It was nothing more than another day in "paradise", paws trudging through the shore as the sun beat down on his body. It was a hot day like any other but due to the recent invasion of crabs, the little shits still littered the beach and he could barely place his paws on the sand without feeling a pinch or two every time. He winced as they pinched at him, Marcellus get annoyed to the point he lifted a large paw and swat it viciously at the crabs in his path, tail lashing as it showed off his level of annoyance. He pushed his way through the crowded crabs until suddenly he felt a force come over him, pain filling his body as everything began to hurt. Every bone shifting in and out of place and the crabs certainly didn't help out with any of the pain as they pinched at him vigorously. He hooked his teeth into the corners of his mouth as he tried not to yell out of both pain and shock. It took him a few moments to fully realize that he had felt this pain before with Luca and that had definitely sent him into a widespread panic.

He didn't want to hurt anyone and so he would run only to collapse from the pain. He could feel his body grow smaller and smaller until finally he opened his eyes to reveal his surroundings. So far he felt normal now, not suspecting of much until he got to his paws and stood up, noticing that he was now way closer to the ground than he was before. He lifted a paw to realize that his claws were missing, but not missing rather retractable as they had never been retractable as a cheetah. Confusion and fear were the only two things he felt until he rushed his way to the ocean where he would stare at his reflection, eyes widening in shock as he looked at himself. He wasn't a cheetah anymore but now a domestic cat, a Toyger, and he was livid. He was scared of what had happened to his cheetah body, but also excited because finally he got his first power aside from his mental bond with Luca. Marcel still looked the same in some aspects from his accessories to the placement of his white piebald patches, however he wasn't sure how to react so simply he sat back on the sand and thought to himself, ignoring the occasional pinches of a few crabs.
