WE CAN SAIL AWAY | O; BEACH PARTY - REBECCA MACK - 10-06-2018

SUNHAVEN FEMALE BORDER COLLIE MEDIUM DIFFICULTY PLAYED BY KICKSIE Everyone had been down lately, including Bex. First there were the raptors, which had caused a hectic situation for Sunhaven. Fortunately that was over. But now, spirits and ghosts were dwelling among them, and many were being negatively affected by their presences. As for Bex herself, well, her worry and stress came from a more personal source of conflict. Feelings were odd, especially feelings of regret. She knew that she wasn't doing anything good for herself by ignoring those awful feelings, but it was much easier than having to deal with them. So what did Bex decide to do instead of figuring her shit out? Throw an epic party on the beach, of course!

Bex loved the beach. It was the perfect place for fun events, as well as an escape from life. The beach in the dark was especially beautiful, and would make for an amazing party. The collie worked on setting up her party for several hours, setting up beach chairs and tables upon the sand. After that, she had laid out some food and drinks on the tables. It was mostly pizza and soda, but there were several other options as well. Of course, there just had to be pizza though. Pizza was practically Bex's lifeline, and was the best food for any situation possible. After adding in a few beach balls and other fun things to play with in the water just in case if anyone wanted to, the female began to work on the most important part of the entire party - the bonfire. It took Bex several attempts to even figure out how to get the fire going, but hey, she did it! The collie stepped back and observed her work, smiling. But wait- she almost forgot the decorations! What was a party without fancy decorations to make everything look fun and exciting? She placed lanterns all around the beach, so that they'd have just enough light to see. Streamers and confetti were hung up in palm trees, and she also placed a beach umbrella above the tables of food. Not for the sake of shade since there was no sun to even block out, but because it simply looked nice. Lastly, Bex had put out a stereo to play music, knowing that no party was truly a good one unless it had music. Bex had told a few random clanmates earlier on about her party plans and had asked them to spread the word, so she hoped that word had gotten out and that others would show up. She really need this - to just be able to kick back, relax, and socialize. It would help to take her mind off other things. Hopefully it would be as successful as she was anticipating. After all, who wouldn't want to go to a party where they could all sit around the fire and eat pizza, and tell each other scary stories? It sounded perfect to Bex. For now, she seated herself beside the fire, waiting for others to arrive. Re: WE CAN SAIL AWAY | O; BEACH PARTY - JERSEYBOY - 10-06-2018 [div style="width: 500px; text-align: justify;font-family: verdana; letter-spacing: 1px; font-size: 7pt; word-spacing: 2px; line-height: 1.5;"]Unlike Bex, Jerseyboy had been content as of lately. Nothing . . . much had happened ( to him, at least ). Maybe this had been the break that he needed. He had walked out of the Typhoon, fuming and irritated after his brother's wedding. He wondered if Jacob was still happy with that shady asshole. A part of him wondered if he should go back and see how the happy couple was doing ( and if he broke his sensitive little heart, then he'd shove his tail down his throat ). Then again, Sunhaven was doing a good job at distracting him from the fact that he hadn't visited Jacob in two months and that he must've came off as an asshole. Oh well. Jerseyboy jumped at every opportunity to have fun. Tonight's agenda? Go to the beach bonfire, maybe find a hookup. He doubted that, though - the hottest piece of ass here apparently wasn't into guys. Either way, the tuxedo tom cat had made his way to the beach, glancing around at all of the tables full of snacks and things to munch on. "Heard there was a party goin' on ova' here." He chirped, before swiping a paw full of candy and tossing them into his maw. He then made his way over to the coolers and dug through the ice. He retrieved a can of beer and padded over to the bonfire. Jersey's eyes fixated onto the embers and the tongues of the flames lapping into the air. Re: WE CAN SAIL AWAY | O; BEACH PARTY - calliope - 10-09-2018 ♥♡ Parties weren't something that helped Mira wind down. Of course, she'd never been one for big social situations; it was a given, considering how she acted even in just a casual conversation. Still, she felt obligated to go. If Bex was working hard on making this as fun for everyone as possible, she wasn't going to let that work be for nothing, even if it meant being uncomfortable for a few hours. Who knows, maybe she'd somehow find a way to have fun?
So, with a combination of optimism and force, Mira had shown up to the party. Nervously approaching Bex, she offered a tiny nod of her head in greeting. "H-hey. This is a lovely set up," she complimented the host. She really did make a nice-looking party; if it weren't for the uncertainty over her interactions continuously brewing in her mind, she'd be really excited to be here. After deciding one compliment was enough, Mira headed off on her own, in the direction of the food. Given that it was the main choice, Mira had gone with a slice of pizza. Honestly, she wasn't sure if she'd actually eat it, but it was best to take it just in case. Seating herself by the fire, she put down her plate of pizza and glanced at the flames for a couple of seconds, visibly uncomfortable. Sure, it was a contained fire, but it was still a fire- Ah well, it seemed like everything scared her these days. She decided to put up with it, no matter how much she hated it. After all, this was supposed to be a relaxing get-together with everyone. Re: WE CAN SAIL AWAY | O; BEACH PARTY - GORDON CIPHER. - 10-10-2018 Like Mirabella, social things weren't really Gordon's specialty and quite honestly, the Goldenblood would much rather be in her home than worry about some of the ghosts that haunted camp. Unfortunately, they weren't just in camp and occasionally came through her house as well, phasing in and out of her walls. Gordon believed that the spirits were purposely targeting her and had a lot of trouble sleeping lately. It wasn't her fault, though; the auras the ghosts had were blinding - quite literally - and the she-cat wasn't able to sleep with bright lights in her head. She didn't know how to turn them off. One of the cons of not sleeping was, well, her anxiety being much more spiked and the little munchkin mix tried being near people she was close with more often.
If only Billiam was here. Gordon thought to herself with a frown as she made her way towards the beach, having heard word of the party. While Gordon didn't want to be here and could feel her chest tightening as she made her way towards where the others were, the Goldenblood told herself that it would be better to have a distraction than to focus on the things that were causing her anxiety to spike. It was going to be hard, she knew, but luckily it was Bex hosting the party and Bex was somebody she knew. She wasn't exactly close to Bex per say - at least not as much as she felt with Marina and Bucky, or Bastilleprisoner in The Ascendants - but she did know Bex more than the other two here. Mirabella was a recent joiner of Sunhaven and Jerseyboy wasn't someone Gordon was comfortable with; the guy gave her bad vibes. "Th-this is really nice," Gordon spoke in a soft voice as she walked up to Bex, looking up at the other female with a small smile. Honestly, the munchkin was half-lost in her thoughts as she spoke, so she likely had a dazed look to her eyes as well as her tone being a lot quieter than normal. She was worried about this party, if she was honest. What if the ghosts showed up here? "Thanks for s-setting it up." ★ where all your darkest fears are gonna come for you ! ━
