THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT YOU — MARINA - PINCHER - 10-15-2018

Pincher loved and adored parties. But he wasn't really the one to be a wild chaos maker. He was iffy and picky on who he allowed to his parties and they tended to be prestigious and "show-off" like. They tended to be fancy to show off all he had worked hard for but this wasn't really his party. This was his college friends' party on their glamorous beach house and Pincher reluctantly had decided to accept the invitation even if he knew how wild the parties tended to become. Luckily for his friend, the man enjoyed parties that were located near the sea, his fondness and deep connection to the ocean always drawing him in. So, he had decided to get ready. It took a few hours due to how picky he was, changing to multiple outfits until deciding to just go simple but with a trace of glamour touching his appearance. He wore a solid pressed dark blue button up shirt and black jeans with a rather expensive watch hanging on his right wrist. He brushed his jet black hair to its usual style (he couldn't really do much with an undercut hairstyle but he had always had this style and couldn't see himself in anything different) and added some seasalt to give it that classical "surfer" wave to it. He glanced down at his watch, noticing it was time to head out if he wanted to arrive decently early.

He never liked being late but at the last second, he remembered he had stupid homework and halted at the door. He glanced at the sleek table in his apartment and hesitated before sighing, knowing that he preferred to be responsible than having fun. Guess he had to arrive late then. With soft Romanian curses falling from his lips, the tanned student settling down to focus on his work. It took an hour of scribbling and scrambling for answers, his eyebrows knitted with concentration until he finished and he finally was able to rise. He glanced at his watch again and flinched, realizing how much time had passed and the multiple texts he had received in his phone. Supposedly students from different colleges had been invited as well and Pincher wondered who would be there since he knew a decent amount of them. Sucking in a deep breath, he turned and headed out, grabbing his brown leather jacket and rushing to his ebony sleek car. He felt rather anxious since it had been a while since he had gone to a party but hopefully there would be booze to settle his nerves as he drove towards the seaside of the town, his cool blue eyes locked onto the setting sun as time passed. Finally, he arrived to the large beachhouse, eyes narrowing with slight envy though he simply remained deadly silent as he opened the door and stepped in.

He was met with screeching and explosive music, his ears drowned by all the vast noises. He swore he just heard a bottle shatter but he wasn't too sure until he watched his friend rush towards him with a drink while telling him to "drink up". "You said a couple of people. Not a whole fucking university..." Pincher grumbled as he grabbed the cup and glanced warily down at it while he watched his friend roll his eyes and telling him to not be such a buzzkill before heading to go dance. Pincher's lower jaw tightened as he heard the music only get louder and he tried to walk by, bumping into multiple people. Being the tall fuck he was, he bumped his forehead a bit on the low outlines of entryways before reaching the kitchen. He dumped the gross sugary alcohol his friend had given him into the sink and grabbed a bottle of vodka, opening it with ease and beginning to drink it by himself. He leaned against the frame of the sink as he watched others shout and dance, his figure stiff until the alcohol began to take its effect. A small chuckle. Then a few smiles. Rolling up his sleeves, the muscular man began to join in. His hair was already a bit tussled and he walked slowly to the backyard of the beachouse. As much as he wanted to have fun inside, he had heard some people were splashing around in the beach behind them and he halted at the backyard balcony to observe the other idiots splash each other. He closed his eyes as he pulled out a cigarette and lit it, his tall figure outlined by the setting sun as he inhaled the nicotine smoke and allowed his mind to wander. It was fun and all but he felt rather lonely. Maybe he shouldn't have broken up with that gal he had hooked up with a few weeks ago. But it didn't matter now, it was better he was alone than being scolded for every little thing he did as the Roux exhaled, smoke dancing away in the cool night air.

A party. It had to be a party. And her biggest concern was the fact that she had absolutely nothing to wear. There was also the issue of the fact that she didn't go to many parties because she was busy but her best friend had mention this one and how unique it was going to be that she couldn't just pass it up now. After all, just talking to her manager at the cafe allowed for her to take that weekend off and actually get to go to it. But what the heck was she going to wear. The woman stood there, eyes staring at her closet in dread before she sighed softly. Shaking her head a little she looked at her mirror for a moment before the frown deepened. She should have had at least some kind of time to actually prepare for this. Really, she couldn't show up and look like her normal self. Or could she? Not like she would run into a lot of people who knew who she was but at the same time she wanted to be presentable too. Something casual but approachable? Whatever the heck that meant. She wasn't into fashion like her friend was and she hadn't even asked him what she should wear or what would go with what. He would have known what to wear and what colors went with what. Oh well, guessed she would make due with whatever it was that she had. Lifting up a hand she trailed her fingers through her closet before she decided on a warm brown top. It wasn't getting cold, at least not yet, but she still liked to wear long sleeves. The shoulders were cut out and showed her milky skin, the collar embroidered with a pattern that was barely seen. It was a pretty thing really and of course she was silly enough to wear white jeans because who didn't like white jeans. Sure they got dirty easier but who cared right? A smile pulled across her lips as she moved to also put on a black one piece bathing suite, it looked cute and had faux jewels encrusted along the sides of it.

It was the beach after all and how could she pass up the opportunity to get into the water. After taking a quick shower she got dressed, slipping on some sensible shoes before she started to brush through her hair. The dark chocolate strands moved through the brush with ease and she thread her fingers through it before she sighed softly and decided to leave it down. It wouldn't bother her that much anyway to have it down for one night. Green eyes stared back at her in the mirror and her gaze traced over her freckled face before she tried to psych herself up. "Come on, Marina. Ya got this!" She breathed out before she turned with her hands on her hips and walked proudly out of the bathroom. But then a thought pressed into her head. But what if they make fun of the way she talked? Nerves came back in full force and she wondered if she should just skip the party. Movie night inside sounded better and she looked at her empty home before sighing dryly. No, can't do that. She had to have fun tonight and she would. Grabbing a light jacket the woman slung it over her shoulder before she grabbed her keys and left out of the house like an eager beaver. The drive to the place didn't take that long but when she saw the home she couldn't help but marvel at it. No way was she able to afford anything like that. And all the people. Geez. It looked like a mad house full of dancing and loud music, bottles in the front yard. Sucking in her bottom lips she began to nibble on it out of habit as she parked and left to go and be a part of the festivities. Immediately she was engulfed, suffocating against bodies that bumped and pushed against her. It was so claustrophobic that she had to push just to make her way to the kitchen.

Taking a deep breath in she looked for a drink, debating on what she could drink. Really she shouldn't even considering her over zealousness when it came to drinking but what was a small bottle. Her red stained lips curled into a smile as she grabbed a small bottle of liquor, something with flavor as she strolled out to head to the beach. After all that was also the main reason she had come here anyway. To feel the sand beneath her toes and the wind on her bare arms. Though she didn't get too far on the sands when she noticed a guy looking down at the water. Her head slightly tilted and she lifted a hand to wave at him, motion for him to come on down. "Come on, ain't gonna have any fun just standin' there!" Maybe he was just having a smoke break and was going to go back inside and she'd interrupted. The thought made heat bloom along her neck and turn it red before she quickly turned around. Good job there. Just shouting at some unfortunate soul. Ah, fix it. Turning she tired for a smile as she curled her feet against the sand, shoes forgotten in some room of the house. "Ah, ya ain't got tae. Just thought ya know, ya ain't want tae just do nothing. It's a party after all."
