EXPERIMENTATION - dual introduction - Orion - 10-07-2018
[member=2498]SYNDICATE[/member] Abraxas had lived a long time, observing the littlest of things and remembering the times when he used to enjoy the small things. Eventually, that grew old. Years pass, lovers passing away, and close friends fading off, the African Wild Dog become closed off and unable to enjoy life greatest's pleasures. To him, there had to be a solution to his dissatisfaction. Something... or rather someone... who would prevent the bad times. The perfect mindful being to be his friend, his savior, and his protector. Someone of his own... The natural experimenter had an idea. But as troubles grew and his mind began to take a toll on his work, his good morality faded. With every step towards the finality of his situation, he grew displeased. This experiment was no longer good-hearted. Then again, was it ever? This supposed 'friend' and protector he was going to raise from the ground up was no longer such a thing, but instead someone designed to pleasure him in any way. Simply, he was the master to a slave. Someone designed to only be there for him, not themselves. From the beginning, this truly was no beneficial situation. Yet he believed so. Through persuasion and power, Abraxas had managed to pursue a delightful partner. Healthy, but unintelligent and unaware of her partner's intentions, they worked together as a team to create their perfect litter. Little did she know, their was no intention in his word. They were not in love, nor would they raise children together. She was the piece he needed to his puzzle and the final piece in his chess game before he yelled checkmate. Finally, they had succeeded in their goal. With a pregnant and willing wife, he proceeded onto the next step which would need a lot of courage and willingness to complete. He was too far along to give up. The night was long for the couple as his child-bearer's screams raced throughout the Ascendant's underground complex, but that was all worth the trouble. Soon enough, their litter was born. Three beautiful pups. One was small, whelping for it's mother attention. The other was silent, waiting patiently for this time... but there was one that caught his attention. This child would become to be known as Syndicate. The dog fought it's way between the two with no remorse and claimed what was his, claiming it's spot at the top. Abraxas, pleased as ever, made his choice. The mother and her two children died by his hand. Within the underground complex, their screams were deafened. Only father and child remained. The child that remained unphased, staring at his father. Bloodied paws grabbed at Syndicate, bringing him close. Unaware to Abraxas, the child was morphing. By providing three vulnerable souls up for the taking, the child had unwillingly absorbed their souls into his own to his own. With every kill he would make in the future, a new trait would appear within Syndicate. Abraxas, upon finding out, would use this to his advantage. Raising the child to become his own personal servant was not hard. Through unmoral experiences and experiments, the male had figured out how to create a brainwashed warrior designed for his own pleasure. No longer was this child his son, only a piece to his game. Through pain, ignorance, and strict abuse, Abraxas had finally succeeded in creating him. Dubbing his newfound guardian Syndicate, he figured that there would no longer be any problems... as long as this thing got rid of them. With each fatality, their bond grew and the chimera grew stronger. Now they were here. They had been yet to be found out. No one had questioned the disappearance of his wife or what had happened to the other two children she had, but instead let their ignorance run their lives. Their story had been left in the dark, it's secret kept between two mischievous figures that were unwilling to share their relationship or past. Wandering the picture hall, the male had sat himself down in front of a taped picture. Hazelnut colored eyes scanned it slowly as the presence behind him did whatever it pleased, as he was off the leash in public. The African Wild dog wished to be alone in the moment, reminiscing on what was and what that led to these days, as the photo was of his former love (if he could call it that). She was unknown these days, but her memory lived on within him. With a sigh, his eyes closed and he looked towards the ground, then focused his attention to what was going on behind him. Hopefully Syndicate hadn't noticed his inattention to him. After all, he most likely shouldn't of been focusing on the dastardly past. It breathed, it ate, it ate, it ate. There was nothing else but the rasp of it's own breathing as it only pushed to live for one singular purpose. To serve the One. The voices echoed and howled in it's head always being and doing, judging and yelling. Shouting and wanting but there was always that one command that one tenet which none of them could break. Do not disobey the One. It knew and it understood this as it formed from it's creation. Time proved to be the enemy but now time was all that it had and it was there to do nothing more but be, be until it was needed. It didn't remember a mother, or the brothers that it had. No, it only remembered as itself and the voices that threatened to overwhelm and send it into another mindless rage. They were restless like a frothing ocean just barely contained but it tried to sweep through voices that nagged and pushed and hurt. Always hurting, always aching for something. Now it stood behind the One and did nothing more even though it was off of it's leash. It was content to just stand there perhaps too still, too quiet. White vertical pupils trained on nothing but a wall that was so close to it, a twitch of muscles in it's cheek. Black saliva too thick seem to dribble out of it's partially open mouth, thickly dropping to the floor. A low rasp of breathing that lifted up into the room before it noticed movement, something. A distraction from inner turmoil that was readily taken as it's head jerked to the side and eyes focused on the One. When he moved it moved that was very simple and very plain if anyone looked or cared to be observant of them. The chain muzzle that usually was around it's mouth was no where to be seen and for that