yet to be seen in her current state. Blue's tail lashed once before she let out her own uncertainty of babbling.

"Alpha. Different. Strange." Blue would babble toward the large creature in front of her. Every time she did vocalize, it sounded like she hadn't done so in a very long time. She wasn't sure if she considered this beast to possibly be Alpha. He looked far too different, and as far as she was concerned the large creature was a potential threat for her own survival if it got aggressive. However, the sight of the dead ungulate certainly did catch her attention. As food always did. Her eyes stopped looking at Owen for a couple moments as she looked at the deer, then back at him. This was some sort of trap. The Utahraptor knew how to set a trap for prey, and this seemed like something that could potentially harm her. But with how hungry she was, she was basically desperate. Each step she took slowly, and each time she looked up at the larger beast looking for any change in his body language. Finally, she was able to grab one hoof of the animal and drag it back to where she was standing before, which was her back to the shore instead of the railroad. She was positioned slightly to the left of the railroad gate. Once she got the corpse in the spot, she looked up again and noticed the large creature had moved slightly away to talk to the other beast that she had a distaste for.

A low growl escaped her jaws as she held down the deer with her front claws, before clamping her jaw on the flank of the animal, ripping fur and muscle as she pulled her head away from the animal. Fur didn't taste amazing, but she wasn't picking when she had a full carcass to herself. Blood dripped down her chin as she swallowed the chunk of flesh. The large beast turned his attention back to her, keeping Blue from taking another bite from the deer. She at least some form of dominance as she towered over her meal like a desperate animal. Both arms placed on top of it and her lip curled. Then the beast talked a familiar command, and her body seems to freeze momentarily. She knew that command and often than not she followed it extremely well. The sound of aggressive purring escaped her mouth as she wasn't able to keep eye contact as she looked at everyone else. Too nervous to keep eye contact with potential threats other than Delta around. When she did look back at Owen, the Utahraptor would let out a defiant screech. Then another small animal approached and seemed to take her interest for a couple seconds. Utahraptors were opportunistic when it came to food. She hadn't seen a cat that tiny before, but was it honestly a meal? Blue's eyes would remain on CCLIV for a good duration.
