OUT OF PLACE AND UNDERDRESSED [open] - Luca - 10-12-2018

The weather was changing again. Sure the Typhoon was a tropical paradise, and it would never get as cold there as it did in other places, but Luca wasn't used to the feeling of being without his fire. Usually it burned inside him, heating his blood to unnatural temperatures and burning people that touched him when he wasnt expecting it. Now the only sign of his dormant power was the occasional puff of smoke that he stopped to cough up. Without his internal flame, he was starting to realize just how cold the world was. He hadn't left his home much since that freakout of his, but when he did he spent his time outside huddled in whatever sun he could find (a difficult feat for a creature of the night). He had thought about dragging his blankets around to curl up in them when he needed to, but by that point they were so bloodstained that they'd probably earn him odd looks. Luca liked to boast that any attention was good attention, but that was only as long as people didn't think he was gross. Stupid and annoying he can handle, but the mere thought of people considering him disgusting brought tears to his eyes.

The time to venture outside was nearing once more, though. He was running out of supplies, and he knew he should probably do something about the nasty cough he had picked up from someone. It was one of the gross chesty ones, and it was starting to really tire him out. Still, he didn't want to put any more on Junji's plate. The angel had only just gotten back, after all. A ragged sigh tore itself from his lips and he pulled himself to his paws, finally slinking from his hut and into the pale light of sunrise. Immediately the outside air sunk into his skin and he started to shiver, biting down on his lip. Damn, it was always so much worse than he remembered.

"The endless Void, The gazing abyss, The bottomless ocean of horror...It coiled itself around your tender heart"
"You know if you needed anything you could've asked me" a quiet rumble interrupted Luca's no doubt wandering thoughts as the dragon shifted from his vigil near the shadowy perch beside the areas where the others slept - and suspiciously closer to Luca's home, him worried? nah that simply couldn't be it, he wasn't one to be a mother hen over an ill family member, no sir - Lucifer's tail idly curling back around himself - he kept something of a polite distance though, motsly because he didn't think his unnatural cold aura would do a sick little brother any favours.

not that he wouldn't expend the ffort and energy to change that air to warmer if Luca asked - he did worry after all and family was a precious thing to him, so cut off in these realms from his own, if they still lived at all.

"Are you sick or something?" Thea tilted her head as she approached, the closest she could get to concern in her tone as she watched Luca, the emotion in her voice never reaching those pupiless eyes of hers, though it was a bit hard to tell.

She hadn't noticed the change as much as others, with her previous home, no, home, being someplace that was much colder during winter, but every time a chilly enough breeze came, especially at night, she would notice, even if it didn't chill her to the bone.

Even after all this time, she was still struggling to grasp the concept of caring for somebody. As soon as it was in her reach, it seemed to flit away, leaving Thea to chase after it, and this led to her attempts to try to care, and while they may seem successful, deep down, she knew it was still out of her grasp, and it frustrated her greatly. She wanted to understand it, not just emanate it even though it was false. "Wouldn't soup or something warm you up? I'm pretty sure somebody around here has something hot to eat."

[div style="margin: 0 auto; width: 60%; font-family: georgia; font-size: 12pt; text-align: justify;"]Unlike Luca, Victor greatly enjoyed the cold weather. However, the 'cold' that was overtaking the island was nothing more than a summer's breeze back home. Apart of him wanted to see all his group mates last a single day in the winter back in Alaska. He bet that most would give in rather quickly. Being brought into and raised in a country and a state that knew nothing but the subzero climate, Victor grew use to it, and fast. "Try going for a run. That always warms me up." Joining the group, the husky's gaze rested upon Luca's figure.

[div style="width: 480px; height: auto; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; font-size: 9pt; line-height: 13px;"]Voices were the only thing that drew the male toward the scene. They were talking about something and he was able to pick up the small sounds of conversation rather against his will. His senses were more sharpened then usual and he already knew what that meant but it was a ways away before it got that bad. Yet there was a sweet smell in the air, something lingering and deadly to his senses. At first he stiffened, caught up between just leaving altogether but he was partially sure he was close enough that he would be noticed and he didn't want to appear as being rude. Not when he knew so little of the people that were in this area now. Smells besides the sweetness also lifted up into the air and he couldn't even distinguish who was who just yet. But they were of the Typhoon and so he imagined that they would be more kind to him than the one that had thrown something at his nose earlier. Shifting pale pink toed paws the white male allowed himself to come a bit closer, lingering on the fringes when something about cold was brought up. Was it cold? The tropical ecosystem would suggest other wise and he could feel the warmth of the son against his spin but that didn't mean the same for everyone.

Flicking his stubbed tail slightly which caused most of his rear to jerk he allowed himself to creep a bit closer to the scene, shifting nearly blind eyes across the blobs of the crowd. "Who's cold? I can possibly lend some warmth if they would like?" His head was angled down, though tilted off to the side as the doberman allowed his body to slowly sink down to his haunches. After all to make friends one offered to help or so he would like to believe. Maybe the individual would be okay with close proximity and he allowed his head to lift up, gaze flicking to the pinks that seemed more vibrant in his gaze.