it wondered. Was there to be food? It craved flesh, food to satisfy hunger that ravaged a sickly stomach. It moved forward, a taloned paw which caused a sharp clicking against the ground. The sound made it flinch for a moment, voices becoming a cacophony at that one sound before it straightened up and pulled large ears forward, brushing against thick horns. It waited then to see what the One would say to it. What the One wanted of it. It had not been paying attention to anything but itself for a long time and it was becoming increasingly irritated without some type of distraction from itself. Unsurprisingly, it did neither, and probably made him look more like an old fuck losing his eyesight. Not that far off the mark, unfortunately, but it was fine- he'd resigned himself to age a while ago, which sounded ridiculous, sure, except burning out tended to age someone far beyond their years. Four wasn't, in actuality, old, but he felt triple that, sometimes, even in the company of people not incredibly far off from him. When he could make an estimation of their age, at least- the whatever-the-hell drooling in the picture hall didn't have a discernible timer, and frankly, he really didn't want to keep walking down the corridor now. Drooling. He had an issue with that. He also had an issue with not knowing who the hell these guys were, a pair he'd never even seen before and yet stood in the picture hall like they belonged. "Please tell me you're gonna mop the floor." The pulsating jumped when his obsidian gaze lowered pointedly to the mess left by dripping saliva. "Are you new?" Onision wasn't far behind Gabriel for once, slowly walking over with a neutral expression on his face. Two more newcomers, two more mouths to feed. You see, Oni was a pessimist, constantly thinking of the world as a bad place, or that bad stuff would always happen, so he wasn't so fond of getting close to people anymore. After all, everyone always left. His family was a good example of that. Sitting down next to Gabriel, Oni dipped his head to the two guys whom had joined together. "The rain will wash it away, don't mind it." Grumbled the Lieutenant, his tail tucking under his paws. "My name is Onision Mikaelson-Folie, when'd you two join?" Oni meowed, shrugging his shoulders idly. all you give me is a heartbeat —

[W]isker Re: EXPERIMENTATION - dual introduction - azazel. - 10-10-2018
Azazel, at the moment, knew nothing of how bad the world could be. He still thought everything was good and nothing would be bad as long as he stayed here. That everyone was good in nature and wouldn't be, couldn't be, bad. The canine had grown into a habit of following the others, afraid that he would be lost if he went off by himself. He'd find his way, of course, if he did get lost, but it wasn't something he wanted. For now, he was trailing after an odd hybrid, one much larger than him. At the sight of the other canine, and the creature looming behind him, Azazel stopped in his tracks. Everything about it screamed that it wasn't normal. The creature, quiet and looming, drool dripping onto the floor. The other canine didn't seem to mind, and Azazel found his ears flattening against his skull. He kept his gaze on the fairly normal canine, trying to ignore the odd one as he eased forwards. "Hello." His voice was much more hesitant, and there was no hiding that the sight of the chimera scared Azazel a bit. Re: EXPERIMENTATION - dual introduction - Orion - 10-10-2018
At Gabriel's snap, Abraxas' head slowed moved over to acknowledge his absurd comment. Was that towards Syndicate or him? Figuring it was a quick reaction and nothing of importance, the canine put it to the back of his mind and offered a sideways glance towards his son. If he needed to bring that back up later, he would. For now, it was the least of his worries. With Syndicate's appearance, Abraxas was not surprised by the comments made around them or the creepy aura that put people off. Still, if only could see past the mask... Yeah, right. With a glaring expression, Abraxas let his words snap out so he could gather Syndicate's attention in one spot. Acknowledging the others would do him no good. The tone may shock the others. To him, it was just a fatherly verbal warning. "Clean up your mess, Syndicate. It's rude," he acknowledged towards his partner. Even if his son had to do it by cleaning it up with his tongue, that would suffice. As long as it was out of the way for their guests, the male would hold himself and put on a smile for their audience. "Sorry, he's got a little problem," came his unenthused, rather apologetic tone. "Part of being a canine involves the slobber." At this point, was that thing even a canine? It was some gruesome chimera by now, indistinguishable from it's former self. Abraxas wasn't oblivious to this but was still going to use it as an excuse. They had achieved their goal of laying low. No one had recognized them, thankfully. "We've been here our entire lives, living within the underground complex," he went to note. "Probably why you haven't seen us much." With soundproof walls, echoing halls, and shady environments within the depths of this peaceful clan's observatory, not many came down here besides those who really needed somewhere to say. Everyone eventually came and went though. Only Abraxas and Syndicate useless remained in it's hollow complex. "Pleasure to leave that place though. It gets lonely down there sometimes..." Not that he necessarily cared. Darkened eyes shifted towards the lieutenant. For being here for so long, he barely knew about any of the superiors since he refused to acknowledge their existance. To him, he was the one running the show. "Seeing that there's a roof over our heads, I'm sure that the rain won't wash it away." His words were blunt. Abraxas wasn't someone who had a pleasant outlook on those lower than him like he used to. Now he was reserved to a small set of people. With Onision's current comment and Gabriel's previous, he wasn't so satisfied. He should of stayed inside. "Hello, little one," he sweetly replied with a furrowed brow and craned head. Still, he was rather disinterested. They were all good-hearted people and he appreciated their presence, but he didn't find any enjoyment here besides patting himself on the back. "My name is Abraxas, you all are...?" |
