STUPID WITH LOVE / myah - COSMIIX - 10-06-2018 Re: STUPID WITH LOVE / myah - myah - 10-07-2018 [color=#331900]
Of course, flowers weren't particularly... common, in this climate, so the sight of colorful crowns sitting on the ground immediately drew Myah's attention. She had been leaving the village when she saw the dragonet, the color of sunset, working on something with the flowers. The Selkirk rex tilted her head to the side, narrowing her chocolate colored eyes, trying to get a closer look. She knew that she could sometimes be imposing - she had a habit of just going up to individuals or groups of individuals, and finding out for herself what they were doing. She could read lips, but it was still difficult, she had just learned how. The feline approached, and with a sigh of relief, realized that this situation wouldn't require much of an explanation. He was making flower crowns. The question still remained, however; where did he get all of these beautiful flowers? Myah hadn't seen many colorful blooms amongst the white snow that coated the Snowbound territory. She was a bit intimidated, mind you. He was after all, a dragon. She didn't want to impose, just in case he had a temper. She hadn't met him yet, and for all she knew, he was a grump. A grump who just happened to make... flower crowns. Myah approached and furrowed her brow, an inquisitive look about her soft features, one that begged an explanation of some sorts. Myah could decipher his greeting by reading his lips - 'oh hello there!'. In response, the curly feline smiled at the dragonet, her dark chocolate colored eyes narrowing as her cheeks rose to show her sharp teeth, in what appeared to be a smile. She seated herself across from him, the snow cool on her paws and legs as she looked down at the flowers after she finished his sentence. She flicked her ears, blinking quickly. A super secret place? Wow! They must be really special, then. She didn't want to touch them without permission, especially if they were from a super secret place! She looked up in time to catch his next sentence, urging her not to tell anyone. She smiled and shook her head, making the motion of 'zipping her lips'. She wouldn't tell anyone. She couldn't really tell anyone, to be fair. She hadn't ever learned to speak. She had been born deaf, and hadn't been given proper instruction on speaking. It was a difficult thing to pick up if you couldn't hear what it was supposed to sound like. As he continued to speak, Myah wondered if he knew that she was deaf. He was talking fairly quickly, so she figured that he didn't know. Which was fine, Myah wasn't offended or anything very easily. She watched him explain the seashell - which was, indeed, very pretty. The way that it curled at the ends and reflected the light in what seemed to be thousands of colors was beautiful. Perhaps Myah's lack of hearing made her appreciate things she could see even more. To her, her surroundings were songs. She blinked quickly, mesmerized by the shell. She knew that she wouldn't be able to hear the ocean through it, but - could Tama really hear the ocean? She wondered, a bit envious of the fact that he could. Myah looked over at the flowercrowns, her eyes lighting up. She very rarely saw such beautiful flowers in this type of environment, so it was neat to see such colorful little crowns. She selected one carefully, it had pinks in it, and she really loved pink, she held it in her paws for a moment, before placing it on her head. She really wanted to tell him her name, but she couldn't. Usually there was someone around who could tell her name or introduce her, but it was just these two. It was easy to get across simple conversation with hand motions and other forms of sign language, but a name was unique - there was no sign for 'Myah'. She placed a paw to her chest, and opened her mouth, trying to force the word out, but nothing came out, she sat there for a moment with an open mouth, a bit frustrated. She hated feeling inept. Defeated, she took a paw and motioned at her ear and then her mouth, indicating that she could neither hear nor speak. Quite a hurdle to leap, considering she wanted to make friends with this guy - he seemed to be one of the few around her age. She admired the color of his body and the way that his blue eyes contrasted that. His baby-fat was adorable, but she could tell that beneath it, with time, would emerge sculpted and sure features. The female lowered her head embarrassed, and attempted to carry on the conversation. She motioned to the shell and smiled at it, before performing some motions that indicated she thought it was very pretty. |
