Every so often, the wolf would come this way. To the hot springs. It would help relax her tense muscles, and also, to warm herself up. It would relax her mentally, too, as not much had happened in that area. Everyone there just wanted to take a break.

Runicflare lead her tired paws to the glowing spring, taking in its warmth and watching the illuminated warm pond let out ripples. She sighed as it appeared to work its magic, releasing the tension in her muscles. She swore, she could sleep here all day.

Which is... exactly what happened. Except her dream was... awful. Though she did not move — did not make a sound in the real world, her mind was a much, much scarier place. She thought she saw her mother, and it warped into a form of her disgraceful father. He stared at her, golden eyes cold though a smirk was on his face. He spoke a garbled mess, something that her ears could not understand. Her father... did not feel right. He felt like darkness, malicious and envious. He runs to his dearest daughter—

No! The wolf bolts up from her sleep, breathing heavily. She scrambled out of the hot springs, only to see that she has changed. Her eyes... why were they gold? And why was she... looking like this? Blue and silver? Blue and gold...? She stared at herself in the water.

More importantly, why did she have that X marking?
